All You Need is a 111 acre paradise that is home to some VERY unique and endangered habitat. Our northern boundary is a tract of DeSoto National Forest, where we have practically exclusive access to another 90 acres of longleaf pine savannah and more bottomland creeks.
The sandhills are a "desert in the rain," home to prickly pear cactus and yuccas, abundant lichens (deer "moss"), the endangered black pine snake, and our mascot, the also endangered Gopher Tortoise.
We're a nature education and retreat center where we share permaculture practices, homesteading/sustainable living skills, conservation practices, and approaches to connecting more deeply to the land. Check out our sister non-profit, the Burrow Nature Center.
You will have access to our many walking paths and our swimming pond, as well as a 15 minute walk to part of DeSoto National Forest, which butts up to our property line.
We would love to have you as our guest on the land, and are especially eager to meet travelers who deeply love nature and want to live in better relationship to it!

We offer shady campsites and fishing in two private lakes stocked with bass and bluegill. Lakes are for campers only! Campers can pick blueberries when they are in season (June-July)--limit 2 pints per site per day. Wildlife is abundant. You will hear owls and coyotes at night. Often bald eagles can be spotted at both lakes. Other wildlife you may see: deer, wild turkey, raccoons, opossums, fox, bobcat, coyote, rabbits, armadillo, otter, and squirrels. Please do not approach the wild animals! There is a pretty creek for those who like to creek walk. Petrified wood can be picked up in the creek bed. We are only 30 minutes from the University of Mississippi campus for people coming for ballgame weekends. We are only about 20 minutes from Grenada and Enid Reservoirs. These have some of the finest crappie fishing in the United States. We are located 2 miles east of the Trans America Trail.

The hospitality was amazing! Soon as we pulled in , we were met and showed where we would be camping. The views were incredible. Guys, you want to give your little woman the “Notebook”feeling, take her to the big lake, row out on one of the boats and wait for the sunset. Trust the process lol. Definitely bring a fishing pole. Monster bass. Did not have a chance to explore the walking trails, but we are definitely going to be back. This is definitely a couples getaway spot or for the whole family. I really think God puts people, places, and opportunities in the appropriate timing. Very thankful for the experience. This was a get away trip that started in Arkansas with a very bad experience and ended the trip here, where one day made the whole week worth it. I cannot say enough about what amazing people that own this place are and I enjoyed our conversations in meeting someone I’ll never forget. Definitely make this a stop on your trip or make this place the whole trip. Promise you won’t want to leave.

The site is always well kept, the hosts are fantastic and the grounds are beautiful. For selfish reasons I’d like Twin Lakes to be a secret campsite. But, for the hosts’ sake I want them to succeed. This is truly a hidden gem, and I'm so grateful we stumbled upon it. We reserved a Glamping tent and were shocked how much space it had inside, with comfortable beds and linens. There was an event going on during our stay and everyone we met was kind and welcoming. Despite there being many other campers, the campsite itself was so incredibly private. Just what we needed to recharge and we will be returning!

Wonderful Hipcamp. Beautiful area. The farm and amenities are very well maintained. It was very peaceful and quiet. There are comfortable relaxing areas to sit and enjoy the lake and the views all around. The common shared area is screened and the bathroom was roomy. The bathroom’s hot water was pretty instant and the water pressure in the shower was great. The host and the miniature donkeys are very welcoming! I highly recommend this Hipcamp.

Weekend Trip to All You Need Institute
Stayed solo in the Pond Cabin over a weekend in late August, chasing some quiet, and found exactly that. The property backs up to DeSoto National Forest, and the Lichen Loop Trail alone is worth the trip — 1.1 miles of sandy trail that opens into a stretch of forest floor carpeted in lichen. It's quite beautiful.
The cabin itself is simple and cozy, all natural wood, with a little porch that faces a big live oak and the resident chicken coop — the roosters double as a very reliable (if early) alarm clock. The window AC unit kept the room a comfortable 68 degrees once running, which mattered in the late-August heat. My one tip: if you want it cool for arrival, it's worth asking the hosts to switch it on ahead of time.
The composting toilet was a first for me and honestly no trouble at all — better than expected. The kitchen has the essentials (stove, fridge, microwave, cookware), but the towel and cutlery situation is slim — bring your own rather than count on what's there.
The hosts were warm and easygoing, respected that I was there for solitude, and the wider community had a relaxed, welcoming feel even from a distance. The roads in are rugged, so come with a vehicle that can handle some rough patches, or just take it slow.
I came for stillness and left with it. Already thinking about my next visit — highly recommend for anyone looking to unplug and reconnect with some genuinely special land. Thank you, Jordan and team!

Mississippi’s Gulf Coast
Some of the state’s most divine camping is found along the Gulf Coast. Gulf Islands National Seashore protects over 135,000 acres of the mainland and barrier islands in Mississippi and Florida. Hike amid the sand dunes, hit the waters in a boat or kayak, go deep-sea fishing, or explore wonders under the waters. Further inland, Clark Creek Nature Area is a fascinating landscape, with 700 acres of bluffs and pines. The National Park Service’s Davis Bayou Campground can accommodate tent and RV camping within the National Seashore. Private RV parks and glamping rentals can be found in beachside towns like Ocean Springs and Biloxi. Or, venture along the coast to find Gulfport and Bay St. Louis and more.
Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail
One way to explore the state is with a drive along the NPS’s Natchez Trace Parkway. Crossing three states, the bulk of the parkway runs diagonally across Mississippi along a 444-mile route paralleling the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail. It offers a trek through time, following pathways formed by Native Americans, early European settlers, and more. The National Park Serve offers three first-come-first-served primitive campgrounds along the Natchez Trace. Campsites are free and can accommodate both tents and RVs. Plan a longer stop in Natchez, which has several private RV parks and glamping options, including Natchez State Park. This town overlooks the Mississippi River and offers a lot of character.
Northern Mississippi
Northern Mississippi is home to the state’s mountains. They may not be as high as other peaks, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t scenic. This small section of the Appalachians is home to Tishomingo State Park, an unexpected land of ferns, waterfalls, and craggy bluffs. A wooded campground offers RV sites and primitive tent camping. Two grand lakes provide recreation and scenery. Sardis Lake is a popular camping area to the west, and Bay Springs Lake is a favorite in the east. The Army Corps of Engineers operates several waterfront campgrounds.
