Discover the perfect getaway at our private campsite nestled in the trees on the bank of a secluded waterfowl preserve, Wonderland Woods Campsite is a nature lovers paradise! Explore our 40 acre property, including You-Pick flowers, kayak the 466 acre spring-fed pond, walk the paths through the woods, or relax in the hammock as you close your eyes and listen for all the nature sounds. Good to note: Our pond is a beautiful kayaking pond with lots of waterfowl, but not great for fishing, swimming or paddle boarding. We recommend Perch Lake which is a 15 min drive, for a great swimming and paddleboarding experience.

A 12 acre lake with amazing wildlife/birdwatching, 20 acres of wooded trails for hiking or mtn biking, a 6 acre meadow, gorgeous sunsets and night skies, and whatever else you make of it. Note in planning your trip: we are blessed to be immersed in all aspects of Wisconsin culture, and that includes an occassional gun shoot! The nearby Amery Sportsmans Club has regular skeet shooting hours just twice per week, Sundays 11-2pm, and Tuesdays 5-8 pm. It can be quite noisy for an otherwise blissful environment! Tuesday bookings are therefore 1/2 off, and please keep this in mind should you want to extend your stay into Sunday afternoons during the warm seasons.

We have 43 beautiful acres currently home to four heifers, three donkeys , two lovable lambs, three precocious pigs, and dozens of cheerful chickens. You can choose to camp next to the animals or out in the field for lovely stargazing at night. We do daily chores each morning and evening, and you are welcome to tag along and help, if you wish. We share a small pond with our neighbors and are less than 3 miles from South Center Lake, where you can put in your kayaks. Other local attractions include Franconia Art Park, Downtown Lindstrom, quaint Osceola, WI, Taylor's Falls and more. There is an apple orchard 2 miles away with u pick strawberries in spring and apples in the fall.

This was a great fall trip! We had an excellent time in the primative pasture campsite, in view of the rams. We explored all around the farm and were only 20 minutes away from interstate park. The icecream and other goodies in the barn shop were great! We spent lots of time with the alpacas and sheep, the hosts were super friendly as well. We heard cranes, coyotes, and moles milling around at night!

We camped right next to the sheep and cows and my kids LOVED the experience. Christine and Jamie were incredibly warm and welcoming, inviting us to join them in farm chores. There’s plenty of room to roam and animals to visit. We’ll definitely be back and we’ll be sure to bring our boots like other reviewers recommended!

Such a great retreat from the city! I used the provided kayak for a sunset paddle and the firewood was at site as well. Gorgeous sunset and even better sunrise! Quiet, private, and the view was stunning. I took a bunch of photos to make oil paintings. Bob Ross! Haha The host was so great helping me back out on my tear drop’s maiden voyage. Nice guy! Thanks Adam! Only an hour from TC and plenty of places to stock up for needs along the way. Loved it.

This was a terrific spot to camp, it was secluded on peninsula with tons of wildlife. We stayed for just one night and saw deer, pilliated woodpeckers, trumpeter swans, sandhill cranes, gulls, muscat, multiple species of water fowl, and even 3 river otter that swam right up to us! They thought of everything you could ask for facilities wise. Would come back if we are in the area again. Was a good place for us to take our 6mo old in his first camping trip without worring about disturbing anyone with his cries at night.

Loved it. Beautiful open field but our site was tucked away in a wooded area. The site was cleared away nicely for the tent. Stars at night are amazing. Also watched some lightening far away. My kid dug it. Farm animals are great and check out their antique store above the barn, they sell honey and homemade ice cream too.
