Are you looking for an adventure and opportunities to explore the wilderness and Lake Koocanusa? Come experience camping off grid in the true beautiful nature and wildlife of Montana. We have an off grid ranch on 161 acres bordered by the Kootenai National Forest and Lake Koocanusa just down the dirt road. It's very wooded but does have a few open meadows. Our land is very private surrounded by beautiful mountains, forestry, wildlife and streams/creeks. The lake has a great beach front for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc. There's a boat launch 3 miles away for bigger boats or pontoons. Our property also provides direct access to hundreds of miles of trails for hiking, horse trail riding, biking, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling.
Trail riding is available to experienced riders only. We do not have docile horses that walk a worn in trail. You must show confidence and control over a large animal that may spook at a moments notice. Trail rides are only conducted by appointment weeks in advance when the property owners are present.The owners are endurance riders and are often away competing. If you are not experienced you can still interact with the horses by feeding, petting, grooming, learning horsemanship skills, riding in a controlled round pen or arena. No matter what you do you will be happy with your horse experience. Oh, don't forget the Nigerian Dwarf goats. They love people too.

If you are looking for quietude, this is your spot! Twenty acres situated minutes from lakes, rivers and US Forest Service land. Partly forested and partly pasture land, we boast Aspen, Fir, Spruce and Pine trees. Wildlife that commonly pass through include coyote, elk, deer and badger. On 2 acres within walking distance of downtown Kalispell and a short drive to Glacier National Park, we offer comfortable tipis that can sleep from 2-4 people.
The tipis are equipped with a queen-sized air mattress and bedding, a power box and lighting and a table and chair. You have access to picnic tables, a fire pit and a good selection of yard games like croquet and corn-hole to name a few.
The acreage is surrounded on three sides by Ashley Creek and boasts a unique covered bridge and awe-inspiring grandmother Willow trees.
Beautiful downtown Kalispell is an easy 10-minute walk. There you'll find local breweries with live music, a local ice cream shop, a variety of restaurants and shops.
Parking is not right next to the tipis, but we have a wagon to help get your things from your vehicle to your tipi.
Under the bridge is where you'll find our games, including croquet, badminton, Frisbee and Frisbee games, Bocce ball and Wiffle golf balls and clubs. We also have extra bedding and air mattresses in a secure chest.
Remember that you'll be camping in a field. We've done our level best to keep the tipis clean and clear of pests, but it is a natural environment, so there is a non-zero chance that you'll run across some dirt, grass, thistles, or a multi-legged friend. You might even get an unwanted gift from a bird. If any of that needs to be gone, you can access a broom and leaf blower on the bridge, or you can find one of us on the property and we'll take care of it for you. Thank you for your understanding!

We are located down a dead-end road, approximately 18 miles from downtown Sandpoint, with all it has to offer, yummy restaurants, Cedar Street Public Market, music, Bonner County Fair and don't miss City Beach, maybe even take a lake tour. We are 12 miles from The Idaho Club and just 22 miles from Schweitzer and some of the most breathtaking views around. There is always something to do and see on the mountain. Trestle Creek Park on the shore of Lake Pend Oreille, is only a 16-mile drive through some of the most picturesque areas of the NW. After a fun filled day exploring North Idaho come and relax at The Lost Fainting Goat Ranch, an amusing name for a place we call home. There is a separate private driveway, and you will have the whole camp area to yourselves, yet we aren't far away should a need arise. You may occasionally hear us (4 busy kids, 3 cats, 2 friendly dogs, 1 noisy rooster and 18 happy hens yet still no fainting goats) but we want you to feel like you are in your own private sanctuary. We are offering a furnished bell tent in a secluded area of our private property in the beautiful mountains of Sandpoint Idaho. Our camp area is along a quiet creek that is visited by deer, wild turkey, squirls and even the occasional moose. There are also those less desirable critters that live in nature like insects, we do try and mitigate those troublemakers. This area of our property is off grid with a wonderful shower house built from wood milled from our own land, complete with hot water and a compost toilet. We provide Starlink WiFi and a way to charge cell phones thanks to our solar charged batteries. There is a fire pit, comfy chairs, a beautiful picnic table, again, made from wood from our own land, and a screened in area with cooking supplies. Our family enjoys hosting guests and we e meeting new people. We hope you love it here as much as we do. Along the driveway where the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness can best be seen across our grassy pond, the view has always captivated us, so we dropped a tiny cabin here. It’s a magical rustic blend of off-grid simplicity and curated luxury.
We built the Cabin with the intention of doing things differently and because we believe we’ve succeeded in this concept, finding the words to define it has been a challenge. It’s somewhere between guest lodge and summer camp.
When you come here, you have to expect that you’ll also be doing things differently. Like preparing your food over the outdoor fire or the outdoor cook stove, and heating water to wash the enamel plates in a basin after your meal. And in learning how to use the composting toilet (don’t worry, it’s in a room of its own off the front porch!). Instead of a shower, you’ll have a forest sauna and a dip in the creek. The single room has handcrafted custom everything from the queen sized bed to the built in counter. Outfitted with a blend of vintage treasures and thoughtfully sourced high quality pieces like the tiny wood stove with a glowing glass front and the organic linens inviting you in.
This is a space for you to soak in nature and connect over the campfire, or across the board game by the light of candles. When the sky is clear you’ll be able to stargaze from bed and when you wake you’ll be greeted by ducks on the pond and a ceramic mug waiting for it’s French pressed coffee. Slip on your boots and your coziest sweater for a walk down the driveway. Reconnect to the simplicity that is possible in this life.

