In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows. There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites. My property is an old blueberry farm. There is a cleared area that I use for dog training at the front of the property and some trails throughout the property; but mostly it’s a quiet place to sleep in a small/medium sized self-contained RV without slide-outs to the side (your RV or van must contain a toilet which must be emptied off-site. Further note: I DO NOT allow tents). Also, if your RV has low clearance, there is a slope from the road to the driveway, thus the bottom of your RV may scrape the ground (neither of my vans have a problem with this: I have a Ford E350 and a Ram Promaster). If on the site in July, you can pick a pint or two of blueberries (IF they are available) for your own use. The berries are chemical free. My neighbor to the right also has a pick-your-own farm with tended blueberry fields (you are not allowed to pick my neighbor’s crop unless he is there so you can pay him) My site is in the NJ Pine Barrens which is renowned for its unspoiled nature, abundant, and diverse wildlife. It is also within the Pinelands National Reserve and within the area designated by the United Nations as an International Biosphere Reserve. Nearby is the Batona Trail, the Franklin Parker preserve, canoeing on Chatsworth Lake or the Wading River, bicycling through the Pine Barrens and and the cranberry bogs on the bicycle lanes on Routes 532 and 563, the quaint village of Chatsworth also known as the Capital of the Pines, Hot Diggidy Dog a food stand within the village of Chatsworth, and Brendan Byrne State Forest which includes the historic cranberry farming village of Whitesbog where the cultivated blueberry was developed by Elizabeth White and Dr. Frederick Coville. The Whitesbog Preservation Trust which manages the village has an extensive year round calendar of events and a month-long blueberry festival during weekends in July.

Kathleen was so welcoming and as our first Hipcamp booking, years ago, we were happy to be back ! She greeted us upon arrival and acknowledging our return visit, provided us with a homemade wooden “plaque” kit to leave our name, address, and personal message so it could be displayed on the site. We will absolutely be back!

My group loved tent camping on Kathleen’s land! The area we could use was very big and extremely well maintained. The directions were clear and Kathleen was around and eager to answer any and all questions. There are other sites nearby as well. We loved this site and will be back!

I know when a site is down a long, dirt road that it's going to be good and this site did not disappoint. Site 4 had great space and nice privacy. Location was wonderful and it was a beautiful drive. Quiet and peaceful.

1 night at Oak Grove Acres

This is the 5th or 6th time I've stayed here - that likely says it all - I like this hipcamp very much - it's private (the owner says hi, but then leaves you on your own), he provides wood for campfire, there is a water spigot, a picnic table. The site I reserve has these things, and I believe another site has electric as well, but I haven't needed that one. It's peaceful, scenic, private - and the owner is communicative, their home is in sight, but not close enough to change the nice privacy. All these things make a great hipcamp. I travel twice a year to and from Maine and Georgia, with 2 dogs, and stay there every time. Highly recommend.

We stayed at campsite #1 and had a wonderful time. Loredana was so kind and super helpful in setting up firewood & eggs for our arrival. Beautiful view from our site. Nice balance of being tucked away in nature with access to some comforts.

site 2 is right next to the common ground and stays shaded most of the morning
