Site 4
Our site was absolutely perfect and the owner was incredibly helpful and kind. This was me and my husbands first time camping ever and I would do it again here in a heartbeat. The creek was refreshing and clear and the animals in the pasture were so fun to watch and was one of the highlights of the trip for me. There were dogs visiting throughout the day and this one black dog came to our site at night and slept there the entire night! So adorable. The best place to camp if you are an animal lover!
Would 10000% recommend and we definitely will be back!

Great for nature/camping/rockhounds
Nature/camping enthusiasts here! We absolutely enjoyed our stay at David & Edie’s and are looking forward to returning. Based on other Hipcamp reviews, we booked our spot at site #3 and were not disappointed (although I would not have been disappointed at ANY of the sites). Site 3 is up hill from the creek which makes it a little less buggy than if camping down near the creek. There are lots of shady spots to setup a tent and canopy at site 3. As many others have commented, we too enjoyed our night guard dog Luna who slept behind our tent at night during our stay. In the morning, she would get up and mosey on her happy way. Directly across the site, is the fenced pasture with a little wooded oasis where the cows, donkeys and horses prefer to be in the early morning hours. We loved waking up to seeing all the animals enjoying the cool early morning. As it is Mississippi, and the summer heat is typically BLAZING, we spent most of our days in the creek, floating on tubes, sipping cold drinks from our cooler we brought down with us and looking for rocks and petrified wood. Rockhounds – you will enjoy this spot. We found agates, sandstone, petrified wood, hag stones, fossils, and other rocks that we just thought were cool! David spent some time talking to us about what we could expect to find in the creek and shared his knowledge with us regarding some of the local plants. He was welcoming, informative, and friendly. Also, highly recommend purchasing wood ahead of time from David.

Camp Topisaw Creekside Sandbar
We love staying at Topisaw. Very considerate hosts who are always great with communication. The sandbar is our kids’ favorite spot to camp, and we look forward to our trip there every year.
