This property is part of an original hundred acre woods in the Adirondack Park overlooking Lincoln Pond. My grandfather moved an old ice house under the property in 1943 and built the existing camp in 1949. Her family lives in Florida and has continued to maintain and improve the old camp for the last 40 years. After having done selective logging two years ago we discovered a spot in the back of the property overlooking the pond and with the removal of a couple of trees have a beautiful view of Lincoln Pond. The deck with the Yurt is the beginning of an eventual cabin. I live in the main house from late May until late October and decided to share it with like minded nature loving folks. Backing onto pasture and overlooking the river, it’s designed as a peaceful glamping retreat for two — a place to slow down, unplug, and enjoy the rhythms of farm life. The yurt is traditionally inspired and imported from Mongolia, where yurts have long been used by sheep-raising communities as practical, seasonal homes. That connection felt like a natural fit here. Our farm is centered around pasture-raised sheep, and depending on the time of year you may see animals grazing nearby or hear them settling in for the evening. When animals are on the farm, guests are welcome to arrange a visit. The site is private and has its own entrance, separate from the main farmyard. While we’re close to the road, the yurt sits in a quieter pocket of the property with direct access to the river. Evenings are calm, with the sound of water and the surrounding countryside. Inside, the yurt is simply but comfortably furnished, with a wood stove for heat and solar power for lighting and device charging. This is a true off-grid stay — there is no running water. Cooking is done in a separate outdoor kitchen area with a roof but open sides. It works well in fair weather and most of the year, though winter cooking does mean being prepared for the cold. A nearby propane incinerator toilet, imported from Norway, completes the setup. Access to the yurt is on foot via a short walk from the parking area, so guests should be comfortable carrying their gear. In winter, snow can make access more challenging, and water availability may be limited due to freezing temperatures. Our self-serve farm stand is open year-round and reflects the British roots of the farm, offering baked goods and farm products you won’t typically find locally. Brought my girlfriend here as a little surprise trip for her bday and she absolutely loved it!! I was a little nervous about the weather but it ended up being so cozy inside the Yurt with the snowfall outside. Such a nice and relaxing stay with wonderful hosts that accommodates to all of your needs. Was so relieving to be able to pack nice and light and just hangout. We had everything we needed! Awesome hosts and a an awesome place. Ed made sure we had plenty of wood the entire time and was always available if we needed anything!

You will not regret a stay at Mariaville Goat Farm!! Rick and Ed are the most gracious hosts I have ever met! They have such a beautiful sustainable farm and you would never expect the impeccable treats and food that was delivered by hand to our yurt! Just amazing!! And I cannot say enough about the goats! It was an amazing experience and I totally fell in love with all the goats (especially Audrey Hepburn and Iris) and Rick’s gentle demeanor!! The yurt was awesome and we had a blast. It may be off grid but so comfortable and welcoming! We took the goatie herd for a beautiful walk. I cannot say enough about the farm!! It was perfect!! I will definitely be booking again for next year!! It’s a must!!

3 nights at Scott’s Summit

Paige and I had a wonderful time at Scott’s site! The views were incredible, beautiful sunrises and sunsets were had. The site itself had a lot of great amenities and was well maintained. Scott was a phenomenal host who quickly answered any of the questions we had and gave us plenty of privacy. Plenty of great trails to hike around just a short drive away. Would highly recommend having a larger vehicle like an SUV to get to the site and navigate the terrain. I drive a Toyota rav4 and got around just fine. Would definitely recommend this site, we had a phenomenal time.

2 nights at Mariaville Goat Farm Yurt

I was not expecting the level of hospitality that we received during this trip. I thought going “off grid” meant we would be roughing but man was I wrong! I was completely immersed in a cocoon of comfort and safety. Rick and Ed are the kindest souls who spoke softly as they showed us around and gave us helpful tips on how to interact with the goats and how to enjoy the yurt and property to the fullest. My friend and I took the goat herd for a walk on the trails and everything is well maintained but still completely natural. I laid on a yoga mat and rested with a warm breeze and 5 goats laid beside me and rested. It was so sweet. 🥹 There are beautiful sculptures throughout the property that are made with things that the world would call junk… they’ve turned each piece of “junk” into a work of art….vines intertwined, a slab of rock with smaller rocks and pine cones artfully placed, pieces of broken mirrors lining up along a ridge…stone creatures here and there…I don’t have enough space to list all of the interesting things that we saw! I highly recommend all of the meals, which are delivered right to your door and arranged beautifully. There was so much of everything. Do not bring snacks! You will not need them lol! The yurt itself is cozy and stocked with far more comforts than you can find in any 5 star hotel. I absolutely cannot wait to go back! I simply adore Mariaville Goat Farm!! ❤️

4 nights at Scott’s Summit

We had a lovely stay at Scott’s tent. The view was absolutely beautiful and made the entire stay worthwhile! It was also such a perk having a flushing toilet and creek water for washing. If you’re thinking of booking Scott’s tent, a couple of things to note: Although there is a road that takes you close to the tent, you have to park in a designated parking area which requires about 200 feet of an uphill hike to get your things to the tent. The paths were a little overgrown and the road up was a little tricky. We had no issues in our Jeep Wrangler, but I probably wouldn’t want to drive the road in anything with lower clearance or a much wider body. You can hear the highway at the site, but we got used to it after the first day. There is a flushing toilet in a tent not too far from the main camp, which we loved having available! The site is also very private, which we loved! All in all, as long as you feel comfortable with the drive and hike up, this was a nice spot to spend a long weekend.

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay in the yurt. It’s beautifully decorated and very cozy. Rick and Ed are fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome as soon as we stepped on the farm. My husband is a huge goat lover, and we absolutely loved interacting and hanging out with the goats. The whole experience was wonderful and we can’t wait to go back!

We stayed two nights and thought the yurt was lovely! Ed and Rick have created a very thoughtful, private, comfortable and peaceful space while providing very fresh and delicious food options. They were always available and accommodating making our stay laid back. They made sure we were always satisfied and were flexible with our needs. They made sure we were able to enjoy some goat time and yoga which was a highlight of the experience. Perfect place to enjoy some peace and quiet, fresh prepared meals, and relaxing vibes.
