We are also: 5 minutes from Stony Brook Park with its natural stone spring fed swimming pool and miles of hiking trails along the streams; 35 minutes from Letchworth Park, the Grand Canyon of the East with its amazing waterfalls. Whether it's a big event or the Arkport Summerfest, there's always something fun to do, besides just relaxing. We also offer limited stabling for outside horses so you can enjoy the trails at more than 5 different parks. Happy Trails Landing offers primitive camping and is located between Bully Hill, Klipnocky, Gas Springs and Hiltonville State Forests on 140 acres of privately owned land. This peaceful spot is accessible, yet remote. The Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) follows the edge of the property for over 1/2 mile making your stay ideal for day hikes, or as a stop for those hiking longer sections of the 450+ mile network. Wade in the headwaters of the Canisteo River which passes through, or just get lost in the beauty along its shores. Explore streams and beaver ponds, stroll on miles of mowed grassy trails that wind around fields, meadows, and woods. Watch the sun rise and set and open views make for unparalleled star gazing all night long.
The nearest 3 small towns are about 7-8 miles away where you can find groceries, gas, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The larger “city” of Hornell, (with a Walmart and more) is a 15-20 minute drive. The beautiful Stoney Brook State Park is a 22 minute drive and award winning Letchworth State Park is less than 40 minutes away. We are just slightly southwest of the renowned Finger Lakes Region, but our local wine trail begins in under a 15 minute drive. Several breweries have popped up nearby as well!
Happy Trails will strive to keep your camping experience peaceful and private by not renting to more than one party at a time in the same area unless requested for larger group experiences. Our home is located 1/4 +/- mile from most sites. We are dog lovers and well behaved dogs are welcome as long as owners notify us in advance, keep them in control and clean up after them.
When you arrive you will follow 🙂 signs to your site. There may be scant service without searching out a sweet spot.

A great spot for a quiet coffee in the morning, walk in the woods, or just a night around the campfire with friends. Our sites include fire ring and picnic table for your use. Sorry, at this time we don't offer utilities, however we do have a porta-potty onsite for campers use. Many of our campers are here to disconnect, but most of the sites offer good cell service.
Plenty of woods and fields to wander through. Days are filled with wildlife. Turkey & deer that hang out in the lawn, peepers and even the coyotes at night! We also have a handful of Eagles that can be seen pretty often too! We offer wooded and open area hiking around the property.
The property is located in the quiet hills in New York's Finger Lakes Region. Just 20 minutes from Keuka Lake and 25 to all the shopping and dining experiences that you could ever want in downtown Corning along with hundreds of NYS
breweries and wineries to enjoy during the day.
Their are several nearby rivers and lakes to canoe or kayak, hiking trails all over the region and even in our own backyard! We hope to see you soon!
Sites #1, #2 & #3 can easily accommodate any type of camper (tent, trailer, van, RV, motor home, etc.)
These sites could be booked for more than just 2 campers. Please contact me if you have a larger group.
Site #4 offers the best view! However it is close to our house so if you want more privacy we recommend staying at one of the other sites. But their is plenty of room here for a larger group.
Site #5 is secluded by itself on the far side of the field on the right hand side of our driveway. The best way to get to it is to take the road to the end of the field. You will find an vehicle accessible path next to the tree line.

Our full hook-up camp is in the middle of a small Amish community near the Finger Lakes. Amish buggies pass by occasionally especially on the Sunday where they meet at a neighbors for church fellowship. Our Amish are very friendly and will wave to let you know. There are Amish shops and baked good stands throughout the countryside that are fun to visit. A map of the shops is available to help you. Their shops are not open on Sunday however. The camp is close to the road where it is an easy in and out. We have full hookups...electric, water, and sewer (I have an extra 10 sewer hose if you need it). We are close to Stony Brook State Park, Conesus Lake, Deer Run Winery, Letchworth State Park, Livingston County Murals, Harriet Hollister Spencer State Park (overlook!), and Geneseo State College. This camp is a nice hub to explore western NYS... going North, South, East, West to see the sites or hike.

Creekside now has electric ceiling lights, hot plate, mini fridge, etc. With a king bed (or two twins) and a bunk bed set, the cabin can sleep 4, with room for extra cots if needed. The gazebo has an outlet as well. Please provide your own linens, cooking utensils, dishes, and other camping wear. Cabin can be heated with a woodstove. As of Spring 2026 our cabin is now fully insulated, with tile flooring. Warmer in in cold weather, and cooler during the summer.
Angelica NY is just a few miles up the road, where you will find cute antique shops, dollar general, post office, gas etc.
We love our little slice of private water side camping here in Angelica and hope you will take care of it like it was yours. Please no carving of names or dates in any structure, do not cut or chop down any living tree or vegetation. Our property has a lot of walnut trees- watch for falling nuts come late summer and fall! No dumping or putting anything down toilet pit except toilet paper!

