Weekend Trip to Pioneer Farm on Fish Lake

I tent camped for one night in the back meadow. Great location, very peaceful. They brought two 5 gallons buckets of water in case I needed to put out a campfire. I saw several hawks in the morning.

Weekend Trip to Alpha and Omega Pizza Farm

The Alpha Omega Farm was a wonderful time! We loved the peaceful surroundings, and the glamping tent was comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed the pizza and visiting with the farm animals.

3 nights at Rustic Haven Retreat on 80 acres

We loved camping on Adam's "little slice of heaven"! The views are amazing and the area is quiet. We realized at the last minute that we need power for our teardrop camper and Adam responded immediately. The area is close to many lakes and we visited a few. We loved swimming at Half Moon Lake. We also loved our walks to and from Union Cemetery - just up the road. On our last night of camping we were gifted with a rainbow and a family of swans on the pond. This was a lovely, peaceful spot! We had a great night in the cabin, and we had everything we needed. Peter was responsive and welcoming, but gave us space as well.

Could not have had a better stay! A beautiful space with friendly animals. Hosts were very welcoming. Tent was exactly like the photos and the bed was very comfortable. Port a potty was not too far of a walk and warm water was provided for a quick shower. Highly suggest the sauna experience.

Weekend Trip to Rising Sun Farm And Orchard

We had the most lovely stay on Lindsey’s farm! The yurt was cozy and safe during a sudden thunderstorm. We enjoyed wandering the land and seeing all of the vegetables, orchard, and animals. I absolutely recommend staying at Rising Sun Farm!

Weekend Trip to The Jubilee Homestead

This is our second time staying at the Jubilee homestead. We will definitely be back. They are so hospitable and generous, but also give you your privacy. They have free range goats, chickens, and cats that are so fun to play with and see in their natural element! Our kids love playing in their barn. I’d definitely suggest camping here! And it’s far enough out, but still close to many things.

Weekend Trip to Rustic Haven Retreat on 80 acres

We enjoyed a quiet and peaceful weekend. The view of the barn and pond were lovely. There were swans on the pond and Sandhill Cranes and deer that came around every day. We parked our 30ft camper up near the house where the power was, nobody was around all weekend. If you wanted to feel more secluded you could set up down at the far end of the barn (without power hookup). Nice fire ring and the wood was right there too.

The location is on a quiet gravel road with nice views of a pond and rolling hills with woods in the distance. The firepit was nice with a pile of wood right by it.

Weekend Trip to Sassy Fox Acres

My friends and I really enjoyed the Sassy Fox campsite. The camp was well marked, clean, and the host was responsive. We really enjoyed all the fireflies around the campsite! Our only suggestion is to mark the well for guests to easily find in thr future.

3 nights at Trails End Retreat

My husband and i spent 3 nights and were so sad to leave. The property is beautiful and so well taken care of and the family is so accommodating and friendly! They popped out and checked on us once a day but otherwise let us just explore the land and have our time alone. There were solar lights that led the way to the CLEAN outhouse which was serviced every day! We were able to have our dog off leash and enjoyed watching all the wildlife. We will for sure be back! *we added the load of wood and the farm fresh eggs and just take our advice and do it as well! The eggs were amazing and such a great price for the amount of wood they have stacked and waiting for you at the site!

This was the perfect place to stay for the night. Such a cute little cabin and had everything I needed. Went for a walk in the nature trails after dinner and was so serene and quiet. Wild definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at Christine's campsite! The site itself was super private and I highly recommend renting the kayaks. We got to see a lot of wildlife- lots of birds!

Also known as the Hershey Homestead, our property is home to what we like to call the funny farm. We have lots of kids and all of them are involved in 4h so that means we have lots of animals. Chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, goats, sheep, pigs, beef, and horses each have a home here as well as dogs and cats. It's rarely quiet but the chorus of sounds you hear can be an interesting mix of the mating calls of the peacocks to the mooing of the cows to the howls of coyotes at night. (And maybe some of our seven kids playing outside ). As a camper on our property, you are welcome to explore the homestead at your leisure and take in the sights and smells of the farm. We also have several ponds that bring in an array of wildlife that can be great for bird watching or maybe even catching a few bluegills. We have a new couple of bald eagles that built a nest in a towering white pine along the shore of the big pond, providing opportunities for eagle sightings and photography. There are multiple trails throughout the property available for hiking as well We are a 1/4 mile from the lake of Shell Lake which has one of the nicest public beaches in northern WI and there are lots of eating and shopping options within a short distance in all directions. We like to say that we live in the country with the convenience of city amenities only a hop skip and a jump away.

Enjoy 10 acres shared between 2 sites! The two campsites are large and can accommodate approximately 6 tents comfortably at each. If more is needed let us know we have room and can accommodate. There is a shared bathroom/changing room and trash/recycling between the sites. There is a water point in the barn if you need to fill up on drinking water just make sure you have a container for it. Site includes a picnic table and firepit and many acres with downed trees to salvage. Bundles of firewood can be purchased if needed. This area includes a back pasture and woods with trails throughout for walking/mountain biking. There are many horse trails in the area, if you want to bring your horses that is fine as long as you bring containment for them and clear it with us first. We are approximately 1 mile from a rum river access. There are multiple river trip options from our property. We are also 3 mins from lake george and the Rum River Regional Park for swimming, biking, fishing, boating, and more paddling. There is a Bills gas n grocery as well as a G-will liquors less than a minute from the property. The Ponds golf course is about 4 mins away as well. If you are looking to hit downtown Anoka that is a straight shot and approx 12 mins away. This site is on an active hobby farm that has dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, turkeys, and multiple gardens. We have a farm stand by the road where we sell items such as fresh roasted coffee, eggs, BBQ sauce, pickles, maple syrup, hot sauce, and more! We are very pet friendly and like to meet new furry faces, so feel free to bring them along!

Dan bought this property with the intention of growing stone fruits (plums, peaches, apricots and cherries) using sustainable and organic practices because health and wellness matter to them! They are still in the process of improving their property. Many of the building on the property were in poor condition, including the old barn foundation which is now one of Dan and Danielle favorite places to keep cool in the summer. After they had excavated all the debris (which took years) they were able to transform it with gardens and fire pit for all to enjoy. They love sharing what they have been blessed with! Several lakes in the area provide numerous options for fishing, boating, and hiking. And nothing beats those evening country road walks while agate hunting! Summer is here! We are a small hobby farm that's located within one hour from Minneapolis/St. Paul. Our farm has wooded trails, bonfire pits, is quiet and very peaceful. Our little town is 10 minutes from most shopping, with multiple restaurants minutes away. We offer multiple locations to camp on the property. There is a concrete pad with (2) 30-amp electric and (2) water hookups. The 2 sites with hookups are very level and easy to park on. There are many other areas to park and camp, with access to water for filling up tanks, and an outhouse for bathroom needs. Beanbag toss, basketball hoop, and ladder game are available upon request. Firewood available for a small fee. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed and under owner's control at all times when outside. Maximum of two pets per site. The sunrises and sunsets are absolutely amazing with wildlife all around to gaze at and enjoy.
