Weekend Trip to High Peak Meadows
The site was beyond amazing! So gorgeous, well equipped, and the adventure trail to get there was so fun! We’re already planning a trip back to explore the hiking trail off the site and all the other great ones nearby. Don’t plan on having phone service while there, but who cares when you’re at such a beautiful piece of land.

3 nights at High Peak Meadows
We had a wonderful trip at High Peak Meadows. We had an issue because of weather, but we pivoted and changed sites. All worked out fine. We got lucky and still had a couple clear nights where the stars were magnificent! The leaves were just changing and the property had some decent views. We set up a project and fairy lights.. it was pretty magical. ❤️ Good location and Mark was so very helpful even though he wasn't physically there.

This private peaceful oasis is such a beautiful property. We really felt like we were out in the woods- no service and coyotes howling in the distance! The stars are incredible. We accessed one hike right from camp and did a few others that were just a few minutes away. We had fun exploring Woodstock on a Saturday and burgers from Mamas Boy in Tannersville.
The tent stayed cozy at night with the stove and we really felt like we had everything we needed. We will be back!

This is such a beautiful piece of land, and a jaw-dropping view driving up! As noted a 4W drive is needed for crossing creeks, but that's part of the adventure! We had a bit of an issue with the air mattress squeakiness, but the hosts were gracious in how they handled it. They had the fire wood and a jug of water at the tent for us and were responsive in all of our questions.

We had a wonderful experience at this campsite! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and well cared for, making it the perfect place to relax and celebrate special moments. The host is incredibly attentive and thoughtful, providing clear guidance to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable stay while also respecting the land.
The campsite itself is well maintained, with great amenities that make the stay comfortable while still giving you that true outdoor experience. Our group especially appreciated the spacious setup and the chance to enjoy nature together in such a welcoming environment.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to stay here and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, organized, and enjoyable camping spot!

Accommodations and site were as described. Dominic is very friendly and helpful. It's a few miles off any main roads so it's very quiet and dark at night so the star gazing is excellent and so is the sleeping.
I would note that there is no shower available for use but he will let you use the hose! :)

A really beautiful setting with a platform tent and firepit/picnic area. We truly appreciated the trails, creek and mountains nearby. The stargazing was phenomenal. Mark was a responsive and helpful communicator, and the camp directions were clear. Highly recommend!

There are so many positives about the Scoharie Creekside site! Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog) had a wonderful weekend relaxing, exploring the creek and Roaring Kill Waterfall, and watching our dog enjoy the off leash splendor of the very large and private camp site! During our stay, Max was helpful and polite to us. We appreciated he was close by if we needed something.
I don't want to necessarily give a bad review, we had a wonderful time and it's a beautiful location/set up. However, some things that bothered us - 1) At the time of booking, we were surprised with an extra $100 in charges which, after I inquired, turned out to be $25/person/night for "extra person" fees (for anything more than 2 people). There was nothing at all in the listing stating this. After inquiry, the owner adjusted the listing, but did not refund us the charge. I simply can't imagine the extravagance of such a charge if a group of substantial size decides to reserve this site (which is set up beautifully with a ton of flat space for extra tents). With a group of 10 people you'd be paying $200 extra per night?!?! Feels like price gouging to me. 2) The cost of the fire wood is extravagant, and you have no choice but to use the owner's wood. He did allow a discount for us which we appreciated but again, $15 for a plastic tote of wood which last for a 1-2 hour fire is crazy. Ultimately, though we had a great time, we won't return because the cost is too much for what it is.

Weekend Trip to High Peak Meadows
This is the best campsite. It’s in an area of the Catskills that gets really congested with tourists and this place.. lets you enjoy all of the beauty with none of the crowds. (Kaaterskill falls, for example, is completely empty at 7am, and it’s just a few minutes away.. North Point, too). There is some water crossing you have to do to get to the campsite. We do it on foot and carry our stuff in (might be 1/4 mile?) but if you aren’t going to do that you need something that you can realistically drive across a creek with at least 12 inches of water. Also- the dragonflies. You will never see so many… It’s beautiful and kind of otherworldly.