Great spot to visit Letchworth. Clean outhouse, nice firepit, gravel pad to park trailer/car, etc. Be careful of the big boulders lining the drive and pull in if pulling a camper/trailer. It is next to a farm that had machinery and trucks on the road during the weekday and the site is right next to the road. Hardly any traffic on the weekend though. Perfect spot to spend some time at Letchworth as it is very close. We camped with another couple who stayed in site 2 at the same time and it was a perfect set up for a group wanting to camp together but still having your own space to retreat to. The sites are big with trees and firewood was on site. Sign at the site that says you are on camera, which was a little strange, but it didn't stop us from staying. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at sites 1 and 2 with 2 hybrid campers. What an amazing spot for visiting Letchworth! Very easy to find and nicely marked. The two sites being by each other, yet not too close. Gave privacy for adult daughter and boyfriend, yet just a short walk along a path to join for dinner, etc. It rained, and rained with high winds during our stay, so our weekend was challenged to be outdoors. The gravel parking pad was appreciated and no mudding even after a-lot of rain. The outhouse and firepit were very nice with added touches. Firewood on property (although we had stopped on our way and picked up wood that we couldn’t use anyway because of the rain!) Beware of the large boulder lining the entry and road the sites sit along. If you are towing a camper, it is tricky and you can’t go on the grass at all (per request of Emily which was understandable), but made it very difficult to park, etc. Signs at the site that say you are under 24 hour video surveillance which seemed a little creepy. We use Hipcamp and Airbnb’s a lot and have never had a sign like that. Maybe others record and we just don’t know it. The site was only a 10 min drive to Letchworth, was very private for the most part. Sites do sit next to a working farm. Farm machinery was running our first day there. Site 1 is right along the farm road with vehicles going by. Site 2 is a bit more private. We stayed Memorial Day weekend and were so happy to not be in a crowded campground. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful peice of land. We started at site 3 by the falls and was very impressed by the area. Site 2 was visible in the same clearing as site 3 but was still a great spot. The rain pushed us out on our last night but Scott went out of his was to allow us to rent his cabin on the pond so we didn't have to cut our trip short. The cabin was nice, we prefer camping outdoors but since it ended up being 45 degrees and rainy on our last night we decided to stay there. Over all 5/5 great area and will return again.

This is our second time staying at this location, and it was just as wonderful as the first. We stayed at Site 1, which feels fairly private and has incredible morning sun with absolutely amazing views. The property is also conveniently located not far from the Finger Lakes and Corning, New York. We will absolutely be staying again. Thank you for sharing your lovely property with us!

Weekend Trip to Stoney Goat Homestead
Gary’s homestead is amazing!! My partner and I stayed for the weekend and enjoyed every second. Highlights included feeding the goats, getting cozy in the covered wagon next to the wood-stove, and chatting with Gary about his land. Wow what a cool surprise this was, my girlfriend and I booked this last week for a quick getaway. Upon arrival we met with our host Gary, he gave us a tour of the property and explained his vision for the homestead, I just think it’s so cool in 2026 for a host to not care about gouging people for money, and genuinely wanting to show people it’s possible to live a self sustaining lifestyle. Gary provided all the firewood we could ask for free of charge and even started a fire for us the first night. The goats were AMAZING! Gary gave us a huge bucket of corn to go down and introduce ourselves, there had to be 40 of them including about 6 babies. It was heaven. The wagon itself was super comfortable with a small wood stove, and a nice queen bed. Gary brought us over some delicious fresh eggs from his chickens in the morning and man there was nothing like it. Well for sure be back, thank you so much Gary for all the hospitality and conversation. Ps give Sawyer a big pat on the head for us!

My boyfriend, our dog, and I very much enjoyed our stay in the covered wagon. Gary couldn’t be a nicer guy and real genuine. He helped make our stay comfortable, giving us wood for the fire, some fresh eggs for breakfast, and corn to feed the friendliest goats. His dogs are sweet and friendly too. Our dog got to make new friends. We really loved every minute of our trip. I highly recommend choosing the Stoney Goat Homestead. It was a great place to unwind and forget about the stresses of life. I can’t wait to see how the homestead progresses into Gary’s vision. It’s already a great place. I wish we could’ve stayed longer but we’ll definitely be back for sure! Thanks so much Gary!!! : )

Been to the cabin several times. Very beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful with hiking trails with views that are amazing. The owner is great he even kept cabin open for us two weeks after he usually shut down for the season. If you get a chance definitely check out this hip camp.

This is a fantastic off grid experience! Gary is so friendly and helpful that I felt right at home. The goats and pigs are friendly and my tent site was perfect with a fire pit nearby. I would recommend this experience to anyone.
