The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

Come enjoy peace and quiet in the beautiful meadows near our home. We are located on 40 acres that include forested trails, a large pond, two small ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife as well as spectacular stargazing at night. All sites have a campfire ring and picnic table. We provide a unique eco-camping experience in contrast to the crowded campground/RV park, and we are only 6 miles away from the entrance to Glacier National Park! Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles as some sites may be a better choice for you than others. No hookups are provided – dry camping only. Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, The Paul Bunyan Bar & grill, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Closest dump and water fill up for a vehicle with a holding tank is Mikes Conoco at 1645 9th st W in Columbia Falls (8.9 mi away). Closest town with wifi, cafes, restaurants, urgent care and larger grocery stores is Columbia Falls (9 miles away). We sell solar shower bags, sun screen, card games, cream soda, frisbees, bug spray, coffee, firewood, and more at Sam and Molly's mercantile by our house in the middle of our property. There are two wall tent listings, and the kitchen and bathroom facilities are communal. I also live on property with my two dogs. Daisy is a pit mix and Frodo is a Pyrenees/Anatolian mix livestock guardian dog. They are friendly and like to hang out in my fenced backyard. Frodo does bark at night to ward off bears and other unwanted visitors. There is also a train nearby that runs all hours of the night. If you're looking for lodging in Coram, you're going to hear the train. For these reasons, earplugs are provided. In addition to hosting Hipcampers, I'm a host on Workaway, and so there may be workstay volunteers on property as well during your stay. If so they also use the bathroom facilities but they share my outdoor kitchen with me. I'm in the process of developing the property into a permaculture homestead, expanding my garden, and doing more natural building projects. If you share these interests be sure to let me know!

Quiet and off the beaten path, this camper will provide you with a true Montanan experience on the edge of the Flathead National Forest. Come enjoy our permaculture paradise bursting with life! *Please read everything before reserving* Camper can accommodate 5 guests (4 comfortably) with a queen bed, a bunk bed and a dinette that turns into a bed. Black out blinds keeps the space cozy and a privacy curtain divides the bunk beds from the queen bed. Kitchenette is equipped with all the essentials - coffee pot, fridge, pots and pans. There is a stove and microwave, however the camper does NOT have an oven. There is a toilet and shower with bathtub stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We welcome families and have everything to accommodate kiddos - toys, eating ware, high chair, pack n play, and a hiking backpack. Kayaks are also provided, but guests must have their own means of transporting them. Under the awning is an outdoor eating area with a fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows after a long day of hiking. Wood is provided. Relax in a hammock and enjoy the mountain air!

We spent 3 nights in the yurt here. It rained quite a bit and the temperatures got pretty chilly, but the yurt had an electric heater, that kept us more than comfortable. 2 adults, 2 children under 10 and our dog. We had plenty of room outside to cook and hang out. The yurt was thoughtfully arranged to feel plenty spacious and comfortable for the 5 of us. You cannot beat the location of this hipcamp. We spent 3 days in the park, but it is conviently close to Kalispell and Whitefish as well. We will definitely stay again.

I am very grateful to my past self for unintentionally arranging my travel plans such that I was able to spend a leisurely afternoon & evening plus a nice slow morning enjoying all that The Mooseshroom has to offer. Terri was an incredible host, and my little dog and I felt so welcome and relaxed. It was truly a rejuvenating stay and a must-visit in the Glacier area.

We loved our stay in the tube site! It was perfect for us, since we flew in and didn’t want to travel with much camping gear. Plus it’s bear proof! The on-site mercantile had everything you might need, including coffee, bear spray, solar showers, and firewood. Jake was super accommodating and even heated up water for our forest shower a couple of times. The location was also perfect for accessing the park, and we enjoyed free coffee (with our own cup) each morning. We recommend Josephine’s for dinner just down the road.

Terri’s Yurt and hospitality made for a perfect base camp on our trip to Glacier National Park! The yurt and common areas were clean, comfortable, and well-kept. For two adults with a pretty significant amount of hiking gear, we felt like we had plenty of space. The quick drive to the west entrance of the park was a huge plus! Highly recommended!

Great accommodations if you're visiting Glacier as it's less than 10 minutes away. The front desk and grounds staff were very friendly, the yurt was clean and comfortable (#3), and it was really great having 24/7 access to the lounge and laundry. We'd definitely stay here again!

Terri and the Mooseshroom yurt were awesome. The yurt had everything from coffee to bear spray. The yurt had a porta-potty as well as a communal bathroom + shower room for the whole camp. Everything was clean and the host was very accommodating. All that plus being 20 min from the park entrance was so amazing!

Beautiful views. I’d even call them extraordinary. The catch is it’s only it’s best if you find a good day where there’s not an overwhelming amount of visitors and then therefore no parking nearly anywhere.

Grizzly country for sure
We saw a grizzly cross the road the very first night there. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go up Going to the Sun road as there was too much snow, and the road was closed. We didn't know there would be snow in June. lol So, just watch what time of year you go if you want to go through that road, which I highly recommend.

Good Campground that’s kinda in the middle of everything. It is farther away from the stores but that’s how we like it. Avalanche Lake was beautiful and full of Trout. It was a fun trip!

We camped on Blackfeet native land at a dispersed campsite called homegun primitive camping. It was fantastic views camping near cows and secluded. Porter potty and fire ring but no other amenities.

I would choose the West entrance
If you are driving an RV, which is limited because of being an oversized vehicle, entering from the east entrance is a little disappointing because you can only go a small way into the park before you have to turn around. I felt like the west side entrance was more enjoyable

Words cannot describe the views. Have found that while NP's say they are dog friendly - they really aren't - can't have them anywhere but in the parking lots... so made my trip a "drive through" only adventure. Views worth it though!
