For history buffs walk to the historical Palantine house or Old Stone Fort. The property has a house on the far end of the 7 acres but that is the only house you will see. The camper site itself is on flat level surface of packed sturdy number 2 stone. It is next to our storage barn where you will have access to an outdoor electrical outlet. If you face your camper away from the storage barn you will only see the field and woods. Our location is known for underground caves.

Todd went above and beyond at every instance that we needed him. Lovely spot, great trails in hardwood forests for dog walks. Quiet country living, beautiful pond. Couldn't ask for a better host. He even lent us his waste tote to dump black and grey tanks and even took it away with my husband to dump.

This campground is easy to park with a convenient bathroom and showers that are fairly clean. Toilets were cleaned both mornings. The last shower stall is large enough to get clothes away from shower area. The shower heads are intelligently placed facing toward the back wall and there was plenty of hot water. The washer and dryer are reasonably priced. We were there late in the season and they were doing some work with chain saws. Perhaps in preparation for the next season. Absolutely no managerial people spoke to us and the office was closed when we arrived. We just went to our reserved site.

I appreciated his local recommendations and flexibility with our arrival and departure time, as well as the firewood left at our site! The land was really beautiful and not too far from the areas we were there to explore. Absolutely delightful spot. First ridge has a fire pit—a perfect, level site in a massive field with lovely views. There is another fire pit on the back ridge which we did not see until the morning for those who was something a little more secluded. Either way, a beautiful campsite and a responsive host for a great price. Perfect for breaking up a long trip from mid Atlantic to VT. Nothing but positive reviews from us. This spot will be on our list for a revisit.

Weekend Trip to Dickensen Farm: Cabins & Camping

We had the absolute best camping experience we have ever had in our lives at Kimberly‘s Farm. I traveled there with my wife and two kids age 8 months and three years old. We had an amazing time doing nature walks and watching the farm in real time. It was an amazing experience to be able to see the alpaca and chickens in their habitats. The dogs are very much a part of this farm as well. We have a lovely time and we’re always escorted around by at least one of the dogs. By the end of the trip, we wanted to take them home with us. We will definitely coming back and cannot say enough good things about this location.
