The Kozy Kabin is located in the woods of northern Michigan just a quarter mile away from the ORV trailhead. Surrounded by 1,000s of acres of state land just across the street, this is the perfect location for your outdoor getaway! There are dozens of amazing lakes nearby, too! Don't forget your ORVs, hunting gear, fishing poles, snowmobiles, boats, jet skis, kayaks, golf clubs, & the dogs! There is no shortage of outdoor activities to do when you're staying at the Kozy Kabin!
You'll have full access to the entire Kozy Kabin, minus the utility closet in the bathroom. If for any reason you need to access the electric panel in there, we are only 10 minutes away to come unlock it. The shed in the backyard does have a lock on it, and the key is hanging on the coat hook for use.
There are 1,000s of acres of state land directly across the street, great for hunting & exploring. The ORV trailhead is at the end of the street with some of the best trails for ATV's, dirt bikes, UTV's and snowmobiles. You can ride directly from the Kozy Kabin to the trails. There should be plenty of room to park your truck/trailer and additional cars in the driveway as well. Please do not ride in the yard, keep it on the trails. If there is any sign of riding in the yard, there will be an additional charge to your stay to repair the lawn.
Other things to note:
We do not currently have WiFi at the Kozy Kabin, but you are able to hook up the TV to a hotspot to use the smart TV/roku features.
Most cell providers get good service here.
There is no smoking or vaping inside of the Kozy Kabin, but you are welcome to smoke outside. Please do not dispose of cigarette butts on the ground. If there are any signs of smoking inside there will be an additional cleaning charge to your stay.
Dogs are always welcome, but please clean up after them. There is a designated poop shovel in or near the shed. Please do not leave any land mines in the yard, but the woods is fine!

A rustic, permalog style cabin that is suited to accommodate up to nine. This is a cabin to help disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our chaotic lives. There is limited cell signal, no internet and no local or cable channels. The cabin is pet friendly, as I believe our pets are an extension of our families and should get to vacation with everyone rather than boarded (dogs only are allowed). Primary source of heat is a propane wall furnace. There is an electric fireplace in the living room. In the summer there is a window AC unit at the cabin and a fan for the loft (it does get hot up there).
The cabin is very close (1/4 mile) to the AuSable River where you can easily launch boats, canoes and more. The ORV trail head is just a 1/4 mile down the road. This is also the perfect cabin for hunting, fishing, hiking and trail riding. Be sure to keep an eye out for an eagle or two. Also had deer tracks in the yard.
