2 nights at Santa Fe Treehouse Camp

Check-in and check-out was easy. Grounds were clean. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Being able to use a kitchen, coffee pot, and refrigerator was extremely helpful and felt borderline luxurious.

2 nights at Big Little Hideaway

We loved staying at The Rainbow Connection on Jayme & Doug’s land. The instructions were clear and helpful. Being so close to the Rio Grande was such a treat, and being at essentially the start of the Enchanted Circle Drive was also amazing. It was such a cozy spot to land each night and we enjoyed making breakfast with the windows open and the cool early morning breeze. Would definitely stay again! And will definitely recommend to friends!

We loved tent camping at Don’s land! The location was perfect for us as we planned to hike Wheeler Peak the next day. We greatly appreciated Don’s hospitality. The camp site had plenty of space for our Bernese Mountain dog to run! We were so grateful for the table and chairs at the campsite! We would have loved to spend another evening there.

The spot was perfect. Beautiful views and wonderful wide open spaces. Very quiet and serene. Hook ups were as advertised! I loved the fact that this space was not crowded… only one other person here during our stay. The host, Kelly, was amazing, gave information about hiking, biking and local restaurants. Very friendly, kind, and nice. If in the area this is the place to stay!

Don‘s place was perfect for our group. He was more than accommodating for anything that we needed and gave us lots of suggestions and history of his land. Highly recommend this location and Don.

This is a wonderful space, there are great views to be had, definitely stroll around the property for different vantage points. The space feels very private and it was amazingly quiet, especially in the evenings The homes themselves are laid how really well and do not "feel" tiny at all, the kitchen was stocked with what you need and totally functional making meal prep a breeze. In the evenings, with the windows open there was a wonderful breeze. During the hot day, the AC was more than sufficient to keep the home cool. Hot tub is an amazing place to watch the sun set and then to gaze at the stars that follow. Host was wonderful and provided us with a hike recommendation that ended up being our favorite of the trip. Should also mention the proximity to hiking, the Rio Grand and Taos made this a great location! Highly recommend!

Ciana was friendly when I checked in. Jonathan provided great advice about hiking up to Shaggy Mountain which I did and it’s a fun hike - great views. Campground had a nice bathroom with hot showers, flush toilets. If you’re coming in with a Campervan like me, some sites are level some are not and there’s no dump station. There’s well water spigot by bathroom. Great sunset views as the campground is on a ridge line. I engaged 4x4 but didn’t really need it. The town was out grading the roads so no washboard. Stayed 1 night, would do again.

Beautiful location!! Tent had 2 double beds to sleep on. The accommodations include an open air kitchen with all the amenities of your home's kitchen. All the common areas where clean. The location is near so many interesting places and hiking trails.

Stayed at tecolote treehouse. Like being a kid at camp. Hosts were lovely, place is super cool, high up with great views.

Nothing but positives, especially the community of campers that this land attracts. Always meeting interesting people in the communal spaces and often exchanging numbers to hopefully meet up again at Treehouse down the road. Brad and Ciana have cultivated a truly unique experience in Santa Fe.

1 night at Heaven or Taos 🪐

The place was as advertised with water and electricity for the tent campsite. Eddie was kind enough to bring us a long extension cord and a different hose for the water. We enjoyed our stay!

Santa Fe Treehouse camp was a wonderful spot! The hosts were very welcoming and recommended several good hikes in the area. The amenities were clean and the campground was well set up. It was the perfect spot near Santa Fe but still removed from city life.

Easy access to electricity, water, trash can, and a portable-potty. The property is much closer to the highway than I expected, so there is road noise, but that quiets down by 11pm or so. Gorgeous full view of the sky at night.

A beautiful retreat in the mountains - chose here if you want to get away from it all. Ciana is a wonderful host and the evening yoga class was the cherry on the cake. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night!

Our camping experience here was wonderful! If you are looking for a low stress environment that gives the general vibe of camping but still allows for kitchen and bathroom access, this is the place for you! There was also a beautiful trail that wasn't too long of a hike that we decided to take in the morning. Ciana was extremely kind with our check-in and check out and we felt welcome the moment we arrived. We will absolutely be coming back. 👍

Weekend Trip to Santa Fe Treehouse Camp

Really good camp accommodations! Loved the simple cabins, comfy beds, beautiful mountaintop walks, nice, hot showers, clean bathrooms, and loved the full kitchen w 2 stoves, 2 frigs, 2 of everything, outdoor dining areas, plenty of room and quiet nights. I’m definitely returning w company! Loved it… and, more things: not too far from Santa Fe, and not expensive…😍

I would recommend this camp. We liked the Treehouse Camp so much that we stayed an extra 2 nights. Ciana was super friendly. The campground is very clean. The bathrooms were excellent. There are two designated areas for cooking that have shared equipment. We camped in our own tent. However there are furnished cabins, yurts, and tents that can also be rented. Each sight has access to a fire pit which weren't being used due to local fire restrictions. The property has hiking trails, a climbing wall, and other outdoor activities. The camp is about 20 minutes from the tourist areas of Santa Fe.

