Makers Acres is our home, our pottery studio named, Maine Prairie Studio, the Lakeside Campground, The Wedge and our camper, Andromeda. Guests are able to reserve the camper, The Wedge or Lakeside Campground to stay in. The camper is equipped with running water, electricity etc. The lakeside campground has enough space for 3 different dispersed campsites. The Wedge, is just enough for 1-2 people to stay.

Welcome to comfort and relaxation! Exquisite rural setting in the river valley of the St Croix. Cozy up in this new barn apartment on our property that is close to beautiful parks and trails and many attractions and also a half hour from the twin cities.
The space
Designed with modern and well equipped spaces in mind, the entire second floor of the barn space is for our guests use including a full laundry room and fully equipped kitchen.
For sleeping accommodations we have the main "owners" bedroom with a queen bed, the secondary bedroom has 2 twin beds. In the living room, the sofa has a pull-out queen mattress made of quality memory foam and bedding. In addition to or if preferred, we also have a Queen size double high air mattress with built in pump and also a twin double high mattress with built in pump and all bedding.
The Loft at Strawberry Hill provides its guests fresh towels, linens, and many other necessities such as dish soap, dishwasher/laundry tabs, shampoo etc.
Other things to note
Balconies on both ends to enjoy beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Many trails for walking. Afton Alps resort and Afton State Park close by. Private fire pit and Adirondack chairs on premises for our guests outdoor use. Great restaurants in quaint downtown Hudson 8 min. away and historic Stillwater 15 min. away.
For bed setup. We can sleep 6 comfortably or more depending on if the queen beds are shared. There is one queen bed in bedroom #1. Bedroom #2 has 2 twin beds. Then we have 2 nice tall inflatable mattresses with built in pumps and all needed bedding that set up in the living room. One mattress is a queen and the other is a twin.
We also have a tiny home on the property if extra space is needed, please inquire! You can find it listed as "The Little House on Strawberry Hill.

Weekend Trip to The Loft at Strawberry Hill Farm
Beautiful space! Many times pictures make a place look pretty, but you get there and everything is flimsy. Not here! The couches and bed were very comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked etc. We stayed in winter, so didn't explore the grounds too much, but could see there was a lot to do.

4 nights at The Loft at Strawberry Hill Farm
We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and had a great time. The dwelling is a well renovated and spacious loft in a barn at the back of a property. Although physically near other hobby farms, it felt secluded and private.
It’s a short drive, about 20 minutes, north to Stillwater and all the amazing dining options or the same distance south to Afton State Park with its hiking trails.

Great secluded space! lots of trees on the campsite, ground can be a little uneven just take note. The lake is beautiful, lots of wildlife. Watch your step around the dock, its a little shaky. Could use a bit of landscaping around the picnic tables but Gary came to meet us and talk about the area. Bonus for Goats on the property. Its close to the dirt road when you come off so easy in easy out.

Gary and Katherine are so amazing. They are so accommodating and Katherine even got us some wild grapes and apples from their land! They were so awesome. I didn’t get time to go see the chickens or goats but I will be back. The area we chose was nestled in the trees and had direct access to the fire pit and the lake. The lake is amazing and the wildlife is breathtaking. I had a great time and like I said, I WILL be back!

Our family camped here for 2 nights and it was such a blast. Absolutely beautiful sunsets each night! We jumped off the dock and swam in the crisp, clean lake in the cool misty morning and in the afternoon summer heat. Cooking and eating meals on the floating pontoon picnic table was a fun and unique experience. The trumpeter swans were a fun surprise. Gary was a great host and a great communicator. Made core family memories here!

Me and my daughter stayed here on a mother and daughter trip and it was amazing. They made us feel very comfortable and showed us the goats and the chickens and the beautiful lake. There’s plenty to do in the cabin as well and it’s very cozy. We will definitely be coming back!

Easy to find location, towns within 10 minute drive for anything you may need. The site was nestled in the trees, direct view and access of/to the lake, firepit, and free to use canoe, kayak, body board, and pontoon. The hosts were very welcoming and eager to make sure you had all that you needed to enjoy yourself while visiting their property. Outhouse was short easy walk, site was private and quiet, and I felt so safe.

The chalet on Danger Lake was a wonderful escape. So many beautiful animals on the property, the lodging was well appointed. There are plenty of games and books to use while there (I found a new favorite book there :). We brought DVDs from the library to watch at night, though there were movies there to use as well. The nearby town of Cambridge has a wonderful inexpensive movie theater. Kiddo and I enjoyed walking around the property and looking at herons and swans. Gary and his wife are terrific hosts.
