Atop a mountain in northern Vermont the farm property is made up a rolling hay fields, organic vegetables, flowers, herbs, and old growth hardwood maple forest where we produce maple syrup. The sunsets are some of the best in Vermont! Sandiwood Farm produces artisan maple syrup and grows organic produce, flowers, cannabis, hemp and other herbs. They also host farm dinners, weddings, and other events. You can get your hands dirty and work on the farm if you're interested. This is a 420 friendly farm with samples and tastings. 35 years ago, Bob and Sara Schlosser were married in the barren field that is now Sandiwood Farm. They have slowly built their home, farm, business and raised a family.

Learn more about this land: Texas Hill Brook camp site The Texas Hill Brook site is a flat, wooded campsite on Texas Hill Brook in Huntington. The campsite is roughly 10m x 30m (30' x 100'), large enough for several tents or a small camper/RV. It is accessed by a sloped 50m (about 150') gravel driveway. The narrowest part of the driveway is 2.6m (about 8.5 feet). There is a 3m x 3m (10' x 10') tent platform and a large picnic table. Firewood is provided. Near our home about 120m/400 feet away through the trees but relatively private. Within a short pedal or drive to some of the best mountain biking and hiking Vermont has to offer, 15 minutes to Richmond and Hinesburg, and just a half hour to Burlington. Electricity on site, primitive fire pit, but no other facilities, so ALL waste must be packed out. We have a bucket commode to loan if you don’t have your own.

Our property is nestled in the foothills of the Mad River Valley, close to the headwaters of the river. The property is composed of wetlands, agricultural meadows, old apple trees, and hardwood forest with 700 feet of elevation. All structures on the property are solar-powered and a rainwater system feeds the sink in the outdoor kitchen. There are a handful of individual camp sites available in the spring, summer and fall, as well as a communal outdoor kitchen with lighting, a fire pit, a stone pizza oven and a sitting/yoga deck. We also offer more of a "glamping" experience in our 14 ft yurt, which comfortably sleeps 2-3 people with wood stove heat and a solar battery for lighting. We love sharing this space with others and offering a rustic forest getaway.

We love camping, and when we decided that state campgrounds and the like were just too busy, we found this amazing, secluded property on a small lake with no public access. There is a cabin on the property, which is available for limited rentals. However, we have a great flat yard just a short (2 min) walk to South Pond thats perfect for a tent. There's a rustic outhouse, fire pit, picnic table, and usually games like badminton setup. Our property is a couple miles down a private dirt road. Fishing is great (with a license of course), and the water is perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding.

The field is located next to the Blueberry Hill Inn and Outdoor, nestled in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest and the Moosalamoo Recreation Area—offering stunning sunsets! Ken hosts one of the most incredible campsites I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s one of the kindest souls I’ve met too! Make sure to bring a camera when you visit, the view is not something you’ll want to forget, nor the beautiful sites around the campground. This is a must-stay, and I won’t be surprised if Ken ends up being booked year-round!!! Ken’s site is just perfect. To die for view. Very nice lean to with a hammock where we stood our tent. Clear instructions. He sent a map and called to make sure we will settle good. You need a four wheel vehicle to get close to the lean to. Otherwise, there’s a nice campsite near the bathhouse as well. We loved our stay here. Felt super safe. And the outhouse is very accessible too if you need to go in the middle of the night. Thank you, Ken!

Weekend Trip to ZenDen in Stowe

The cabin is a 1.5 mile walk to the Historic Stowe Village so it is very conveniently located to many restaurants and hikes like Stowe Pinnacle. It is a unique experience for 2-3 people in a small cabin with a firewood hot tub, cold tub soak in a gazebo, a wood stove sauna, two fire pits, an outhouse, a screened porch and grill. Another good feature is that dogs are welcome and have room to roam and relax. Rick was very responsive and accommodating in making sure we were comfortable with everything. He provided great suggestions for dining and hikes. We had another nice stay in beautiful Stowe for a popular fall foliage weekend.

Weekend Trip to BlueberryHill Field Camp

My husband and I LOVED our two-night stay in the bed-in-the-shed this past weekend. We've been up to Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center to do some gravel riding before and knew what to expect as far as amenities go. We were super pleased to have such a lovely, quiet and peaceful place to rest our heads. Shari was kind in her welcome and super communicative before and throughout our stay. We'll be making this a regular camping spot when we're in Vermont for sure!

We loved staying in the yurt during leaf peeping season! We were very warm, cozy, and feeling ‘off the grid’ in this secluded sunshine flooded spot with very little, if any, cell service. Our 26 lb pocket pittie had a blast running around all the hills and hopping around in the brush like a bunny. She was very sad when it was time to leave. I think this spot would be excellent for folks with small children as well because there’s plenty of nooks and crannies to explore without going very far. We loved sitting at the outdoor breakfast nook, reading, and napping in the breeze.

2 nights at The Fairy House

The camp site was well kept and did a great job keeping us warm on a crisp fall night thanks to the furnace. There is a private entrance to the site and it felt perfect for my dog to be able to roam around. Only complaint was the chickens calling at 5 AM inviting my dog to join in, but that's all part of being near a farm. The host was very responsive and a good communicator!

