The 80-acre property is carved out of a Norway pine plantation. Sites are approximately 10,000 square ft. in size with about 50 ft. of trees between each site for semi-privacy. We have tried to maintain a balance of nature while making the sites as RV friendly as possible. Although the property is located in the country, it is located along a state highway for easy access and there are three towns and many amenities and recreational venues within 15 minutes drive. Currently no hook-ups, but there is a yard hydrant and dump station. There are also portable restrooms on site.

Trust us, with over 300 miles of shoreline to explore, this place will make you want to ask for a few more days off. Settle in among the birch and pine trees that line this reservoir and breathe in the beauty of 126,000 acres of cool, clear water. A crackling campfire at the lake’s well-maintained campground is perfect for a quick dry-off after exploring the marshlands or crouching by the shore to catch a glimpse of a local heron or loon.
With handy access to trails, picnic areas, and a moor for your boat, your site will be an ideal spot to recharge and plan for the next day. And if the lake’s got you itching for fish, there are enough perch and pike here for the whole crew.

Come for the camping, stay for the scenery. Dripping purple and orange sunsets meet perfect sandy beaches at Crosslake Recreation Area where the facilities are nice but the views are even better. If an escape from routine and suburbia without the sacrifice of convenience and flushing toilets is a main motivator, find yourself at Crosslake for a couple of days to soak in some of the well deserved R&R.
Thirteen natural lakes span the area for a whopping 13,660 acres of water available for your recreational pleasure and a paved, shady bike path will be your new BFF when the sun is getting to be a bit much. Speaking of sun, don’t forget the floppy hat and extra large beach towel because the sunbathing here is out of this world! Hey, they don’t call it the Land of Lakes for nothin’!

Beautiful spot with a huge barn you can relax in the game room, very unique! David and Logan were great hosts, enjoyed the visit, the Info and the apple crisp. Don't forget to go see the Dambo Trolls, 2 are very close.

This was a perfect location to check out the troll hunt. Dave was friendly and helpful. The barn and it's inside it a great addition to the space. It was a cold night so we watched a movie in the barn! We would highly recommend this place.

We lived camping on Randy’s land. It was so spacious and made the 4 campers plus the tents have plenty of space and kids loved fishing off the docks all day long. Tons of grass areas for the dogs to run and play.

Tumbleweed Basecamp was amazing! We met with David and he showed us the barn and amenities. David was so nice to talk to! The barn is amazing! I meditation and yoga and it was very grounding being in a 100 year old barn. We loved our stay here!

Tumbleweed is a special place, David and Logan have gone over every detail to make their Hipcamp an incredible experience. Camping on real grass, dense shade trees, bathroom, and hospitality in spades. Communication is impeccable. Directions are super easy. This Hipcamp is perfect in everyway. Oh, and the Barn. I chilled out there and chatted with Logan past my bedtime sharing adventure stories. The barn is cozy and has games, fridge and all conveniences like the recroom I grew up with in the 80’s. One day I am sure they will have vinyl records too. Stay here if you appreciate warmth, peace and real people who care about real people. Thanks for everything Tumbleweed!!
