Group trip
The yurt itself was a beautifully set up — spacious, warm, and very accommodating. Even with the cool October evenings, the heated yurt kept us toasty, and gathering around for games of dominoes while being warm and cozy. If you’re looking for something memorable and a little different, I recommend this yurt. The blend of nature, comfort, and family connection made it one of our favorite getaways. We’ll be back next fall!

Wonderful family get away. Slept so well. Lots of stargazing, family game nights, and screen free time. Would absolutely come back! I bet the yurt is beautiful after a snowfall. Responsive hosts, super clean yurt, comfy beds, and a composting not stinky out house! Had a great time.

From the moment my husband and I arrived with our two pups at Whispering Winds Retreat, we knew we’d found something truly special. Tucked into this lush corner of nature, the land feels alive—towering trees, gentle textures of grass and the rustle of leaves instantly set a peaceful tone. Beverly has created such thoughtful spaces, like the outdoor meditation area, that invite you to pause and breathe.
We stayed in the Fantasy Woodland Haven, which was the perfect balance of rustic and comfortable. It felt off-grid enough to be an escape, yet had all the amenities to make our stay relaxing and restorative. Every detail—from the cozy fairy décor to the privacy of the space—was intentional.
One of the best parts was how much our dogs enjoyed it, too! Whispering Winds is incredibly dog-friendly, with a private dog park, wooded trails, and little touches that made our pups feel just as welcome as we did. Watching them run, explore, and settle in so happily made our experience even more meaningful.
Beverly, the host, is a gem. Her warmth, authenticity, and passion for creating a place of renewal shine everywhere you look. She made us feel so welcome, and we left not only refreshed but inspired.
Plan to unplug and let nature set your pace. Bring good shoes, watercolors, maybe a fishing pole—but also be ready to leave expectations behind. Whispering Winds is a rare treasure, and we can’t wait to come back!

This place was so cool! I loved staying the YURT. The surrounding wilderness and stream on the land made it so peaceful. A lot of bird watching, wildlife sightings, and gorgeous flowers and trees. I enjoyed the comfort of being high up with a locked door and windows open to hear the crickets. I will return for another trip. Anytime of the year would be fine since there is heat and air conditioning. So lovely!

3 nights at The Flipping RV
We loved being able to have our own getaway at a family reunion. Penny is clean, cute and comfortable with loads of little thoughtful perks. We loved not having to bring our own linens and/or dishes and appreciated the K-cups and dog treats they stocked the camper with. Delivery and pick up were both super prompt and we would highly recommend this to anyone!

Very centrally located little gem of an RV park with lots of shade trees. There are so many sites nearby and the Mississippi River is within sight. Nice, clean bathroom with large shower stall. Owners are very responsive as well.

I really enjoyed camping the air conditioner was really nice to have there was lots of space for my dog to be off leash i thought the toilet with running water was really a neat way to save on water and be able to wash your hand ls RJWas nice I will definitely come back again

Weekend Trip to Whispering Winds Retreat
Whispering Winds was the weekend away we didn't know we needed.
The dog park was incredible for our tripod who we have difficulty taking to actual dog parks!! She loved the resident and non resident animals!
The lands are beautifully curated and designed with the human and dog in mind. We loved the paths, the community kitchen is such a great bonus! We can't wait to come back!

We loved our stay in the RV Penny, and would definitely recommend. Nicole is the best host I've ever encountered (and that's normally a thing that stands out to me); she made everything so easy and was incredibly responsive. She even had a birthday gift waiting for our daughter because I'd mentioned we were celebrating her 5th bday. Penny is adorable and clean and has everything you could need--honestly, just bring your clothes. I thought it might feel complicated rent a camper and then find a site and coordinate everything getting set up, but Nicole took care of it all and it couldn't have been easier. I highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to DeLeeuw Dens
We had a blast for my wife’s birthday weekend. This yurt has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The host was outstanding and probably one of the best so far. It was a really cold weekend and they did a great job making sure we stayed warm. We will definitely be back soon with our kids
