Hello, my name is Jo, and I'll be your host at Jackel Creek! Currently, I have three campsites available on an acre of beautiful property to share. Enjoy the creek with a small dock and landing area, perfect for kayaks, canoes, and small john boats, which work well in the shallow water. Explore Placid Lake and the dam area, where the Long Prairie River and Crow Wing River flow south from the lake. A public boat landing and swimming beach are also nearby. I'm located just 2 miles southeast of the village of Pillager, where you'll find local attractions, including coffee shops, cafés, and bars, as well as Dollar General and Casey's for camping supplies and other essentials. Pillager Lake is just west of town, along with the beautiful Pillsbury State Forest, where horseback riding is available. You'll also find excellent swimming and fishing at Pillager Lake. There are many trails to hike and explore, and with the Brainerd Lakes Area just 22 minutes away, you'll have easy access to even more outdoor recreation and attractions. Come REST & RETREAT in nature and enjoy the peaceful vibes. Disconnect to reconnect with yourself, friends, and family while creating fun, lasting memories. Dogs are welcome! I have two small Australian Shepherds, so please keep your dogs contained or on a leash. Well water is available, and guests may use the cabin's bathroom, shower, kitchen, and sink. Coffee and lemonade are available. A small charcoal grill and a gas grill on my deck are available for a small fee. Quiet hours: 11:00 PM–9:00 AM.
