RV camping in Mississippi guide

Whether you're hopping between Mississippi Delta towns along the Highway of the Blues (Hwy 61), diving into southern history along the Natchez Trace Parkway, or visiting one of the south's most important Civil War sites at Vicksburg National Military Park―campers can take their pick of road trips in the Magnolia State. When the sticky summer heat sets in, head south for the Mississippi Gulf Coast to cool off in the water park at Buccaneer State Park, or check into a beachside RV resort with full hookups, wifi, and a swimming pool at Gulfport, Ocean Springs, or Biloxi. Further north, there are back-in RV sites by the lake at Paul B. Johnson State Park near Hattiesburg, wooded campsites at Roosevelt State Park with views of the Bienville National Forest (Pro tip: time your visit to admire the fall foliage), and lakeside RV camping at Tombigbee State Park.