Our 2 cabins and one campsite are located in a small clearing surrounded by a forest of tall trees, next to Good Creek and expansive meadows on a 350 acre property which you are free to explore.
Located roughly halfway between Kalispell and Eureka, we’re an hour’s drive from Glacier Park. There are many lakes and trails off the beaten path that are closer. Ten Lakes Scenic Area is 60 miles to the north.
Good Creek Meadows is off grid and cell service is spotty - a great place to relax and enjoy nature. No shower, but a toilet (water flushing compost system) and camp kitchen are available for two cabins and one campsite to share. The sites are generously spaced and feel private. Each cabin has a hammock, deck, and cafe table and chairs. There is also a shared picnic table and campfire ring to use when conditions are safe.

Just show up and enjoy.

We had the yurt for 4 nights, very nice back yard, the yurt was awesome, you are close to a main road, so there is traffic noise, but it’s a great central location to hit Glacier and to check out whitefish, when in whitefish get the nachos and only the nachos from the craggy range, it’s literally a mountain of nachos and cheese and tons of toppings, probably the best we have ever had anywhere in the US, and we get a lot of nachos

I very much enjoyed this site. It was nice to come back from a full day in Glacier and have a comfy place set up for you. The yurt was very comfortable to stay in and had a cute little electric fireplace. As a matter of fact, if you like a soft bed, it was the most comfortable bed I've slept in in ages. The cot is less comfy, but an extra camping pad makes a difference.
Pro: The host was responsive. Port-a-pottys were clean, in general. (see the con)
Con: No potable water on site (pack it in) and you can hear the highway (not too busy). The port-a-potty was not full but it must have sat there awhile due to being off season. Should be good during normal touristy season. :)

We spent 3 nights in the yurt here. It rained quite a bit and the temperatures got pretty chilly, but the yurt had an electric heater, that kept us more than comfortable. 2 adults, 2 children under 10 and our dog. We had plenty of room outside to cook and hang out. The yurt was thoughtfully arranged to feel plenty spacious and comfortable for the 5 of us. You cannot beat the location of this hipcamp. We spent 3 days in the park, but it is conviently close to Kalispell and Whitefish as well. We will definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Willow Bridge, Kalispell, Montana
This was the perfect little place to crash after a late plane ride into glacier! The tent was spacious and neat, and even though it was chilly at night we stayed perfectly comfortable with the bedding provided. The area was beautiful and Sara was an excellent host, making sure we had everything we needed. I also agree with the other guests-this was the most immaculate porta potty I’ve ever used.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chris and Michal’s campsite! They have loaded it with everything you could need, plus a ton of extras, to make for the best camping experience. The location was perfect and just what we were looking for- close enough to town and the lake, but far enough to see the starts at night and listen to nature. 10/10 experience and I hope we can visit again!

Very clean, labor of love, very chill, charming, nice people, clean toilet, family friendly, proactively checking in on the state of the camp with tarps and contingency plans for rain, etc, help yourself to an abundance of items including games and bikes from the covered bridge including a fridge, nice area under the giant willows with firepit, picnic tables and hammock chair, good proximity to downtown Kalispell

Weekend Trip to Willow Bridge, Kalispell, Montana
This is a wonderful little hip camp right on the far edge of town. we came into this very unique little property just in time to see the rodeo which worked out perfectly. First time in a tipi was pretty neat (loved the fresh sheets and poofy pillows and cute little night lights)and these guys have done an amazing job making sure every detail is fresh and clean. The covered bridge to get over to the tipi and fire pit area was the coolest thing ever. Didn't get a chance to have a campfire (wood provided!!) or swing in the sky chair but enjoyable no doubt! This is a great location if you are headed into the park for a day or two and still have access to cute little Kalispell! Sarah & Frank-- great job!! we look forward to popping in again and sending happy campers your way!

This site was just so awesome and beautiful. we loved exploring and finding cute frogs in the creek. Hosts were amazing and provide an awesome atmosphere and supplies for convenience of not having to pack all the camping gear. Thank you Chris and Michal.

We loved our stay at Willow Bridge! We came in late from Bozeman and it was so nice to have the lit bridge and everything already set up. Sarah was also highly communicative and even answerred a text at midnight. The property is beautiful and well located. We definitely will be coming back!

We spent just one night at Alexander Creek on our way to Houston, but it was a lovely, peaceful night! The location is super convenient to hwy 36 and close to amenities in Hamilton. Wendy was very helpful and communicative! The facilities are super clean and charming, with a great common area w/ac and a full kitchen for common use-even a keurig and coffee pods! Bathrooms and showers were clean with lots of hot water. We’ll definitely plan to stay here again next time we pass this way!
