Topisaw Creek forms the eastern border of our property, so plan to spend time on the sandy beaches and rock bars soaking up the sun or hunting for rocks and fossils (petrified wood and arrowheads have been found here). Many folks also enjoy a leisurely float down the creek in inner tubes ('tubing') or in a kayak. (Please note that after heavy rains the creek rises to epic heights and is too dangerous to navigate.) I had the most incredible experience here on Austin and Wanda’s Christmas tree farm! I stayed on Christmas and they were so kind as to share leftover Christmas food with me. Thank goodness bc everything was closed. Their dog Moscato got along with my dog perfectly and tired him out playing after a long drive. They offered to put him up before I got there but I was happy to have the dogs play. They went far above and beyond my expectations and the site was nice and private. There was an outlet to charge my phone and a spot for a fire and wood although I didn’t build a fire. 10/10 would recommend. I’m glad I chose this spot. They were such a sweet, kind, and generous couple.

Overall, the experience was delightful. I was able to pull my little camper right next to the pond and enjoy the serene view over the landscape. I enjoyed fishing in the pond and caught multiple nice size bass and a catfish, and relaxing. My son enjoyed riding his bike on the path around the pond, playing on the playset, and feeding the alpacas. Had a great time, the host was excellent, and would definitely visit again.

Fiancee and I went to get away for the Holidays to avoid the Family hassles with the pup for four days.
David was communicative and friendly prior to our trip, asking if we needed some extra firewood (25$ cash) and made sure we got set up okay once we got there. He checked in over text daily.
The area was very nice, we went searching for trash to pick up prior to getting set up and found very little. The grill and wood were a huge help as I had a bit of trouble getting the campfire set up in the cold and rain.
The ad says David has 4 dogs that might say hello, I will say they definitely said hello and stayed for quite awhile. One of them for a night and two days without leaving camp, so if your tied up or leashed dog is not ready to be around other dogs, highly recommend you look for another place, thankfully mine was okay with the two that visited frequently.
Little close to the road for my liking as you can hear trucks with loud bass coming up and down through the night, but the serenity of the water from the creek flowing through made up for that.
Stores are a short drive to get any last minute supplies, which is great since we had to grab some extra ice last minute.

My camp site was very quiet. It was a great site to rest and recoup for a week so I can continue the rest of my journey. Alicia and CJ were very helpful and checked in on me. One purk is they now have a flush toilet which was advertised as compose toilet. 😁

We spent the weekend tent camping at Home Place Pastures. It was a great site, with great people, and even some great food at the farm store on site! We found a lot of eating options in the town of Como, also. It is also located within driving distance of Memphis. Will definitely have a return trip here

We had a magnificent stay! We booked at the very last second because our previous reservation fell through suddenly - and it was a blessing in disguise!
This property is so big and full of adventures and projects to look at. Special shout-out to the fishing pond!! My friends and I barely know anything about fishing and we discovered a lifelong hobby!!!
The hosts were also incredibly kind & patient & generous with their time/care. From the moment we arrived it felt warm & comfortable.
Also the farm dogs are so so so so lovable. We actually miss them - Mo will play fetch for hours and bring you cool trinkets ❤️

Ms. Erica even helped us out with some extra sleeping bags when the night time temps dropped lower than expected.
