After a long day hiking Glacier National Park or watching live music under the Montana sky, you come back to Camp Whispering Pines and stand under a real, hot, open-air shower with nothing but big sky above you. It's the one amenity most dry campsites can't offer — and it's why our guests keep coming back. We're located in Kalispell, MT on 20 open acres in the heart of the Flathead Valley. This is your base camp for everything Northwest Montana has to offer: — Glacier National Park: 60 min to the West Entrance — Under the Big Sky Festival (Whitefish): 20 min — Rebecca Farms: 5 min — Flathead Lake: 15 min — Foy's Lake: 10 min — Downtown Kalispell: 5 min Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and access to potable water. Clean porta-jon facilities on site. Pets welcome. Horse campers welcome — open arena access available (no corrals). We have RV/tent sites (up to 25 ft vehicles) and dispersed large RV sites (up to 45 ft). Dry camping only — no electrical or water hookup, but you have access to plenty of potable water. We enjoyed camping here as it was quiet and exactly what we needed. The outdoor shower is a nice touch and worked perfectly well. Directions were clear.

Very Accomodating, lots of room to park our trailer, shower was awesome! Nice and hot, super awesome views from the sites. We were in town for Under The Big Sky, and would definitely come back for years to come!

We camped in our van during the Under the Big Sky festival and the site was perfect for the few days we stayed! It was well-kept, quiet, and had beautiful views. The site is secluded enough to feel like you’re truly camping in the middle of Montana but still close to civilization so you feel safe. The outdoor shower is to die for and we still talk about how much we miss it. Thanks for having us!

This was a great campsite!! Charles was wonderful and responsive. The outhouse was very clean, as well as the shower. The shower was so awesome, hot water with good water pressure, hools to hang your stuff and a shower curtain to close inside the shower to keep them dry. I had a nighttime shower and got to look up at the stars. The only issue we had was that because theres no trees or shade, the mornings in the tent before we woke up got very hot.

Charles was absolutely amazing to organize our stay with - he was clear and fast with all of his responses, and accommodating. After we checked in, Charles checked that we had everything we needed and ensured that if we needed anything to reach out. The campsites itself were amazing! They were large with enough room to spread out all of your things. The sites were spaced out well from the neighbouring sites. Showers and bathrooms were clean and well contained - bonus points for the shower having hot water.

Charles’ and his place were perfect! Incredible showers and good sized pens for my horse. I recommend this place to anyone traveling with a horse!

High marks for this camping site. I booked for 1 night and the place was so great that I stayed for 2 nights. Had a hilltop site #5 , although all were on the top mostly. Great shower and clean port-o-let. We enjoyed the 4 side mountain views. Met Charles briefly. Just great all- round. Stay here !

Amazing spot! Had all the accommodations we needed, and the corral for our horse was perfect. The shower was 10/10 and the proximity to several activities was awesome!! Highly recommend this spot :)

We had a great time at Whispering Pines! It is a close drive to the lake, amenities and other attractions in the area. Charles has really great space for you and your guests. Plus the outdoor shower is very neat and the bathrooms were clean! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

What a wonderful and spacious campsite! Charles and his sister were amazing hosts right from the start. We were greeted warmly and given a detailed description of the area and surrounding locales to check out. We were even given freshly baked chocolate chip cookies! (which we’re delicious, btw) We felt right at home and it was just what my group and I needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Open shower with Montana sky it was cool. In a cold September morning that thing was hot and awesome. Great big area for a trailer. Having a single or two man tent not flat enough to get a level sleep. Need a level platform with sand would be a great addition. Being out away from the city is unreal. Waking up to see the stars in the middle of the night could not be better anywhere else.

Charles was a fantastic host, and the campsite was perfect. Shower was easy to use and ran hot. Perfect place to stay around Kalispell, especially if staging for a trip into Glacier. Charles gave great recommendations in town, was very responsive, and super hospitable. Highly recommend!
