Same Hispanic families have lived here since 1712, no joke, that is real. Rural feel for an urban / suburban setting , space space, off street parking. We are NOT an RV park nor are we a " camp ground " . We Are an Organic Garden ( Urban Permaculture ) that you can stay inside a magical, growing goodness space . This place is very, very private . The parking area is not private . Our road is dead end , very low traffic . The garden wall around the whole tent area has a 6 foot tall , very thick wall , and trees , surrounding every thing. There is a forest and pond for ducks behind the garden . Our place is for Wildlife, to be fed, and given water and safe space to raise young. We are located in an area where the birds of the world fly from the north to the south and then change direction each season. Many lizards . Many wild mammals . There are many farms in the area. With Horses , goats , chickens , ducks , mules, donkeys , other livestock . We have no pets and no livestock. At night this is dark ( we do have solar lights on walk ways ) and it is peaceful. A safe zone for travelers . Serene , gentle and lovely . You get your privacy . New Mexico is so amazing, all year . We have inside space in Fall / Winter . Welcome to Mother Bosque Garden . Started in Corrales NM in 2010 . We are in the North valley of Albuquerque New Mexico 87107. The same families have lived here for 100, 200, 300 plus years . 1000s of years . Native people have lived in this valley for close to 20,000 years more . The Rio Grande is very close by ( 2 miles west of us ) bike or by car . We are close to route 40 and route 25, just 7 mins. away . There is a Food Co-op with in a 5 mins. drive . And a regular store and gas within one mile of our place. Come eat Traditional New Mexican Foods and Heal with Very Living Traditional New Mexican Herbal Medicines . Relax, rest, find repose. Happy travels, happy hiking, happy sleeping under the stars, happy home made food, happy resting. Old Town is close by, so is the Rio Grande River and Nature Center ( 2 miles up the street ) . Nice host. The morning coffee was a welcome offer. This is a convenient spot in town. The setting is a neighborhood house with tent sites in backyard garden. Very pleasant. Use of bathroom and shower a useful bonus. Will stay again when traveling through in future.

Had a great night at Michaela’s spot. Felt very safe and comfortable on my own. She was very welcoming and friendly when I arrived and was nice enough to make me coffee in the morning before heading out. We chatted and got to know each other a bit which was lovely. Would recommend to anyone passing through. Especially solo female travels. Overall great experience. Thank you for the stay!

We stayed here with Luke twice, both coming and going through Albuquerque. We found the site to be very convenient to everything we wanted to see, and to access the freeways. Luke, as our host, was an excellent communicator, and was most accommodating, letting us know we could have late check out one day as his next guest was not coming until later. The site was level, private, and quiet. One thing to be aware of— we are somewhat small/ 40 Ft combined truck and trailer, and with another camper already occupying the rear of the camp, the turning radius was a little tight and took a little skill. This was not a deal breaker- just something to be aware of.

We were very happy to find this spot. Our just was friendly and helpful. He met us at the gate. We felt safe in the gate enclosed yard. We had power and water. Please note: With another rig already in a spot , Our 20 ft truck plus 20 ft trailer took some maneuvering. Longer rigs could have trouble.

5 nights at Elk Ridge Ranch

Excellent campsite to give you a wonderfully rural retreat in the hills, with fast and easy access to Albuquerque and all it offers. Excellent full hook up facilities, flat gravel pad, looks towards the hosts home but far enough away for privacy. And the hosts were super nice and welcoming. Huge pool / artificial lake you can swim in and beautiful Elks to wonder at. And you can purchase fresh meat from the very ranch on which they were reared. This is what “Hipcamping” is all about and we would return again, and again, and it will be our go to place if and when we are back in the area.

Beautiful views and quiet. Quirky property with a cemetery (campsite is behind it near the edge of the mesa). The road to the site is rough and definitely requires higher clearance and 4WD/AWD. We made it up slowly in our electric mid-size SUV, not without a few sketchy bumps underneath. I couldn’t imagine a sedan having great success up the road (big rocks, big dips and eroded areas, and mud in areas after a rain). Just FYI!

The Edge was such a fun and funky place to stay! It’s about 1.5 miles from town so is quiet and up on the mesa—great for sunsets. The Land of the Dead was a nice treat as well, make sure to spend time there, looking at all the graves. Kim was a very gracious host, communicable and kind. Would stay here again!
