3 nights at Twin Folk Farms

We had such a a great time at the cabin! With 4 adults and two dogs, we didn't feel over crowded at all. We swam in the rush river one day and had a board game day inside while it rained. So peaceful, thank you Darla! Hope to get back in the fall for some cooler temps and more fishing.

2 nights at Belle Creek Bluff

Perfect place to let down and rest. Beautiful creek you or the kids can walk down all day. I'm a repeat guest and can't recommend it highly enough. Just an hour from the cities.

1 night at Brookside Meadows

We loved this property. The owners didn't realize we were there till the next day but rode out to say hi to us and let us know we could take our time tearing down which we really appreciated. There was tons of space to roam and my son put his tent up in a separate area from the main campsite which the owner said was ok. I hung a hammock by the creek and had the best nap of my life. The bugs were not too bad the only thing I would mention is that the stinging nettle or bull thistle (not sure which, I thought it was nettle but the images don't look right on Google) was quite prevalent all over the rent site so I put down a tarp to stop it from getting me. I highly recommend walking or driving as much of the property as possible. The stand of birch trees was pretty cool too! I will be back!

Absolutely the very best spot! Quiet, secluded, and beautiful, I'll keep coming back year after year! The owners are amazing, and have gone above and beyond to make sure the site is safe, peaceful, and accessible. They were quick to address any and all concerns, and I can't help love this location even more for it!

This is my favorite place to camp. I've been here several years in a row. Such a beautiful place and it's in close proximity to amazing trails and waterfalls. I can't wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Belle Creek Bluff

This is an amazing spot to camp. JT has done a great job setting this place up. The kids really enjoyed getting accross Belle creek to get to the cabin. When we arrived the water was high. I brought a raft so I was able to get the kids and the gear across. I would definitely recommend this site and we will be back.

Weekend Trip to Prairie Creek Campground

I highly recommend this Hipcamp! I stayed at Site 3 and looked at the others, three is the best for sure. There’s a drop in the stream there so the water is very audible, plus it’s the last site so it’s the most private between 1, 2, and 3. It also had some grass to put the tent on where the others looked to be mostly dirt, which is fine except if it’s raining. The outhouse is probably a 5ish minute walk away, and it has a sink with soap to wash your hands outside. You can walk into the regional park that the property is surrounded by, which is also nice. Note that cell service is terrible. I was there 6/14 and bugs were not an issue at all but it was drizzly out. Overall I would absolutely return!

Very private site- just what we were looking for! You do get some road noise, but it’s nothing that wakes or keeps you up. Was fun to hear the neighboring sheep and cows is the morning and evening. ☺️ Suspiciously few bugs, and not muddy at all despite all the rain we’ve been getting! Just an FYI for those with bigger rigs: it’s a relatively steep driveway down into the property. It’s well graveled and we made it up in low gear 4 wheel drive just fine!

This was our second time staying at Twin Folk farms and our first time at their cabin. We absolutely loved it! The weather wasn't the best so we were happy we had the cabin. It was very cozy, clean, well appointed and our family of five and golden retriever had plenty of room to lounge and move around. The kids had a blast running around the trails exploring the area. We also ran into the host at their tent at the Red Wing Farmers Market which was pretty awesome! We picked up a rack of ribs which we grilled that night and it was amazing (she threw in a chicken foot treat for our dog who loved it). All in all it was a fantastic quick getaway and Darla is a great host. We will be back again sometime down the road!

Such a clean, quiet and beautiful spot! I’m sure the sunrise/sunset would have been awesome if it wasn’t raining, but still was a nice space for the night.

Great little spot! We loved the sound of the creek the whole time, along with the coyotes and owls. The hosts are very friendly and they really do a great job with keeping the camp spots nice. With it being only an hour south of The Twin Cities we will definitely plan another trip here.

My family and I really enjoyed our site. My labradors especially loved being right on Prairie Creek. There’s a bunch of trails to access from the property which was awesome. The sites were well maintained and having a cart to bring our gear back was a great surprise. I would recommend this to anyone.

This campsite was amazing! 5min off the road but completely surrounded by woods. Could hear owls and coyotes at night. Easy access to Caron Park and the waterfall next door. The campsite was clean and taken care of and Stephen was very friendly. Definitely coming again!

We loved tent camping. The fire ring was easy to use and very safe. We hiked to the local county park with a beautiful but chilly stream. Overall, peaceful and lovely stay.
