We are dog friendly, but all pets must be on a leash at all times, to respect other campers.
With the maps provided, feel free to walk our cut trails that wind throughout the property. Enjoy the serenity of our rippling creek, and watch for wildlife such as grouse, deer, bear, bobcat, elk, and more!
We do raise pheasants for release, so don't be shocked if you spook one up on the trail!
You can also hit the public trails next door on State Land and walk for miles and miles.
We are only 4.4 miles to and from I75, with easy access to Gaylord, Petoskey, Mackinac, and just down the road from downtown Wolverine and Indian River.

Jasper Moss is a glamping retreat experience located on the remote Bois Blanc Island, Michigan, where you can unplug, rest, retreat and rejuvenate while surrounded by untouched nature. Under The Oak on Hammond Bay is a new private camp site in a beautiful, wooded area between Rogers City and Cheboygan, Michigan. A short walk from our campsite will have your feet sinking into the sugar-sand beaches of Hammond Bay on Lake Huron. Go for a swim at popular Ocqueoc Falls, Michigan's Largest Waterfall in the Lower Peninsula. Hiking, Fishing, Boating, Kayaking, Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Swimming and Exploring are among the many wonders of a Northern Michigan vacation at "Under The Oak" on Hammond Bay. Nearby Attractions include 40 Mile Point Lighthouse, the Ocqueoc River, and the Black Mountain Recreation Area. Launch your boat at the Hammond Bay State Harbor located on the Sunrise Coast of Lake Huron, north of Rogers City near Cheboygan. Catch a ferry to Bois Blanc Island from Cheboygan or visit nearby Mackinaw City for a ferry ride to famous Mackinaw Island.
This unique camp site is located on a private lane just off US23 in Northern Michigan. Under The Oak on Hammond Bay is designed to accommodate small and large camping units with either a 30A or 50A electrical hook-up. We have a level back-in site with a picnic table and fire ring high speed WIFI included. Firewood can be purchased on site.
Self-contained RV Campers only with black and gray water tanks. Please, NO dogs.

Peterman Farm is a beautiful spot! It's a very peaceful location on a dead-end road with no neighbors near the farmhouse. The views are lovely: rolling hills, beautiful sunsets and visiting deer. This was the perfect place to camp. Don't miss out on this spot!

Exactly what we were looking for! The campsite was secluded, and the area is very well maintained. Cabins are available to rent on Airbnb which worked out great for my FIL who doesn’t have a camper. Bathrooms were clean and cute.. Showers were hot. Yard games were available to use. This has to be one of the best hipcamps we’ve been to! A lot of thought has been put into this, and we are grateful to have experienced it. Thanks Jean!

Jeannie & I loved Phil & Stormy's Place. It was quiet this time of year, and we were lucky to be the only folks at their Camp. They definitely had made it their own, and have great amenities. Firewood & Firepit, 30 amp service, a water hose , picnic table & dry kindling.. 2 Porta Potties on site, and a RV cleanout. Great Wooden games around the site for folks enjoyment. Phil is a world renown Game maker who makes Games and interesting items, which he makes in his shop on site. Sends it all around the world. Besides meeting Phil and Chit chatting, because we are both Hip Camp Hosts, Phil gave us a tour of his Shop and woodworking area. Pretty impressive. He was a great host, and is Passionate about Kubb, a Yard game that was originally played overseas, but because of Phi, brought the game to the US. He actually has his own playing field. We plan on visiting again, as we loved the vibe

This place is so cute! I didn’t have much time to explore, but the morning was so peaceful. The owners are very nice and welcoming too! Since I arrived late, they switched my site for easier car access and even helped me turn the car around because of my poor driving skills, haha. Highly recommend!

This place is new and still building. Very nice concrete pads with full hook up and wifi. It’s clean and very well managed. Greeted immediately and drove to our site. Even with the construction on the last section it was still enjoyable. My son would’ve loved watching the crane. It’s a beautiful area close to town and the elk park which we enjoyed.

Enjoyed camping on Jason's land. Lots of elbow room and easy pull in and set up. Nice little bathroom with shower available. Took our bikes into Alpena to ride some of the bike trails there and took a drive in the evenings in the Atlanta area in case we could see some Elk. Also nearby lakes to fish or kayak.

It was a cute little spot. Sites 1-3 are right together and would be perfect for a group! You’d be right together and the kids could play all around you. They had campfire wood at the spots and starting materials next to square picnic tables with umbrellas in them. The shower is an outdoor one and they had a porta potty for a bathroom but it was very clean. I would go there again. Our motorhome fit very nicely there.
