Each day we feel blessed to live in an idyllic, peaceful spot and we would like to share the serenity we've found here.
We are less than a mile off Old 27, close to 127 and 5 miles to I-69 DeWitt Exit. Drop by and stay for a night on your way to your final destination or relax and stay for a few days,
Our first site is open for tent or RV. Our new heated barn has a flush-toilet, sink, shower, washer and dryer. Less than a mile down the road is our local tavern with good, affordable food and welcoming vibe.
Our home sits in the middle of a large clover lawn surrounded by woods, a pond and low-land meadow with high grass and wildflowers. Walking trails are cut through the woods and meadow providing ability to see deer, rabbits, dragonflies, butterflies, birds, cranes, blue and green heron and native flowers. We sometimes see raccoons, eagle, hawk, wood peckers, coyote and fox. During the day you'll see our ducks and chickens free-ranging and our sheep may join them or be in their pasture.
We have an active homestead farm and we are focused on building a thriving environment for pollinators.
Autumn brings the honey harvest and in the spring maple syrup... you're always welcome around the fire.

We provide a Battery pump shower where you have to fill the bag with water & foot pump sink like used at festivals. The shack isn’t perfectly air tight so you might encounter a few bugs however with Chickens around they are natural bug exterminators. Ceiling height it just at 6 ft meaning those taller than that need to Duck under beams. Please beware.

Lake can only be viewed from the upstairs of shack due to tall reeds or by way of walking path which is still under construction partially handmade from scrap lumber . It’s about 2/3 complete with newly built dock, sections (see pics). The path is usually partially underwater until mid May so please check if you plan to kayak you will use at your own risk. *:It’s too mucky to swim right off shore but you can Kayak out to the swimming area. Kayak use is allowed as long as waiver is signed. Closed toed/water shoes recommended . Potential for 4 guests which is tight, or more if part of your crew wanted to set up a tent.
*Fall/winter info:
Use of our guest bathroom is permitted during colder months -just ask!. Keep in mind, The only heat will be a 1500 watt heater.

We have about 35 acres and trails through the area for exploring. You just may come across some "forts" constructed by some of our grandchildren. There is a large fire pit and plenty of firewood for a minimal cost. (Large trash can full. ) If you listen in the evening, you are likely able to hear a couple of owls talking back and forth. Usually you can see some deer and maybe some turkeys. There are many old pines around the property, the last remnants of our Christmas tree farm.
There is no electricity in the cabin, but we do have two solar lights and some battery lights. If it's been rainy, the solar won't last as long as usual. If it's chilly, we do have a portable heater available.
We have cornhole game available upon request and some table games kept in cabin. If you want to go biking, there is a trail in town, about 5 miles away.

Only 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids, this property was established as a Youth Camp for 15 years is now a private event venue and campground, so it has nice amenities like FULL restrooms, a picnic shelter, and even a few small cabins that can be rented.
Cabins ARE SMOKE FREE and may not be used as kennels so please keep pets off furnature and don't leave them inside when you are gone. You must bring your own queen sheet set. Steam cleaning the mattress will be an extra charge.
Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away.
Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac)

Several fields are available as well as a small and large tent site along the river. Campers may park in the field.
We are located along the North Country Trail and only a few blocks from their office as well as a 10 min drive from the Kent county youth fairgrounds. 25 minutes to Ionia fairgrounds
There is several restaurants and breweries walking distance away, joined by a social district as well as several cannabis stores. A dollar store and ice cream shop are 2-3 blocks away. And a country style breakfast restaurant is next door.

This is such a fun and well kept site! We have stayed here before and will be back again in the future, I’m sure. The road to the campsite would not accommodate and rv, but for us camping out of the back of our truck, it was perfect! There is a nice little bathroom and a fire ring as well as a mosquito netting tent for eating dinner or just hanging out! Our dogs love the many trails through the woods. Definitely recommended!

I love this place! It's so quiet and peaceful and it's such a good feeling to be surrounded by nature with all the birds and butterflies. I love the area and it's in the perfect place for my summer travels. And the icing on the cake is Luke - Stephens loving dog that comes to visit all the campers to get as many pets - and different treats - as he can. I will always come back.

We loved camping at Matthew’s site! There were a handful of groups on the property but it’s big enough that we hardly crossed paths. The river was wonderful for fishing and we loved hearing the donkey and sheep in the distance. A short drive to town had everything we needed. Exceptional location, we will 100% be booking again!

10/10, highly recommend. This property is an absolute gem. The campsite is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and perfectly nestled right in the woods. The sites themselves are very private, offering a wonderful sense of total seclusion. To top it off, the hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. I would absolutely book this spot again!

We loved the stay.. firewood provided, peaceful, big open sky for star gazing at night, big flat area to camp on comfortably.. what more can you ask for. neighboring house to the property was super friendly and loved our dogs.

Weekend Trip to Vibe CAMP!

My girlfriend and I stayed at Kirk’s RV campsite while we were in town to see Billy Strings, and the whole experience was genuinely magical. The location was perfect. Not far from the concert, but tucked away enough that it felt like our own little piece of paradise.
Kirk was an awesome host: accommodating, fun, laid-back, great energy, and genuinely willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our RV had power, running water, a stove, and a fridge, so we had all the essentials while still getting the full camping experience.
The atmosphere was probably our favorite part. It’s the kind of place where hippies and rednecks can come together, crack a beer, listen to some music, enjoy the outdoors, and somehow all be on the same wavelength. 😂 Just good people, good energy, and good vibes all around.
If you’re coming through for a concert, an adventure, or just want somewhere unique to unplug for a while, Kirk’s place is a little slice of paradise. We’d absolutely stay again!

I love camping at Three Happy Turtles in Audrey’s land! The open fields lined with tall sunflowers is so beautiful as I tent camp in the back behind the barn where there is plenty of shade and partial sunlight. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and I feel very safe here. The price is perfect for my stay and I hope to have many more nights booked here in the future. I love that there are party lights strung up and firewood available if I need it. I have access to water, as well. St. John’s is not far away for shopping and food. It has plenty to offer. I’m also close enough to work to make staying possible. It’s truly been a pleasure to be out here among such friendly people.