This place was AWESOME! Rick provided everything we needed and more. He even had the sauna hot and ready for us when we arrived! The cabin was in the perfect location, close to everything. My husband and I have traveled all over the world and I have to say this is one of my favorite stays ever! Dr Rick was an awesome host, so many thoughtful touches… loved the Buddha incense burner, with plenty of incense to burn, an endless supply of wood for the wood fired sauna and hot tub, and fire pit . Best of all the cabin is located just a short distance from downtown Stowe Vermont, Smugglers Notch State Park, endless hiking trails and waterfalls. Hotels in Stowe are super expensive but the ZenDen offers all this at a very affordable price. We’ll definitely be back on our next New England road trip!

Full of scenic waterfalls along a Vermont mountain brook, our daughter named the land after dynamite was found during renovations of the former one-room schoolhouse on the property 5 years ago. Naturalists will love the brookside trails, many dipping pools, a zip line, hammocks, and a privy with a woodland view. There are several scenic campsites on the 150 acres, but only one will be rented each night to ensure a special experience. Wifi and power available across the brook outside the farmhouse as needed. No cell service. Spend lazy days exploring the woods, reading a book in a hammock, or sunning yourself on a rock in the river. A newer, larger tent has been set up for 2025 . Roxbury is the geographic center of Vermont - which makes it a great basecamp for adventures. Warren / Sugarbush is 20-25 minutes to the west. Montpelier is 20 minutes to the north. Randolph is 20 minutes to the south. Two brewpubs are within 15 minutes.

This off-the-grid tiny house is nestled on a 23 acre parcel at the end of a quarter-mile dirt road. The property itself is secluded but is less than 2 miles from the heart of Saranac Lake's downtown. This property is bordered by the Saranac River, the backside of Baker Mountain and State Forest. The only other building on the property is our timberframe which we may or may not be at during the time of your visit. The property does have private trails up to the cliffs on the backside of Baker mtn however, the Saranac River is down a steep embankment so it does not make for a good place to launch a boat (several public boat launches nearby). The Mt Baker tiny house is a great basecamp for hiking the Saranac Lake 6-ers, paddling/boating along the Saranac Chain of lakes or Saranac River, Mountain Biking at Dewey, Pisgah or other nearby BETA trails. IMPORTANT DETAILS: This tiny cabin is completely off the grid: no electricity, heat or cooling. Queen sized bed - we provide the linens. The driveway is narrow - so nothing in tow. Drinking water is provided via jug and dispenser. There is a brand new outhouse (no flushable toilet) We have a designated spot for campfires (smores are a must) There is an older propane grill outside for guest use

There are many hotspots for fishing—lots of brook trout! No matter the rod you use, there are many places to try your skills. A fishing/hunting license is needed. CANOE, KAYAK, TUBE Got your own? Bring it! The Lamoille River is a few miles away and a favorite for water lovers. Don't have one, there is a great rental place down the road where you can take one out for the day. Looking for another option to the river? The Belvidere Pond is down the road and offers a peaceful place to paddle around surrounded by the mountains. MAPLE SYRUP/SUGARBUSH Want to learn about the maple sugaring process? We are always happy to give you a tour of our sugarhouse and the woods, and explain how we turn the tree sap into yummy Maple Syrup. (We only boil January-early April.) We do have this year's crop bottled and available for sale! Buy one for morning pancakes, to add to your morning coffee, or to take home! WILDLIFE/BERRIES/MUSHROOMS/FIDDLEHEADS Depending on the time of the year, you can find wild raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms, and fiddleheads. (Please do not pick or eat something if you don't know if it is poisonous!) And, wildlife are around. Look for tracks in the soil, signs they have been there, or if you are really quiet (usually in the early morning or at dusk) you might see deer, geese, or wild turkeys! We love camping, and when we decided that state campgrounds and the like were just too busy, we found this amazing, secluded property on a small lake with no public access. There is a cabin on the property, which is available for limited rentals. However, we have a great flat yard just a short (2 min) walk to South Pond thats perfect for a tent. There's a rustic outhouse, fire pit, picnic table, and usually games like badminton setup. Our property is a couple miles down a private dirt road. Fishing is great (with a license of course), and the water is perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding.

Learn more about this land: Texas Hill Brook camp site The Texas Hill Brook site is a flat, wooded campsite on Texas Hill Brook in Huntington. The campsite is roughly 10m x 30m (30' x 100'), large enough for several tents or a small camper/RV. It is accessed by a sloped 50m (about 150') gravel driveway. The narrowest part of the driveway is 2.6m (about 8.5 feet). There is a 3m x 3m (10' x 10') tent platform and a large picnic table. Firewood is provided. Near our home about 120m/400 feet away through the trees but relatively private. Within a short pedal or drive to some of the best mountain biking and hiking Vermont has to offer, 15 minutes to Richmond and Hinesburg, and just a half hour to Burlington. Electricity on site, primitive fire pit, but no other facilities, so ALL waste must be packed out. We have a bucket commode to loan if you don’t have your own.
