The feeling of peace is about 1 mile off the road. Pulling into Apple Cove you'll see we've cleared areas for tents and small van style RVs. There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now, New York is a 420 friendly state. Enjoy yourself but please be respectful of others

*Important note: Lake Rd is busy and there will be road noise that dies down after 11pm. There is a historic and active railroad line behind the cabin and you will hear the train pass through the day and night. Some people have found it cool or relaxing but others have not.
Nestled on its own 4-acre parcel within our family's 12-acre plot, this cozy retreat offers a private driveway and setting for your getaway.
New additions this year include a fire ring and porta-potty, adding to the complete experience of your stay. Just a mile down the road, you'll find access to Lake Erie, boasting a small beach and kayak slip. On clear nights, don't miss the opportunity to gaze at the stunning stars above.
Your host, Brian, has infused the cabin with photography and treasures from his global journeys, adding a unique touch to your stay. The hosts philosophy is to not bother you at all during your stay unless you have a specific need or concern, so your stay is all yours. Come and enjoy WNY winter sports!! We are ideally located for skiing, tubing and boarding directly between Peek N Peek (43 miles) or Holiday Valley (40 miles). There are snowmobile trail heads 5 miles from our location. Be in the country yet just 5 minutes from 4 local wineries and 10 minutes from dining/shopping. We have kept the farm house feel with plenty of room for a family. This is a single occupancy listing. Your party will be the only guests. We do have a separate living space in our barn so only parking is shared. Originally 100 acres was purchased by the Deering family back in the 1800's from the Holland Land company. Then sometime near 1900 the farm was split between two brothers, each receiving 50 acres. The home was originally built in 1903 and is currently updated and remodeled for today’s codes and standards. 47 acres of accessible woods and pasture remain for hiking and at the top of the property a breath-taking view across Lake Erie into Ontario Canada.

*Important note: Lake Rd is busy and there will be road noise that dies down after 11pm. There is a historic and active railroad line behind the cabin and you will hear the train pass through the day and night. Some people have found it cool or relaxing but others have not.

For your safety, please exercise caution when venturing into the woods and avoid approaching the active train tracks located at the back of the property.
While the passing train adds to the rustic charm of the setting, it may NOT be suitable for light sleepers. Road traffic noise tends to calm down in quiet hours.

Come and enjoy WNY winter sports!! We are ideally located for skiing, tubing and boarding directly between Peek N Peek (43 miles) or Holiday Valley (40 miles). There are snowmobile trail heads 5 miles from our location. Be in the country yet just 5 minutes from 4 local wineries and 10 minutes from dining/shopping. Weekend Trip to Angie's Country Cabins B&B
We had an amazing stay at Angie’s Country Cabins B&B, truly a hidden gem. Angie is an incredible host who goes above and beyond, with attention to every little detail that makes the experience feel special. The cabin was cozy, beautifully decorated, and the peaceful setting made it the perfect romantic getaway for some much needed rest and relaxation. The breakfast was phenomenal, honestly one of the highlights of our stay.
We only wish we had more time there and will definitely be coming back.
For food nearby, Whiskey Hill Saloon was a 5 star dinner spot with a great atmosphere and delicious food. We also stopped by Ron’s Treasure, which was such a cool experience full of amazing antiques and history, and the owner is a genuinely sweet guy.
If you don’t mind a short drive, The Nana Peruvian Kitchen is absolutely worth it, some of the best Peruvian food we have had.
Highly recommend this whole experience to anyone looking to unplug, relax, and enjoy a peaceful romantic getaway. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This time we stayed in VAN BY THE RIVER. What an experience! Nestled in the back of friendship field, tucked into a cozy corner by a babbling brook sung to sleep by songbirds and bugs!! Great for anyone wanting to dabble in van life!!

This trip was absolutely amazing. Brian is an attentive and friendly host with the utmost care for hosting people. The cabin was well-equipped and so incredibly cozy. We love the location, close enough to Tim Horton’s for us to grab coffee but on property that feels secluded and perfectly quiet and peaceful. For it being winter, we were lucky to have had the most incredible weather for February, giving us the opportunity to walk through the woods, explore and enjoy how beautiful the woods are with the snow. We will absolutely be back in other seasons, there was still so much for us to do and see in the area! Thank you, Brian for everything!

Weekend Trip to Overgrown Ridge Camp By Letchworth
My girlfriend and I went here for Valentines Day. We went to letchworth state park before hand and saw the waterfalls and walked around the available paths that weren’t closed off in the winter. The site is about 20 minutes away. The driveway was easy to find and plenty of space to park and unpack. Jalin left us a wagon to put our stuff in and walk the plowed path to the tent. The tent is very secluded and private and quite cozy inside. It’s very clean and tidy inside. The chocolate chip cookies he left were delicious. The bed was quite comfortable and we stayed warm from the wood stove and the blankets provided even though it was below frozen outside the tent. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend to anyone visiting in the letchworth area.

This was a really fun stay in a well-equipped tent. The bed was super comfortable with pillows and extra linens provided. The dresser had some cooking utensils and the hosts even provided pour over coffee and cookies! The wood stove helped keep the cold away (in the teens at night) and they even got it going before we arrived and dropped off 5 gallons of water. Having solar power and lights was really great. Probably the nicest outhouse I've ever been in. Jalin was really nice and very accommodating having plowed the snow on the trail back to the tent (about 150 yards). We snowshoed on the trails and took our dogs out in the snow. They loved and so did we!

I come here with my partner each Christmas and we listen to the ever growing record collection while we listen to the cracking wood in the Woodstock. There's a propane cook top for coffee and tea as well as frying pans and pots. The bed is so comfortable. Bring a book if you like. The host is amazing and makes sure you have anything you need as they live just down the way.

What an amazing hipcamp experience!! My partner and I, along with our two dogs absolutely loved staying in the cabin. Brian was an incredible host, so responsive and helpful with any questions we had. I have never seen a space so well thought out, it had everything we needed and a perfect space to relax and unwind after a long day of driving. Would love to stay again next time we’re in the area.

1 night at Overgrown Ridge Camp By Letchworth
Beautiful property and so convenient to not have to put up my own tent. The tent is wonderful equipped with a wood burning stove. I camped on a reeeealllly cold & windy night so it was nice to have my Mr. Buddy heater to supplement in the middle of the night when I didn’t feel like tending to the fire. I didn’t have time to explore the other paths and I’m so bummed because it looked like an amazing place to frolick! If you are a star gazer, this is your place! The hosts were so amazing and very accommodating. I appreciated the fire!

Weekend Trip to Overgrown Ridge Camp By Letchworth
The site is tucked back in hidden from everything but a field. The tent is great and the wood stove worked wonderfully once we remembered how vents work. The bed was quite comfortable but pick your side wisely if you are over 6 ft.
The outhouse seems brand new and the short trails around the property are a nice morning walk.
We were comfortably warm in the 30s, except for when I let the fire go out. Will definitely be stopping by again when it warms back up.

My partner and I loved this cute cabin , right next to Lake Erie! It’s a great size, very clean, and had all the amenities we needed for the start of our cross country trip back home , including a buddy heater for the cold night. Thank you so much for the extra blankets too! We were perfectly snug. We wish we could have spent another night. We got gluten free pizza at Villaggio Italiano, which is right down the road — it was delicious! Couldn’t recommend this spot more!
