We have two private sites, a primitive campsite directly on the Lake of the Ozarks, and a RV spot with full hook-ups (water, 50 amp AC, and sewer). The two sites are separated from each other, but both have access to the lake, including kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, excellent fishing, a boat-ramp, floating dock and a one-mile perimeter nature/hiking trail.
*** NOTE *** From January until early May, the lake level is dropped about five (5) feet, so boating and fishing access range from difficult to impossible (though, arrowhead hunting is a fun activity you might enjoy during the low water months!).
Primative Campsite - A private 1.5 acre campsite with a firepit (and plenty of wood to burn in it) and direct access to the Lake of the Ozarks. We went with the intention to stay two nights. We enjoyed the atmosphere and all the friendly people and ended up staying an extra night. We enjoyed karaoke Kelly and the pool. It was very nice and clean the entire time. The campground was well kept, and in a nice quiet location. We do have plans on going back again in the future.

We had a great stay at 38 Special. The resort is very well maintained, quiet, and has beautiful views of the lake. The sites are nicely set up with plenty of room to relax outside, and the overall property has a more upscale feel than a typical RV campground. The location was also great for exploring the Lake of the Ozarks while still having a peaceful place to come back to. We would definitely stay here again.

Most sites are right on the water with others just feet away so the view is always good. We really enjoyed the swim beach and dock and the pool is great. Everyone there is super nice as well. We loved our 3 night stay at 38 Special! The grounds were pristine! The facilities featured 6 clean, individual shower/bathrooms with laundry machines in the building as well. The outdoor grilling area was spot on and was right next to the gorgeous infinity pool that overlooked the lake. Swim beach was soft sand and had a great platform to jump off of. You could also rent boat slips at a very reasonable price! Sarah was an excellent host and we will be back again!

My husband and I came to stay for 3 nights over the 4th of July weekend. We had such a wonderful trip! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Sarah has put so much thought into every detail. Our favorite spots were the pool overlooking the lake and the Adirondack chairs at each site. The covered BBQ area with tables and chairs was another thoughtful touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. The resort is peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly welcoming.
