Mission Mountain Field of Dreams - A captivating view of the stunning Mission Mountains on two acres of fenced, flat, mowed pasture, less than .2 miles off Highway 93. No long, dusty gravel roads to travel to access this convenient campsite! We are just 91 miles south of Glacier National Park, making this a perfect over night spot to rest and regroup for whatever adventures lie ahead. You will experience some traffic noise due to the close proximity to the highway, however, later evening and early morning hours are fairly quiet. This open spacious area offers free choice parking with unobstructed views of the mountains. Shade is unavailable, though evenings in Montana cool down quite nicely. Post Creek, located just down the hill to the east, is home to a variety of wild life such as, White-tailed deer, EIK, Coyotes, Grizzly Bears, Bald Eagles, Hawks, Canadian Geese, Pheasants and Blue Heron to name a few! This 13 acre private property is situated on the Flathead Indian Reservation of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. The area surrounding Post Creek is Tribal Conservation land and serves as a corridor for wildlife crossing over to the Ninepipes Wildlife Refuge (3 miles north and west of the camp site). Tribal permits are required for fishing and recreating on the reservation. We are approximately 48 miles north of Missoula and 70 miles south of Kalispell. This would serve as a nice base camp if you wish to explore the numerous attractions nearby. The Saint Ignatius Mission, National Bison range, McDonald Lake, Ninepipes Wildlife Refuge, and Flathead Lake (21 miles north) are all within a short drive from the camp site. There are numerous little towns nearby that offer their own unique shops, restaurants craft breweries, music, entertainment, golf, and museums. Museums of early Montana is just 3 miles north right next to the Ninepipe Lodge, restaurant, bar, espresso and gift shop. Address and directions will be supplied upon booking the website. There are great views of Glacier Park on the property and a wetland across the highway. Easy 5 minute drive to Kalispell and some near by destinations are: Glacier Park, Flathead Lake, Big Mountain Whitefish Resort, etc. Across the highway you will find the Rails to Trails bike path for walking or biking. This property has been in the family for 35 years. It is a friendly and safe community area. We have chickens that may roam during the day and some times of the year we have pigs in a pen on the property you can visit. Our dog Chester is a big golden retriever who loves everyone, but will notify us when you drive up. He is in a GPS fence, so he will not bug you. Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them.

We loved our experience at Mechelle’s land, hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Spot was clean, brand new hook ups on beautiful Artesian well water that was so refreshing. Plus we got to meet the hosts new puppy and that was a bonus.

1 night at Mission Mountain Field Of Dreams

I had a nice experience camping here. I briefly met the son that lives there, and got good vibes from him and his family. Lots of space to yourself, and a great view of some mountains. It also right off of the road, so it was easy to hop back on track in the morning. They also offered free water, which was great quality.
