You may utilize the little spaces we currently have available for camping, or get in touch with your primal nature, explore our woods and cut down your own trail and campsite. Welcome to Mike's Place RV Park, a unique family-run campground that offers a clean and welcoming atmosphere for travelers seeking both adventure and relaxation. Conveniently located just off HWY 49, we are nestled near Camp Shelby and the stunning De Soto National Forest, making us an ideal base for exploring the great outdoors.
Our park features excellent fishing opportunities at Geiger Lake and Paul B. Johnson State Park, both located less than two miles away. Whether you're stopping by for a night or planning an extended family getaway, our campground is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature.
We provide 30/50 amp sewer and water hookup sites tailored for RV enthusiasts. Guests can also take advantage of our laundry facilities and trash services for added convenience. With a variety of outdoor activities available, including boating, fishing, hiking, tubing, kayaking, and canoeing, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

We loved our 1 night stay at Hometown Host! The directions they provided were clear and easy to follow. Tony and Tracy are super friendly and welcoming. They even invited us to watch the Sugar Bowl with them.
Their property is beautifully kept and very quiet at night. Hooking up was a breeze. Their 3 little pups are adorable and sweet natured. We enjoyed a very easy and relaxing stay.
We highly recommend this Hipcamp! Book it -- you won't be disappointed!

Second time staying here…and more wonderful than the first time! Tony had the Saturday football games on the outside gathering area, the dogs got some exercise, and we took in the amazing view🙌 Would recommend highly!!!

Tony’s place is amazing! The countryside is so well kept, beautiful, and super quiet. Full hookups are available. They also have a really pretty covered outdoor seating area with plants all around, very cozy and romantic.

It was a nice place. Easy to pull in. No one travels down the road. It's very peaceful. Easy to drive in and get settled. Grocery store not too far away.
Very nice watching the sunset over the pasture in front and there was a cute black cat that traveled along the side of the road... just making sure everyone was ok. The sound of the birds chirping this morning in the trees while we were drinking coffee was spectacular.

Our time on Tony’s property was amazing. They are the best hosts ever. Super kind and helpful. The countryside property itself is well cared for and super quiet. Full hook up is available . Covered outdoor eating was appreciated as we had rain 2 days. Location is fairly close to Laurel as well. Great experience for us!

Enjoyed my time here greatly. Stayed 4 days, the property is very well maintained, peaceful and relaxing. Great pond with great fishing. Clyde is an exceptional host as well. Enjoyed the small chats and offer of amenities as well for the extended stay. Highly recommend.

We loved the hospitality and the space that this location afforded us. Tony and Tracy went above and beyond as hosts and we even enjoyed a delicious meal they prepared on our first night. Our dogs got along great with their girl Winnie and having so much run around room was just what they needed after travelling. The distance to Laurel is not bad, and if that is the reason for your stay, just be aware that the town is shut down on Sundays on Mondays.

Our site on Tony’s property was to die for. He assisted us backing our trailer up. Our hosts, Tony and Tracy, have great amenities to use on their property from a fire pit to an outdoor table and chairs. The full hookups were outstanding. Tony and Tracy were extremely friendly and cordial to us. We felt like we were members of the family! A super fantastic visit!!! We exchanged addresses and phone numbers so we could keep in touch. If all Hip Camp hosts are like Tony, we will definitely use the site again!

We arrived at night and thw host was very helpful on getting us to our parking spot.
Very nice site. We had access to a covered porch. He let our friends come and have a evening with us sitting around the campfire.
We stayed 3 night. If we are ever in the area again we will forsure come for a stay.
His property is beautiful too.
