Paradise on Lake Texoma (formerly Paradise Cove) is a beautiful, secluded commercial campground located in the "Big Mineral Arm'' of Lake Texoma. Built in the 80's by the Corps of Engineers, Paradise has been a mainstay of the lake for many years. Recently, the current management team are working to grow Paradise into something special. With a huge focus on community and culture, Paradise has tons of space for people to come together and enjoy the company and also areas to wander off and find a quiet lakeside spot to relax. You'll also be able to catch one of the best breathtaking sunsets on the lake! The wildlife we have on the property is amazing! I have deer that sleep in my front yard, opossums, 600 bird species, and my favorite… the armadillos! We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding. The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.  In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family. We’re always a text away! You’ll see us out and about on our golf carts. If you ever need anything just holler (: Check-in time is at 3 pm. Our staff works really hard to make sure everything is perfect for your stay and we can’t guarantee it will be if you arrive before then. Parking, we work really hard to keep our property beautiful. Be sure to park in parking areas only.

In the early 1900’s an iconic red barn was built near the hilltop along the road between the old Mt. Zion community and Collinsville. Later in the 1900’s, the land was mostly abandoned by its owners, but not by the local fishermen! They knew its woodland fishing pond never dried up, and so was able to support a better population of fish. They also dumped a cornucopia of old motorcycles, cars and farm equipment in the front field. What else were you supposed to do with scrap metal in North Texas horse country? In 2002 the Holtzman family purchased the 35 acre tract of land. They dug a front pond for swimming and paddling, buried the scrap metal (although occasional bits of history still work their way up!), restored and brought horses back to the barn, and began consulting with local biologists about supporting native wildlife. April Holtzman launched Camp Tonkawa Outdoor Learning Center on the property to provide a beautiful, safe place for families to explore and learn about nature. Camp Tonkawa continues to host overnight and day camps with educational programing organized around various themes including: Native American culture, nature awareness, basic camping skills, primitive survival, organic gardening, herbology, outdoor cooking, western days, and horsemanship. We also host field trips and frequently conduct Girl Scout journeys for all levels in the "It's Your Planet, Love it!" series. Due to Covid-19, which limited working with groups for our educational programing, we joined Hip Camp where families who could isolate in nature together on our property.

My location is about 8 miles due west of the little town of Caney, Oklahoma. I’m very rural, no close neighbors, 19 acres of pasture and woods. Plenty of places to park, one area is back in the woods a bit with water and 50 amp service, others strictly boondocking. There’s not much “close” to me but I’m kind of centrally located between Atoka, Texoma and McGee lakes. Boggy depot state park and Fort Washita is close by and south of me is the Choctaw Casino. It’s very quiet and no nighttime lights so there’s an awesome night sky. Please check out the map I've included in my photos for precise directions. The last 2.5 miles to get to my house is by gravel road and my entrance may be a bit difficult to spot but my name and address is on the big black mailbox. Just turn in and cross the cattle guard and go through the driveway into the open field. Parking is on the north side of the drive along the tree line or back in the woods. Don’t hesitate to contact me directly for directions. If you follow my guidance, you should have no problem finding me or turning into my drive. Pets are welcome but I suggest they remain on a leash if you’re around my house or other campers and please clean up after them. The open field around my house is not always mowed because my neighbor cuts the hay and I like the spring wildflowers. I try to keep a walking path around my place but I travel too so at times it may not be well maintained. Since I do travel a lot, I may not be home when you arrive. Please make yourself at home and leave the place as you found it. Thank you!

Paul Getty, the factory switched from making airplanes to making trailers shortly after World War II, using the same aluminum and manufacturing process used for the airplanes -- making these some of the finest trailers ever produced. On our property we also have a 1957 Spartan Mansion, a 1955 Spartan Mansion, a 1953 Spartanette, a 1960 Airstream, a 1969 Airstream, a 1963 Avion, and a 1965 Streamline -- all unrestored and in various stages of disrepair. Loved our night on Glenns land. We arrived later than expected but finding the spot was easy. Plenty of flat ground. Gorgeous views. Felt perfectly safe and private. At night there was a chorus of frogs by the water which was wonderful to fall asleep to. In the morning there was a nice heard of turkeys roaming which was so cool to see. Id definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back. Glenn came by to check on us in the morning too. Super kind!

Loved getting a break from the city. The trails are nice to walk and maybe bring the dogs. Though I was a bit surprised to see so many people there. We were on the dispersed site, west of creek, and there were about 5 other rigs setup there. Only wished we could have explored more of the property or even the winery.

We had an amazing time during a wintery getaway during an ice/snow storm this past weekend. We had the entire cabin area to ourselves (yes I was told 100x by friends we were crazy to go to Texoma for a snow storm) and our Kabana 9 could not have been cuter. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Staff did a fantastic job making sure we had extra blankets to stay warm and jugs of water. The hosts even came by to see how we were doing on Day 2. Loved this spot! The view was amazing, right by the water. The cabin was cozy and the restrooms very nice, loved that there were individual restrooms/shower. The provided fire pit, sink, and grill at each site made it easy to cook campfire meals. Will definitely be back!

We tent camped for the Thanksgiving weekend and it was lovely! The wheelbarrow available for use was clutch for the walk-in site. Even though it was mostly flat, it saved us the hassle of carrying things down and back. They sell wood and are easily available for questions or if you need to place an order via text. The bathrooms were clean, had TP, and the water was hot! They are the main bathrooms for the whole property and are right next to our car park, so pretty convenient. Recommend a luggable loo otherwise. We were the only campers so had our pick of site. For this time of year, only appeared that half of the sites wouldve been useable. Some were muddy from deer and recent rains, plenty of room to spread out, though. There was unfortunately some glass spread around (user's fault, not properties) so be careful with pets or in warmer months, being barefoot. The beach was really clean and you can tell they do regular cleanups. Appreciated the extra social areas and walking the property was a great hike. It was super peaceful on the calm nights and cozy on the windy ones. Very much recommend this site and would return!

I loved the dispersed tent camping area, a perfect place for my dog to run around and I could see how it’d be easy for a large group! And the flexibility of being able to go to the tasting room up the hill to grab a wine bottle or two cannot be overstated. Very nice, would recommend.

June 5th, 2019 This is a hidden gem. the hiking trails are amazing and you would not believe it was in Mississippi if you do not see for yourself. they have cabins and lodges ( i did not stay in those), tent camping areas and RV sites. I stayed on the RV sites and they have water and electricity. The only negatives I could say : they need to maintain the RV pads better as most have a severe drop off of the concrete pad that could twist an ankle if you are not careful, and cut some low hanging limbs at the sites to prevent hitting with your RV. Thant being said I will be returning as soon as I can.
