Family owned property obtained through the barter system. You shingle my barn and I'll give you that property. My Pappy's land. 11 acres. Recently cleared for its timber. With some landscaping it became clear that beautiful campsites were forming. My father is 78 years old. The last thing he ever thought he would be doing with his retirement is jumping back on his excavator. Can't keep a good man down. Now here we are. Father and daughter. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season.
2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a toilet.
Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any.
2024 was another great season. New faces that I hope to see again. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience.

2025 had some complications unfortunately. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to invite anyone to my property. Consider yourself invited for the 2026 season. I look forward to hosting new and repeat campers. There is a free weekend offer for those who would like to camp and work to prepare for Memorial Day weekend. WELCOME ALL!!

Our tent and yurt sites are located on 5 acres of private woods and are 4 acres apart to allow for maximum privacy for our guests!
Parking for both sites are shared. The tent is 50 yards up a rustic wooded path through the woods and the yurt is an 800 yard (10 minute) uphill walk from the parking area.
Both sites are adjacent to our local network of hiking/biking trails that connect to the summit of Mount Agassiz, which offers stunning views of Franconia Notch. Additionally, within a half hour drive, you have access to some of the best hiking in the North East. We are happy to provide recommendations! The surrounding towns are home to three different breweries, numerous restaurants serving up delicious food and quaint main streets.
Through the generous permission of surrounding landowners and the stewardship of the Bethlehem Trails Association, guests can access this trail network to enjoy the views from the summit of Mount Agassiz for top notch single-track mountain biking.
We live one town over and are just a phone call away. If you walk the trails, you may encounter a friendly neighbor's dog but all our guests enjoy the privacy and solitude the mountain provides.

How lovely, private, safe, calm, clean, beautiful place! The host is SUPER responsive, anything you need they will reply w the best attitude. The instructions are very clear. One of the most beautiful things was founding a little bed where my dog can sleep that was the cherry on top. Very close to town. We love the place and the town unfortunately was a very short trip but we planning in go back for more days.

Weekend Trip to Island View At Kiwanis Beach
We had an incredible time at Kiwanis beach! Our private site was the perfect spot for our mini baby moon! Sarah was so kind and accommodating and helped us out when I forgot some important and necessary items. We were already planning our next visit before the weekend ended! Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for some private, dog friendly lake access camping! Looking forward to our next visit as a family of 3 (+ four legs!)

We had a great time at the camp, the view was amazing as it was just steps from the lake. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises along with the sounds of the Loons helped make this a great spot. There is hardly any light pollution at night which make the stars so brilliant, we were amazed at how many shooting stars we saw during our stay. Sarah greeted us shortly after we arrived to check in to see if we needed anything, she was super friendly. We met some other people who worked there and they were very friendly too. I highly recommend this place to camp especially if you have a dog because it's dog friendly! We will definitely be returning.

This is our second year camping on Sarah’s land. Last year we stayed in lake view and this last time we stayed on Island view, which is larger and more set back but we loved both.
Honestly, we plan this little end of the year stay as a time to unwind at the end of the Summer and that is exactly what we did! I curled up on an Adirondack chair and read a good book. My husband took out the canoe and did some fishing and my niece swam right from our site. This is the easiest, most worry free camping trip ever and Sarah is so thoughtful. We hope we can stay again next year!

I had read the reviews before coming and it’s seemed great. But when I arrived it was even better than expected. I was the only camper for the majority of the week and the only sounds I heard in the night were loons. There was everything I needed right there, the bed was comfortable and the tent was roomy. Porta potty was clean and right on the other side of the road. The water was warm and clean and hardly any traffic on the water. Sarah was super welcoming and informative. She checked in here and there to see if I needed anything. When I woke up to a dead car battery she was there in five minutes to help jump my car. I have camped all over Maine and this by far my favorite spot. Can’t beat the location and there is a store in walking distance. Pizza and coffee is a short drive. 5 stars in my opinion I’ll be back next year!
