We are located NW of Kearney in a rural setting. There are neighbors around us but not too close. Being this close to a town, there are many activities and places to go. A few miles to the West of us is Cottonmill Park which has a good sized lake and hiking trails. Within an hours drive there are fishing/boating and recreational lakes. The great Sandhills of Nebraska are just a little over an hour North to get to. Pioneer Village is South about an hour and the Hastings museum is about the same distance only a little East and South.

Throughout the year, we host special events through the Living Environment Foundation. Our largest gatherings include the Ancestral Skills Festival in August and the Seed Fest in autumn. This is a century farm, and the barn you’ll see on the property is over 100 years old and still in great condition. These are also the ancestral lands of the Lakota tribe. It was easy to pull-in and park our trailer. The site provided power & water and we had 3-4 “bars” of 5G using T-Mobile. Using the directions provided, we had no problem finding the location. The host was very responsive. We plan to return, next time we’re in the area!

Rustic Tent sites (allowing cars, vans, rooftop tents, truck campers, and motorcycles, but not RVs or pull-behind trailers) are located directly on the prairie. The prairie is a fragile environment. To preserve its beauty and health, trailers and RVs must book the RV sites. We appreciate your cooperation. RV sites 50 amp electricity and a rustic experience on crushed concrete near our corral. You'll have foot access just steps from the prairie. You can turn around easily in the gravel drive. And you'll camp right near our cattle where you're welcome to take picture, scratch their heads, or give them a snack. Tours available too, just ask, we are happy to show you around! This site is well lit and located near our home. We appreciate guests and welcome you to visit with us, we have children and they love to play with other kids. There is plenty of room for pets to roam and do their business. This site is private but as a working farm you may see or hear us doing our daily routine of feeding the cows or moving equipment. We are mindful of your privacy and would never do anything to disturb our guests or ruin their stay unintentionally. You will also have access to the entirety of our 110 acre farm to explore and enjoy nature and animals. We have a firepit and firewood available for you to enjoy a little outdoor relaxation around the fire. If you need anything else not listed we aim to please, just let us know. DO NOT DRIVE THRU CAMPGROUND My ONE and ONLY Hipcamp site is locate right at the entrance of this small property. All campers must be 35 feet or less in length and given the small size of the campground it's easiest if you arrive before dark. The entrance is on a curve so make sure you enter from the left hand side of the road and don't be afraid to roll thru a little grass to make sure you have plenty of room. Make a hard hairpin turn to the right and your campsite is straight ahead and like everything here, a pull-thru site. (Please see HIPCAMP main photo) This is a long-term campground but I keep this one spot up front for our traveling friends to enjoy as you move across the country as options can be limited. Enjoy your stay and if you're ever unsure about anything just give me a ring. Please make sure to arrive before dark. Small campground and quiet community with minimal lighting can make for a challenging and sometimes disorienting arrival if not careful.

Born and raised on a farm near Pauline, Nebraska, I found myself drawn back to my roots, eager to steward the land in a productive and regenerative manner. In 2020, after two years of dreaming, I embarked on the journey of Aunt Annie's Flower Farm. My motivation to create this haven of blossoms was deeply personal. Having faced the challenges of infertility and the associated grief, I resolved to "create my own sunshine" by cultivating a sanctuary of beauty and life. Aunt Annie's Flower Farm serves as a place of solace and joy for my beloved nieces and nephews, and I extend the warmest invitation for you to share in this natural splendor. My mission extends beyond personal fulfillment. I aspire to inspire my students, demonstrating that with dedication, ambition, and hard work, they too can transform their dreams into reality. This property is 110 acres all together. We have cattle that do visit the pastures but can be excluded if need be. Nice rolling hills with Oak Savannas in the low areas. Lots of great native wildlife and plants that bloom from early spring through late summer. In the Fall the leaves are amazing. There is a rough outhouse at the primitive campsite. No electricity but there is water and trash bins located at the farmstead. We do want our guests to be comfortable but this is definitely a rough camping site. You may also want to grab a beef package from us for your stay or to take along with you. Many items available for sale right at the farm. The property, purchased in 2016 from hoarders, has been gradually improved by the owners, who are proud of their progress. The front area includes their home, garden (guests can take produce), and a shop for their turf business. Chickens roam freely near the host house, so pets should be monitored. Our property has a small seasonal creek with walking path through a forested area and meadow. Cottonwood Creek Camp has one RV site and one tent site. This can be a peaceful place to stay for a quick stop off or even during Husker game-day weekends. We are 6 minutes from Southpoint mall which offers a shuttle to Memorial Stadium. Super Target, Aldi's and many other stores are only 5 minutes away. Disc golf and mini golf courses are 2 miles away. There is also access to the Lincoln bike trails via our residential streets. Laundry is available on site for an extra fee. Easy access off Highway 2 at the 68th/70th Street Exit, continue via Saltillo Rd. and then north on 56th St.

A few miles to the West of us is Cottonmill Park which has a good sized lake and hiking trails. Within an hours drive there are fishing/boating and recreational lakes. The great Sandhills of Nebraska are just a little over an hour North to get to. Pioneer Village is South about an hour and the Hastings museum is about the same distance only a little East and South.

We invite you to enjoy our organic vegetable seed farm with its trees, nearby water, and abundant wildlife. You’ll see pelicans, turtles, herons, and other creatures, plus a few non-poisonous bullsnakes that help keep the mice at bay. From our property, you’ll have the opportunity to experience nature on a working farm. Scotts Bluff National Monument is visible from the land and just a 15-minute drive away, along with the extensive Legacy of the Plains Museum. And nothing compares to a Nebraska sunrise or sunset, with skies exploding in unforgettable colors. We are experienced farmers, and Nathan is a master naturalist who can lead hikes at nearby sites, including the Wildcat Hills. We also offer our farm products—grass-fed hamburger, garlic, and vegetable seeds—available for sale year-round. Seasonal vegetables and eggs may also be available. Throughout the year, we host special events through the Living Environment Foundation. Our largest gatherings include the Ancestral Skills Festival in August and the Seed Fest in autumn. This is a century farm, and the barn you’ll see on the property is over 100 years old and still in great condition. These are also the ancestral lands of the Lakota tribe. We are grateful for their stewardship and aim to honor their tradition of caring for the land through our certified organic and biodynamic farming practices.
