We also offer limited stabling for outside horses so you can enjoy the trails at more than 5 different parks. Happy Trails Landing offers primitive camping and is located between Bully Hill, Klipnocky, Gas Springs and Hiltonville State Forests on 140 acres of privately owned land. This peaceful spot is accessible, yet remote. The Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) follows the edge of the property for over 1/2 mile making your stay ideal for day hikes, or as a stop for those hiking longer sections of the 450+ mile network. Wade in the headwaters of the Canisteo River which passes through, or just get lost in the beauty along its shores. Explore streams and beaver ponds, stroll on miles of mowed grassy trails that wind around fields, meadows, and woods. The nearest 3 small towns are about 7-8 miles away where you can find groceries, gas, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The larger “city” of Hornell, (with a Walmart and more) is a 15-20 minute drive. The beautiful Stoney Brook State Park is a 22 minute drive and award winning Letchworth State Park is less than 40 minutes away. We are just slightly southwest of the renowned Finger Lakes Region, but our local wine trail begins in under a 15 minute drive. Several breweries have popped up nearby as well!
Happy Trails will strive to keep your camping experience peaceful and private by not renting to more than one party at a time in the same area unless requested for larger group experiences. Our home is located 1/4 +/- mile from most sites. We are dog lovers and well behaved dogs are welcome as long as owners notify us in advance, keep them in control and clean up after them.
When you arrive you will follow 🙂 signs to your site. There may be scant service without searching out a sweet spot.

A great spot for a quiet coffee in the morning, walk in the woods, or just a night around the campfire with friends. Our sites include fire ring and picnic table for your use. Sorry, at this time we don't offer utilities, however we do have a porta-potty onsite for campers use. Many of our campers are here to disconnect, but most of the sites offer good cell service.
Plenty of woods and fields to wander through. Days are filled with wildlife. Turkey & deer that hang out in the lawn, peepers and even the coyotes at night! We also have a handful of Eagles that can be seen pretty often too! We offer wooded and open area hiking around the property.
The property is located in the quiet hills in New York's Finger Lakes Region. Just 20 minutes from Keuka Lake and 25 to all the shopping and dining experiences that you could ever want in downtown Corning along with hundreds of NYS
breweries and wineries to enjoy during the day.
Their are several nearby rivers and lakes to canoe or kayak, hiking trails all over the region and even in our own backyard! We hope to see you soon!

Site #4 offers the best view! However it is close to our house so if you want more privacy we recommend staying at one of the other sites. But their is plenty of room here for a larger group.
Site #5 is secluded by itself on the far side of the field on the right hand side of our driveway. The best way to get to it is to take the road to the end of the field. You will find an vehicle accessible path next to the tree line.

Our full hook-up camp is in the middle of a small Amish community near the Finger Lakes. Amish buggies pass by occasionally especially on the Sunday where they meet at a neighbors for church fellowship. Our Amish are very friendly and will wave to let you know. There are Amish shops and baked good stands throughout the countryside that are fun to visit. A map of the shops is available to help you. Their shops are not open on Sunday however. The camp is close to the road where it is an easy in and out. We have full hookups...electric, water, and sewer (I have an extra 10 sewer hose if you need it). We are close to Stony Brook State Park, Conesus Lake, Deer Run Winery, Letchworth State Park, Livingston County Murals, Harriet Hollister Spencer State Park (overlook!), Erie Canal, and Geneseo State College. This camp is a nice hub to explore western NYS... going North, South, East, West to see the sites or hike.

Creekside now has electric ceiling lights, hot plate, mini fridge, etc. With a king bed (or two twins) and a bunk bed set, the cabin can sleep 4, with room for extra cots if needed. The gazebo has an outlet as well. Please provide your own linens, cooking utensils, dishes, and other camping wear. Cabin can be heated with a woodstove. As of Spring 2026 our cabin is now fully insulated, with tile flooring. Warmer in in cold weather, and cooler during the summer.
Angelica NY is just a few miles up the road, where you will find cute antique shops, dollar general, post office, gas etc.
We love our little slice of private water side camping here in Angelica and hope you will take care of it like it was yours. Please no carving of names or dates in any structure, do not cut or chop down any living tree or vegetation. Our property has a lot of walnut trees- watch for falling nuts come late summer and fall! No dumping or putting anything down toilet pit except toilet paper!

Emily’s place was awesome! It was quiet, beautifully maintained and scenic with a corn field growing across the gravel road. The lean-to was brilliant! So enjoyed sitting and gazing out at the farm. The outhouse was clean and so well laid out. Easy entrance to Letchworth Park. Truly a stellar base camp! Highly recommend!

Hillside is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are well maintained with plenty of space to run and play. It has SO many little "extras" to make it "homey" that my family was wishing we had booked our stay for more than just a "weekend getaway". Leah and Dustin were very easily reached, and made check in/out so easy. Everything about this site is so thoughtfully planned out, it is the perfect place to enjoy time in nature.

There are three separate sites at this location, we have stayed at site 2 multiple times and this was our first time at site 3. As with other stays everything was tidy when we arrived, the privy is kept fairly well. The sites are just a short walk from the most breathtaking waterfalls and a lovely Creek Walk that goes on for more than a mile. My kids and dog were extremely happy with our trip, even with a 7-hour rainstorm one of our days. We will definitely be back!

The site was wonderful! We especially enjoyed boating on the pond, riding around in the golf cart to explore the property, and visiting the waterfall. If we are able to visit again, we'll definitely plan to bring lots of lanterns for the cloudy/rainy times without electricity. The cabin was comfortable with a well-functioning kitchen and it was a very relaxing visit.

The stone fireplace and pavilion were fantastic. The property is quiet, peaceful, and well maintained. Enjoyed the Amish horse and buggies that passed by as well as the friendly Amish family that were walking by that I got to talk with. We absolutely LOVED the stone shanty and the sweetest host Amy!! We brought our 5 year old, 1 year old, and cat. There was a playground, a sandbox, little kiddie pools, and tons of toys and games for the kids. It was like paradise!!! It was our very first time tent camping and it couldn't have been a better experience! We grilled fresh veggies courtesy of Amy, my daughter learned how to fish in the pond, and we stargazed at night. It felt like we were surrounded by such wonderful people in the most beautiful place. We didn't want to leave and ended up staying another night! Already planning our next trip back. Thank you Amy for opening your home to us!! 💛

What a fantastic home base for exploring the area! We stayed here with 4 adults and 4 kids and had more than enough room to comfortably set up both a large tent and our pop-up camper. The layout of the site gave us plenty of space to spread out without feeling cramped. The on-site outhouse was very clean and nice to have.
Emily was an amazing host! She was very fast to answer all of our messages and made the entire booking process incredibly smooth.
The location truly couldn't be better. We fished at the Silver Lake Public Beach and explored Letchworth State Park, which was an incredibly convenient 7-minute drive from camp. If you are looking for a spacious, primitive site that keeps you close to all the best local outdoor spots, McCormick Farms Base Camp is a great choice!
