Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
At the heart of the largest intact prairie grassland on the planet in the Nebraska Sandhills, Seven Pines Ranch hosts self-contained RV and tent camping along the Middle Loup River near Seneca. Great for kayaking (Two-Hour Kayak Adventures available), tubing, summer wading, fishing and abundant wildlife, the night skies are phenomenal. The area is designated as an international dark sky reserve. The camp amenities include water, firewood and an authentic outhouse on site. There’s plenty of open space for your pets to run. We only book one at a time, so you have the whole campsite to yourself.

River Retreat
We LOVED this place! Our dogs being able to play is huge. Plenty of space to spread out and close to 2 towns. Bob is an excellent host. We really enjoyed how friendly everyone is. Best place we ever camped!!!!!

Perfect -and- Private camping spot
Perfect -and- Private camping spot on the river. Our family spent 3 nights at the ranch and we have no complaints! 1. Bob only allows 1 family on the property at a time if you rent the tent space or pop-up = Exactly what we wanted 2. The pop-up is great, no issues and it comes with Power + Gas 3. The outhouse is the nicest, cleanest outhouse ever 4. Kids spent 8hrs a day in the river on the dock and bridge which is about 75ft from the pop-up 5. Bob and his wife were WONDERFUL people, they checked in on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed and even brought us a bag of ice and homemade banana nut bread 6. Exotic Animal Park is literally a 5 minute walk from the pop-up! Stable Productions animal park was amazing, a 2 hour tour for fifty dollars We will absolutely return next year!

River Retreat
Beautiful site, lots of trains
This camp is in the middle of beautiful, isolated, rolling hills cattle country. It's a gorgeous place to truly get away from city life. The reason we have mixed feelings is because of the site's proximity to very busy train tracks. The proximity of the train tracks made us nervous about having dogs off leash and also made it hard to sleep with the train horn blaring 4x each time one passes through. Although we didn't get in the river, we enjoyed watching the sunset on the river. Our host Bob couldn't have been more welcoming... he showed us around when we arrived and he even brought us cookies baked by his wife Connie!

River Retreat
My husband and I were passing through the area, so only needed a place to camp for one night. We were so happy to have found Bob's place! He was not present when we arrived, but the instructions to the campsite were clear and we were setup by the time he greeted us. Bob is a very friendly and thoughtful host. We appreciated learning about his cattle and the area from him. We also loved the peace of the area, with the exception of the trains, though that did not bother us. (The trains did not run late at night). We would happily stay at Bob's campsite again!
