All You Need is a 111 acre paradise that is home to some VERY unique and endangered habitat. Our northern boundary is a tract of DeSoto National Forest, where we have practically exclusive access to another 90 acres of longleaf pine savannah and more bottomland creeks.
The sandhills are a "desert in the rain," home to prickly pear cactus and yuccas, abundant lichens (deer "moss"), the endangered black pine snake, and our mascot, the also endangered Gopher Tortoise.
We're a nature education and retreat center where we share permaculture practices, homesteading/sustainable living skills, conservation practices, and approaches to connecting more deeply to the land. Check out our sister non-profit, the Burrow Nature Center.
You will have access to our many walking paths and our swimming pond, as well as a 15 minute walk to part of DeSoto National Forest, which butts up to our property line.
We would love to have you as our guest on the land, and are especially eager to meet travelers who deeply love nature and want to live in better relationship to it!

Camp Strong Wood derives its name from the many natural growth oak trees found on the property as well as being in the Strong Hope community. Wildlife abounds with deer, rabbit, squirrel, fox, racoon, opossum, armadillo, chipmunk among other forest dwellers. The lake is in a natural flood bottom and is stocked with largemouth bass, perch, channel catfish and natural flathead catfish which came in through the creek which runs through the land.

We take great pride in that we use nontoxic cleaners during cleaning, and all linens are cleaned after each stay. Great place for people with sensitivities to cleaners and perfumes. We have a grocery store, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Post Office, gas stations, and several places to eat within 6 miles of the cottages in our small town of Collinsville, MS.
The space
Our cottages, named Kudzu and Willow, were built in 2021-2022 and are approximately 336 square feet. Enjoy sitting outside during the day, soaking up the beautiful sounds of nature and the starry skies at night. Our property is gated for safety, super private, and quiet!
Guest access
We have two cottages sitting close to each other; this is the area you have access to. We have a larger building on the property as well, and you will see people coming and going using the common driveway. Park close to your specific cottage and avoid blocking the common space in between the two cottages.

Our stay was pretty much what we were looking for - secluded, quiet, and comfortable. The best part was the staff. They were beyond just friendly and professional, but were also very accommodating. They gave us a side-by-side tour of the property, let us borrow a phone charger, and even offered us fishing poles and bait to use in the two beautiful ponds. If you are looking for something secluded and quiet where you can just relax and enjoy nature, we strongly recommend.

This was such an interesting, educational glamping experience! We LOVED the trails with the QR codes to educational videos. The AC works great and was much needed yesterday. The space was exactly what we needed for a night! Also, they have the friendliest chickens I’ve ever encountered. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

Weekend Trip to All You Need Institute
We had a wonderful experience! We booked the Yurt and the micro cabin for a family trip and both spaces were beautiful and comfortable. At one point the water stopped working and the hosts worked continuously to get it fixed and it was resolved within the day. Great trails. Very kid-friendly as well.

The land is absolutely beautiful, pond was refreshing and peaceful. I stayed in the micro cabin which was great. I would recommend that you do bring all of your own cooking supplies as there wasn't everything there that was needed and the outside space is not covered so when it was raining I didn't have access to the little kitchen.

Amazing experience from the start to the finish. The host were very quick to answer any questions before we even arrived. We had a group of 10, and the cabins slept all of us comfortably and the A/C worked amazing. Any help/questions we needed, were swiftly handled/answered by the host couple. They were amazing. Having close access to the kitchen was definitely a plus, since our group had so much food. Firewood was readily available. Our group’s favorite party was the lake. You can tell the owners of this camp have really put time into making this a fun and comfortable place to relax. We will definitely be back, and there is talk with our friend group to make this an annual trip. Also enjoyed how dog friendly everything was. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Camp Strong Wood
Chris was terrific from the moment we arrived. The cabin was adequate for our needs and the outdoor kitchen on the porch was perfect. The land and the lake are beautiful. Fresh from the lake fish fried for dinner! A great getaway and we will be back.

1 night at Camp Strong Wood
I feel my words will prove inadequate to capture the essence of what Camp Strong Wood has to offer anyone who is fortunate enough to follow their sense of wonder into this beautiful land. If you are trying to have a human experience by going back to basics, without sacrificing civility and genuine hospitality - this is the place that needs to top your list.
The staff (Chris and Zoey) are wonderful and caring people who made us Floridians feel welcome from the moment we arrived late at night when they came out to greet us with a smile! The atmosphere of community, communication with the land and its creatures and features, and tangible love of what the do was so refreshing - people who are so grateful and blessed to call their stewardship of this acreage their livelihood.
Everything is sanitary and well-constructed with care. I loved my stay and will be back in the near future.
This place is well worth your time and money, highly recommend.

The micro cabin was super cozy. The land was gorgeous. They are doing a wonderful job caring for the land and it shows. The lichen loop and all the trails were so nice to stroll. We loved sitting by the clear pond as well. The outdoor kitchen attached to the micro cabin was very useful and appreciated.

The micro cabin was terrific! The outdoor kitchen had everything I needed, the bed was comfy, the air conditioner saved me on a very muggy night, and the property was truly wonderful to experience. Really special place, and highly recommended!
