Nice natural spot and clean area with short connecting walking trails on site. Quite close to a busy road, but relatively quiet and private. Didn’t use it, but I believe there is electric hook up (not 100% sure though). The host was easy to work with and responded to all questions.

Weekend Trip to The Hamlet Lake Homestead

We had a wonderful time over the Memorial Day weekend at Eric’s property! Everything was as advertised. Eric and his family were amazing hosts and helped make our weekend special in multiple ways from greeting us as we arrived and providing us with activities while we were there. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. Our five kids loved the beach and lake activities, especially the kayaks and paddle boards, and playing with the animals. We also went biking on the nearby Cuyuna mountain bike trails and Crosby town trails, which were fantastic. We would love to come back again in the future.

Weekend Trip to SOL VIND - Lakeside Camping Retreat

There’s nothing bad to say about this place, we loved camping here! The campsites are fairly close together but you still have your own privacy which we loved. Even on memorial weekend, it was very quiet and relaxing. We will definitely be back when it’s warm enough to swim!!

Weekend Trip to Sunset Pines MN

This is a place that is perfect for families. We enjoyed reading quietly in our RV site and listening to the kids pal around and have the time of their lives. The manager was very friendly and really accommodating when we had to stay part of a day longer because our camper awning got stuck in the open position. The facilities including bathrooms are clean and well kept. And it's free to use the kayaks and canoe. They also have fishing boats for rent.

Jackie was a great host! She communicated well out of the gate and was quick to respond to any questions during our time on site. Jackie suggested bringing a lot of bug spray but bugs were not an issue at all. We visited in early May. The property was clean and we enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely loved the place such a beautiful area to camp and relax at! The hosts are super nice and friendly and are always a call away. We loved the all animals there, such a cool experience getting to meet the emu they had. Definitely a place I'd love to check out again. Would recommend for great family camping experience. 1 night at Velkommen to Norske Camp!

Cool camp, there are lots of extra amenities on site, paper towels, charcoal, lighter fluid etc. Nice fire pit with all the tools you could need to stole the fire and cook. The outhouse was clean and had sanitizer inside. It's directly next to the Paul Bunyan trail so that is a plus. The owner was helpful and and sent me info prior to my visit and was available if needed. There was also a cool black cat named Boo that hung out with me, it was an unexpected bonus.

The Hamlet Lake Homestead

The Hamlet Lake Bunkhouse is located to the west of our home in its own secluded parcel next to the lake. The Camp on Hamlet Hill is to the north of our home, on a remote flat hill at the top of our property, on a hill over Cedar brook. with 300-acre, (private) Hamlet Lake in front, and the wide portion of the 20-mile Cedar brook in the back. We are a large "homesteading" family, with chickens, ducks, and a garden. The campsite is a private 1/2 acre clearing, surrounded by woods with a firepit, grill, cooking utensils, and an outhouse. (Tents are available for a small additional cost). There is an outdoor water pump below the hill. Guests can access the waterfront and beach in front, with the use of the swim raft, lily pad, fishing dock, canoe, kayak, and paddle boards included. At nearly 100 feet deep, Hamlet lake also boasts excellent fishing. Our home is located 6 miles from Crosby, with the world-class Cuyuna Lakes 50-mile mountain bike trail system. Crosby is a growing tourist town with many new and unique restaurants, outdoor adventures, and shopping opportunities. The paved bike trail begins 3.5 north of us. Milacs lake is 10 miles to the south.

Located at the end of a private road on Fool Lake with wooded mature trees that offer privacy. The lake is quiet and calm. Fool Lake is a private, environmental lake, with many varieties of fish. We have two simple sites that allow you to camp within 2 miles of cuyuna mountain bike trails and the town of Crosby. Perfect for those just looking for a quiet place to relax after a great day of riding, hiking and enjoying the outdoors! Set a hammock, start a fire , enjoy a sauna and just relax! Bike to town and have dinner, ice cream and visit a local pub. We also have 20 and 30amp power. Take an outdoor shower to clean up after a day on the trails.
