All You Need is a 111 acre paradise that is home to some VERY unique and endangered habitat. Our northern boundary is a tract of DeSoto National Forest, where we have practically exclusive access to another 90 acres of longleaf pine savannah and more bottomland creeks.
The sandhills are a "desert in the rain," home to prickly pear cactus and yuccas, abundant lichens (deer "moss"), the endangered black pine snake, and our mascot, the also endangered Gopher Tortoise.
We're a nature education and retreat center where we share permaculture practices, homesteading/sustainable living skills, conservation practices, and approaches to connecting more deeply to the land. Check out our sister non-profit, the Burrow Nature Center.
You will have access to our many walking paths and our swimming pond, as well as a 15 minute walk to part of DeSoto National Forest, which butts up to our property line.
We would love to have you as our guest on the land, and are especially eager to meet travelers who deeply love nature and want to live in better relationship to it!

95 acres on the beautiful Topisaw Creek. Here we've raised 5 kids and a multitude of dogs, cats and chickens and a small herd of pineywoods cattle. The woods are quiet and undisturbed , harboring native species like jack in the pulpit, trillium and Florida anise. The spring-fed (and thus always refreshing!) Topisaw Creek forms the eastern border of our property, so plan to spend time on the sandy beaches and rock bars soaking up the sun or hunting for rocks and fossils (petrified wood and arrowheads have been found here). Many folks also enjoy a leisurely float down the creek in inner tubes ('tubing') or in a kayak. (Please note that after heavy rains the creek rises to epic heights and is too dangerous to navigate.) Little to no light pollution makes for amazing stargazing!

Since 2012, we have been offering great cabin rentals, RV and tents sites on the creek. We offer three different cabins to help you recharge, unwind, and relax at beautiful Red Creek in Perkinston, MS.
There’s plenty of water within walking distance of the cabin to toss a fishing line, take a swim, or launch your boat/kayak. Relax on the sandbar, cool off in the creek, enjoy a blazing fire by the fire pit, the worries and stresses of daily life simply disappear. You wanted to get away from it all and you can! Enjoy the beautiful country atmosphere. Come explore all Red Creek and South Mississippi have to offer in absolute comfort!
Our location is off the beaten path, yet close to everything Biloxi/Gulfport has to offer. We are approximately 35 minutes from: Outlet Shopping, Waterpark, Casinos, Beaches, Museums, Aquarium, Ship Island Ferry, Fishing Excursions, Gulfport Sportsplex, MS Coast Coliseum, and many dining options. 77 acres of rolling hills along the headwaters of Haley's Creek with a 1 m waterfall into a 4-ft deep pool and beautiful hardwood and pine forest all around. A Rustic road courses along with the creek and several offshoots for mountain biking or hiking. The waterfall and pool are a 1/2 mile hike into the property on the primitive road. Gravel is only provided at the entrance area, encircling the metal shed. Any driving off the gravel runs a risk of getting stuck in the slippery clay/mud. Rainwater barrels and 110 electricity are available at the metal shed. See dozens of tree species old and young along the creek and wildlife including turkeys, deer, bobcat, raccoons, possums, hawks, rabbits etc.

Site #1 was the perfect camping spot for my partner and our dogs. It was very peaceful and quiet. Easy walk from where you park to where you camp. The trails were well maintained. At night, the sound of frogs was easy to sleep to. Highly recommend. Will go back.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed there. Again they treated us like family and with kindness and always helpful if we needed anything. I would highly recommend staying here if you are camping or in a camper anywhere around Bruce and water valley. It is a very pretty piece of property with lots of places to walk on trails or ride and 2 nice lakes you can fish. It is a great place to get away and relax for a couple of days.

It's rustic and basic and was perfect for what I wanted for a few days. I enjoyed my time outside most. There are Christmas tree groves, a vineyard, open fields, and nature trails. The wildlife was alive, the stars were bright, and Austin/Wanda were kind.

We stayed at camp site 8 which had the woods behind us and an open field in front. Even though we were not tucked in the woods, the spot still offered constant shade for our tent and plenty of shade around the rest of the area. Perfect spot for our trip with 2 young kids and 2 dogs. The creek was pretty cool, kids definelty could spend all day there but id highly recommend to wear water shoes in the water and on the sand/rocks.

Loved our stay! Took my son tent camping and thoroughly enjoyed the campground. Jon is an amazing host and made sure our stay was top notch. The sites were clean, well taken care of and the scenery was fantastic. We didn’t pack any fishing gear on this trip, but we will definitely remember to pack it the next time we visit. I highly recommend this campground to anyone who wants a nice, peaceful camping experience.