Incredible, private, picturesque place to camp with your own meadow to yourself, not to mention all the basics covered for you and a very sweet and helpful host! We stayed in the smaller / less expensive site but are interested in coming back and renting out the larger meadow, maybe with a couple friends.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Schoharie Creekside Tent at High Meadow for a few days. We found it to be a lovely spot, peaceful and quiet, yet our hosts were nearby and responsive if we needed anything. The tent was in good condition and we were grateful for the woodstove on the chilly nights. We enjoyed the hammock located in a nice shady grove of pine trees, and We took advantage of the inner tubes our hosts supplied to float on the creek behind the campsite. Highly recommend!! 😁

2 nights at High Peak Meadows
Such a beautiful spot with so many great features. Creek access, small walk down to the waterfall through the woods and an amazing view with lots of open space. Mark was an excellent host and was super helpful with tons of suggestions/instructions about the site. My dog had a blast especially with the water access and it is close to some great hikes/views in the area. Would definitely come back again as we loved how secluded and peaceful it was.

I love that the site gives you the privacy and wilderness you might be looking for! Max is an incredible host and helps you understand the woods and everything it has to offer. You'll be remote/no service/tucked away from any roads or houses. BUT a close drive to Colgate Lake and a short walk from a secluded little waterfall, perfect for a cold plunge. 10/10, I am coming here next summer for a whole week!

We stayed at Schoharie Creek Campsite in August 2025 and our group of seven dads and their kids (8-12 years old) had a perfect camp weekend.
The location is fantastic near Tannersville and its restaurants/groceries.
The camp site is really special. Very secluded, beautiful views and the Schoharie Creek running through it is a treasure. In August the creek is pretty low but there is a nice deep area about 100 yards long right next to the camp site that is perfect for floating in a tube, exploring and enjoying the afternoon.
Being close to other attractions and hiking trails in the area made it easy to leave camp, do some hikes, get a nice lunch at the Hunter Mountain Brewery, reload on some groceries in town and return to camp.
The hosts were excellent and take great care of their beautiful property.
We loved it and look forward to our next trip.

1 night at High Peak Meadows
We would definitely come back here!! Some of our favorite aspects of this campsite was the trail to a nearby waterfall, the big field for our dogs to run around freely and the creek right next to the campsite we used to cool off (also perfect for the dogs on the hot days). It’s about 20 minutes from Woodstock also!

The property is beautiful. Mark was helpful and had everything and more ready to go for us upon arrival. The water was refreshing and the tubes to float with were much appreciated! Everything was as listed/pictured and very clean. This time of year is tick season - we did encounter ticks but came prepared, I wouldn’t let it deter you. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone, it’s worth a visit. Very toddler friendly too, just noting for others that the water at the one site was a bit of a steeper narrow path towards the water, but still very accessible! Thank you for sharing this spot with us to enjoy!

Our stay at Dom's Moon in the Pond farm was ideal. The cabin was cozy and comfortable while the screens successfully kept the bugs out. The property is bucolic with adorable cows, lambs, chickens, etc. We pre ordered the spicy sausage with fennel along with other farm fresh foods - which were delicious. It was the perfect home after a long day of swimming and hiking. Would definitely come again!

Weekend Trip to High Peak Meadows
Mark was an outstanding host who truly thought of everything a camper might need. The site feels perfectly tucked away, offering a real sense of seclusion, yet it’s just a quick 5–10 minute drive to excellent hiking trails and nearby grocery stores. The tent kept me warm and dry throughout my stay, and the firewood, thoughtfully kept dry, made it easy to enjoy a campfire any time. I felt completely safe from the moment I arrived. I can’t recommend Mark’s sites highly enough. If I’m ever back in the area, I know exactly where I’ll be camping.
