While you can see the neighbor's house, it is still very dark at night and excellent for stargazing. The bus will be disabled for guests; it will not start or move. While there are electric fans, AC, and a TV with DVD player, there is no electricity available (bring your own generator if you want). There is a cassette toilet with instructions.

Spend some cozy downtime enjoying a fire and the peacefulness of 4 acre lake property. Take a hot shower and sleep in a comfortable bed- all for less than a hotel room! It’s like glamping. **We do require a photo of a valid government ID from all members of your party, immediately after booking. The host will tell you how to send this. If not received within the specified time frame, your booking will be cancelled and you will not receive check in information. This property: Cozy lakeside cottage that sleeps two, with level lawn space nearby that will fit two additional tents in your group. Dedicated private space is in lower level backyard with access to dock* (*May -September), lake and wildlife wetlands with boardwalk. You'll see the setting sun from the end of the dock and have access to a paver patio firepit. Private 3/4 bath and comfortable TV room is 60 steps away in the house. Mostly private spaces with some shared spaces such as driveway, hallways, sometimes we cross paths in the yard. Mystic Lake Casino, Canterbury Downs, renaissance fest, Valleyfair, & many other area lakes besides the 600 acre all sports lake that the property is located on are in the immediate area. For location purposes, we are located 3.7 miles of the Prior Lake, MN McDonald's. The basic price of $80 per night includes up to two campers inside or outside of the cottage, but up to two additional campers and tents can be added to the reservation for $20 per person/ per night. A limit of two persons inside of the cottage and four persons total are allowed per reservation. All persons must be declared ahead of reserving the space and ID’d for insurance purposes. Please note that all persons on the reservation must submit a copy of their valid picture government ID to the host (via platform) prior to arrival (but after booking), and sign a property liability waiver upon check in. The host will discuss the procedure with you as HC supports pictures only after booking. Please ask prior to booking if you have any questions about this- this is a requirement of our short term rental insurance, and part of our self check in procedure. The pantry is stocked with sea salt, pepper, some basic cooking herbs, local coffee beans, and herbal tea. We have a work desk with some writing supplies, colored pencils and crayons, board games, a record player with a few of our favorite records on hand, and a handpicked collection of books to cozy up and dive into. There is a brand new open-concept bathing room featuring a restored clawfoot bathtub & pedestal sink, a private restroom nook, and complete with fresh towels, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The linen and supplies used inside the home were selected to be easy on the environment and are free of harsh chemicals so those with sensitive skin can rest easy. We have a well on property and mound septic system, and so we are mindful of how we're maintaining the land around us with the products we use.

Great restaurants in quaint downtown Hudson 8 min. away and historic Stillwater 15 min. away. For bed setup. We can sleep 6 comfortably or more depending on if the queen beds are shared. There is one queen bed in bedroom #1. Bedroom #2 has 2 twin beds. Then we have 2 nice tall inflatable mattresses with built in pumps and all needed bedding that set up in the living room. One mattress is a queen and the other is a twin. We also have a tiny home on the property if extra space is needed, please inquire! You can find it listed as "The Little House on Strawberry Hill. Weekend Trip to Alpha and Omega Pizza Farm

We booked a late Fall trip to the farm and it exceeded all expectations. The farm setting was beautiful and charming. It was a great spot to hang out. We arrived in the late afternoon after hiking. One extras we added was dinner, so a little more than and hour after arriving and getting settled in, a crock of steaming hot beef stew and fresh bread was delivered tent side. We also added the Sauna/Cold Plunge package, so a couple hours after dinner we put on our suits and wandered over the wood-fired sauna. Talk about perfect. A few steamy rounds later and final plunge, we dried off and headed back to the tent to settle in front of the campfire. It was all really perfect. The tent was cozy and toasty warm with the stove. They've set up the experience so you have everything you need to have a great time. We're scheming to come back with friends, family or both!

5 nights at Cozy Lakeside Cottage Guestroom

This was exactly what I was looking for. The property (and expected experience) is accurately described. The property, including the cottage/camping area is bordered by trees and brush on two sides and the lake (with a dense growth of cattails) on the third. Even though cottage/camping area is technically a spacious "backyard" I did feel like I was camping. The "cottage" is pretty much the size of an Expedition tent. I stayed for five nights. I precooked my meals and home intending to heat them over the fire but ended using the microwave instead. For this time year (late October) this is good option. If the weather gets nasty (too cold or even snow) the "cottage" is a wonderful backup.

Weekend Trip to Belle Creek Bluff

Such a beautiful location, we felt so secluded! We saw deer, an eagle and a little downy woodpecker gave us a show on a tree just outside the screened in porch which was a favorite spot for our morning coffee and to listen to the rain. So peaceful . The water crossing was indeed a challenge with glacier cold water I decided to take a wrong step on a slippery rock and do a face plant in the cold water! With pretty much only my pride hurt (and a video my hubby happened to be taking of me at the time) it definitely made a memorable trip! We would definitely come back! And I were not to step now! ;)

We loved "glamping" here! The cabin was adorable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect...secluded, yet so close to several gorgeous hiking spots. The stargazing was incredible. Our pups (one of whom is scared of other dogs and people) were so happy to have the seclusion. It was the perfect spot to spend our days hiking, and our nights being cozy in the cabin!

Dan greeted us warmly and offered our children the chance to pick an apple from his tree. His farm is gorgeous with vibrant sunsets and a quiet breeze through the grasses. We were very comfortable in the spacious tent and made a cozy bonfire both nights. We highly recommend staying here!

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and had a great time. The dwelling is a well renovated and spacious loft in a barn at the back of a property. Although physically near other hobby farms, it felt secluded and private. It’s a short drive, about 20 minutes, north to Stillwater and all the amazing dining options or the same distance south to Afton State Park with its hiking trails.

Weekend Trip to Rustic Log Cabin with Stunning View

The view of rolling hills, fields and forest was indeed lovely, especially with the Autumn colors. We loved the dark night sky, and could see all kinds of stars, milky way, meteors, satellites. The cabin is cozy and comfy and the beds were too! We enjoyed cooking over the fire outside, and using the propane griddle. Hosts are super warm, friendly and positive. Thank you for a lovely stay!

2 nights at Stone Creek Farm

I loved camping in Dan's yurt campsite! The walk from the car is perfect, just long enough to feel like you are really out there camping! The views walking to the bathroom in the fall were just gorgeous! Speaking of the bathroom don't be scared off by the composting toilet. Dan provides plenty of woodchips/sawdust to cover everything up and there is no odor! The bbq grill and bonfire ring are great to have options. The picnic table seats plenty of people. It rained a bit while we were there and everything in the tent stayed dry thanks to the extra plastic Dan has placed over the top of the yurt. Dan is so kind and generous and feels like going over to a friend's house to camp. Can't wait to return next year!

This little spot is very sweet and easy for newbie campers. The vintage trailer is truly a vintage gem, and you can see so many stars at night out in the countryside. I would recommend renting the RV versus tent camping mainly because there is a lot of car noise from being in such a flat area and sound traveling.
