Enjoy 10 acres shared between 2 sites! The two campsites are large and can accommodate approximately 6 tents comfortably at each. If more is needed let us know we have room and can accommodate. There is a shared bathroom/changing room and trash/recycling between the sites. There is a water point in the barn if you need to fill up on drinking water just make sure you have a container for it. Site includes a picnic table and firepit and many acres with downed trees to salvage. Bundles of firewood can be purchased if needed. This area includes a back pasture and woods with trails throughout for walking/mountain biking. There are many horse trails in the area, if you want to bring your horses that is fine as long as you bring containment for them and clear it with us first. We are approximately 1 mile from a rum river access. There are multiple river trip options from our property. We are also 3 mins from lake george and the Rum River Regional Park for swimming, biking, fishing, boating, and more paddling. There is a Bills gas n grocery as well as a G-will liquors less than a minute from the property. The Ponds golf course is about 4 mins away as well. If you are looking to hit downtown Anoka that is a straight shot and approx 12 mins away. This site is on an active hobby farm that has dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, turkeys, and multiple gardens. We have a farm stand by the road where we sell items such as fresh roasted coffee, eggs, BBQ sauce, pickles, maple syrup, hot sauce, and more! We are very pet friendly and like to meet new furry faces, so feel free to bring them along!

Great quiet location, Wildlife and the sound of the country. You will have the only camp site on the property. You can stay in the small camping cabin in comfort with your own bedding, or sleeping bag for the twin bed in the loft, or the futon on the main level. The cabin only has room for two adults unless you bring a camp pad to sleep on the floor, or squeeze in a child, but you have the comforts of a small electric heater, or A/C if needed, a Weber grill, mini fridge, microwave, and Electricity. Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 8 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. If a shower is desired the Kwik Trip in St Cloud, on Hwy 10 has showers. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. In the Fall expect to see a large amount of wildlife with many migrating birds come out of the refuge to feed. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes or Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table, with plenty of free dry wood in a storage rack. My feeling on how well the heater will work in cold weather is you are probably good until the temp is in the lower teen. if interested you could bring a larger heater to help with heating. I do no plan to plow the driveway if it snows so keep that in mind if you see a storm forecast. I will block out dates after the first significant snowfall.

Enjoy a peaceful escape on our private 1-acre lot, perfect for tent camping or RVs. The site includes an electric hook-up, outhouse, and a dedicated fire pit for campfires under the stars. Surrounded by woods on either side, it offers a quiet, semi-secluded spot for nature lovers. A short trail (400 feet or a little over a football field) leads through the forest to the Snake River, where you’ll find a second fire pit with chairs, solar lighting, and a private dock that is share with just our cabin and then campsite. If you are tenting, you can tent at the river but do not drive on the trail except for atvs. The river is great for fishing, swimming, canoeing, or kayaking, and can accommodate small boats. Multiple public boat landings are located up and down the river for easy access. The property lines are outlined in the overview picture. Please do not go to the west of the trail to provide ample space for privacy with our neighbors. The red on the map is the camping area with electricity and outhouse. Our personal log cabin is the blue dot but there is a significant tree line in between. If we are there, we are happy to give you a tour. The blue line is the trail. The white area is our property on the river and available for tent only or to hang out for the day if you choose to camp up top. The purple area is where the goats are busy eating. Come and visit them! While the site does not have running water, you’ll be camping right next to our family cabin, and we’re happy to help with anything you might need. We also have friendly goats on the property that guests are welcome to visit! There’s also plenty to explore nearby. Just minutes away, Braham offers a quirky “hole-in-the-wall” bowling alley and some charming local shops. Head north to Pine City for more options, including restaurants, a larger grocery store, and additional shopping. History buffs will enjoy visiting the Snake River Trading Post, a Minnesota historical site. And if you’re in the mood for a local treat, Sapsucker Farms is a nearby cidery open on weekends, often hosting live music, food trucks, and hiking trails. Tent camped on site one and it was lovely! We got in pretty late so we didn’t get to enjoy the nice fire pit as we were just setting up to sleep. Got up in the AM and took a short walk to see the pretty horses, chicken, and turkeys. The turkeys have pretty big personalities! 10/10

Great little spot for a solo getaway just my dog and I. Love the proximity to Sherburne Nat'l Wildlife Refuge. Enjoyed various hikes there and the nature drive twice. The cabin was cozy and we enjoyed the shelter as there were intermittent showers. The porch overhang is nice to enjoy a quiet rain while staying dry. Loved having the mini fridge and microwave too. Just enough creature comforts yet simple and relaxed. Thanks for sharing your space Troy! Hope to be back next spring or fall!

We had a fun time at the Shady Hideaway site! My husband and I, unfortunately, had a rainstorm roll in the first day of our weekend trip, but we still had a lovely time just relaxing in the tent and listening to the rain. The site is very private and a great location to relax and enjoy a weekend out of the cities. We also got to see some super cute goats down the path!

Lazy River campsite was a beautiful location for our family to camp! It was only an hour from the metro area but felt like we were much further out and was very private. There was plenty of space for multiple tents right along the river with a nice fire pit area, kayak and canoe, hammock, and picnic table. It would have been tricky moving all our gear to and from our car to the river area but the hosts were so helpful and assisted us with their 4-wheeler. There was an option to camp right next to the vehicles but we wanted to be next to the water. Outhouse was clean and stocked. Would definitely recommend!

Great little getaway about an hour from the twin cities. Camping area and riverside hang out were both lovely. The hosts were responsive, kind, and helpful. We had a great time sitting by the fire, exploring the river on the canoe, and just hanging out on the riverbank. Campsite was clean and level, easy to park in, and outhouse was super clean! Pro tip: when navigating in, the actual entrance is a bit past where GPS points you. Go PAST the property with the red gate, past the next drive, and then you’ll see the clearing with the outhouse.

This site was perfect!! We have a new pop up trailer that we took out for the first time and it was a fantastic experience! The electrical hook up was conveniently located in the first site area. There is also a tent or boondock site down by the river that you can choose to camp at. Both areas have nice fire pits and wood. Anne and her husband were wonderful! Thanks again!!
