Spacious, level camping well-suited for travel trailers over 40 ft long.

This 70-acre family farm perfect for a getaway! This peaceful, quiet homestead sits at the end of a dead-end road, bordered on both sides by the Black River and located close to the Atlanta State Forest and other recreational, hunting, and sporting areas in the region. At the campsite, you’ll find an appreciation for nature and the abundant wildlife that traverses the farm, along with dark skies, starry nights, and even the northern lights. It may remind you of your own family farm or your grandparents’ place up north. By becoming a guest on the property, you’re helping me accomplish my lifelong dream of restoring the old family homestead and preserving its history. Thank you for your visit — I encourage you to relax, breathe in the fresh air, and use the campsite as your launching point to explore everything this region has to offer.This is ONE RV spot with access for five (or more guests). Simple quiet campsite in the barn yard of a hay field. The camp site offers peace, quiet, the opportunity for beautiful night skies, gorgeous fall maple stands, and viewing wildlife such as elk, deer and turkeys. The camp ground is a convenient launching point for activities in the region such as access to public hunting, nearby fishing, access to trails. There is 30 amp RV plug in, 20 amp standard plug in. The pad is packed and leveled, you can back in, pull in or pull through. Rvs must be self contained at this time. This is a simple campground with just the basics, the price reflects that. Welcome to the camp site, enjoy your stay, enjoy the elk bugles and relax. 30 amp RV plug and standard 20 amp available at the meter base. Porto-John is offered for guest convince. Not potable water is available from the tank and firewood is available for a small fee.

Pull-through site

One can pull all the way through and flip around or pull in and back out. Should be enough room to give a wide berth. There is another long term camper on site, the setup favors smaller rigs but if you need to put your tires in the hay field when backing in or out, that would be fine.

Firewood provided. Fires are allowed, there is firewood provided. Please consider leaving a firewood donation in the black box.

Off leash. There are wildlife and contractors around the property, also family lives in the main house. You are responsible for your dogs behavior.

Potable water available

Tap. Water cistern is filled from the home tap, barley straw is used to prevent algae or other growth. Use at your own caution, when in doubt please filter. I drink from the cistern.

Bins available

Trash bin. There are two trash bins, one at the main house and one in the barn yard. If it is not present in the barn yard, you may deposit trash into the burn barrel by the camp site. Do not burn it, staff will take care of that. If bins are already full, do not overfill please.

Picnic table present

No showers

If you have a self contained shower or outdoor shower you may use it. I do not have a grey water dump site at this time.

Peterman Farm is a beautiful spot! It's a very peaceful location on a dead-end road with no neighbors near the farmhouse. The views are lovely: rolling hills, beautiful sunsets and visiting deer. This was the perfect place to camp. Don't miss out on this spot!