This is a non-smoking, no candle facility. The camp was founded 40 years ago as a summer camp for kids. We continue to offer camps for children and their parents and grandparents (family camps), as well as welcome adults and other groups to enjoy the vast and wild high desert nature up on this ridge. Register for our nature education activities and resources available for everyone who stays on the property. These topics include sustainability, recycling, composting, water conservation, wildfire prevention, outdoor safety, and nature awareness along with the use of our hiking trails. You can also join an archery class, tomahawk throwing, climbing on the mobile climbing wall, Yoga, Qigong, Climbing Into The Heart of the Mother Tree, Star talks and more... There are beautiful views and access to Shaggy Peak, the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy various level hiking trails including a 20 minute hike to a creek and waterfall in the forest (some steep spots and creek is intermittent) or climb up Shaggy Peak (seasoned hikers only please). IMPORTANT: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road (with 5-7+% grade in a few short stretches) and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Be aware that the roads can be snowy, icy or muddy and rutted ( 4-wheel or All-trak recommended in certain times of year). We don’t guarantee the road will be plowed. We generally close for the season due to cold weather around Halloween and reopen just before Memorial Day.

Enchanted Circle Campground (E<<)

The Enchanted Circle Campground sits on the Avalon Ranch. It is 161 owned acres surrounded by a state trust lease. We are very proud to have been voted #1 Campground in NM 4 years in a row and ranked Top 5 by Forbes in the country. We have 8 Sites to choose from. (No large RVs at 4, 7 or 8) Campfires are permitted, and pets are welcome. Free potable water is available as well as a portable toilet. For cooking, you will have a fire pit, with a cast iron grill. Every site (but 7) has a standing charcoal grill, with tongs, a spatula and a grill brush. A fire extinguisher and a shovel. We hang a hand washing jug at every site for your convenience, with potable water, but do not suggest this for drinking water source. The property was originally homesteaded in 1893. It was also the first potato farm in NM. It has seven ground-fed springs that run year-round and is officially the Coyote Creeks Headwaters. The springs converge after filling 4 of our ponds in the marshland where the potatoes were grown. A family of 4 lived in the first dwelling built here, not much larger than a shed. Since that time, 2 homes, 1 of which still stands, a barn, a smokehouse, and 4 other outbuildings were constructed. There are old wagons and farm equipment from the late 1800s and early 1900's still strewn about the ranch. We are home to Huge herds of Elk, mule deer, turkeys, prairie dogs, eagles, black bears, 9 horses, chickens, pigs, goats, our 2 dogs and 4 cats, and the occasional Mountain Lion. We live here year-round. We love our land and want to share it with others. I am a Veteran and our intent is to eventually have a Veterans Retreat facility here. Not a retreat itself, but rather a location for all of the retreats, nationwide, to be able to utilize, so they can use the funds they have to do what they do best. You are helping to make that possible. We do pride ourselves on minimally impacting our land. We strive to keep it clean and as close to nature as we can. And as always, Veterans, LEOs, and Fire Fighters are always free for one night up to 4 guests. Just book your reservation, and show us your ID during your stay, and we will reimburse you for your last night with us.

The Indian ruins and artifacts fascinated him then and he is still happy to share this history with whoever shows an interest. With all the improvements made by his father and family through the years, you will also learn to have a love for the history and beauty here on this unique 30-acre treasure. You can explore Native American ruins that were inhabited by some 2,000 people between 700-1100 AD. The grounds are wonderful to walk with a little lake which draws elk, deer, hawks, blue herons, etc. Easy to access just 3 minutes off I-25. We are 5 minutes away from the Pecos Natl Monument and 15 minutes away from the Pecos River with plenty of great fishing spots ;Visit Santa Fe (20-minute drive) or Las Vegas (30-minute drive) with dozens of restaurants, museums, art galleries, etc. We look forward to your stay!
