We are a small bar and grill 12 miles west of Crivitz WI. Conveniently located right on the ATV and Snowmobile trails. There are plenty of lakes and steams for the avid fisherman. We are located just a few miles east of the Nicolet National Forest. We have great food and always a friendly atmosphere. So come on up and join us for a relaxing week or just a weekend.Camp in our nicely furnished tent cabins, Site #1 ( Bri's Hideaway) is furnished with a queen bed, love seat and refrigerator. Norm's Log Cabin started out as a back 40 acre camp from the 1970's. Hunting is not Allowed on Property. Over the years we have taken time to make some improvements. We have acquire additional adjoining property and run some electricity. We have pieced together 160 contiguous acres over the years, and continue to manage the property as a family gathering location as well as doing some occasional log harvesting. This is the place to get away from it all, but still be in striking distance to several attractions. A full service restaurant in La Branch which is a short 12 minute drive SE, and a local hang out called the Red Arrow which is a 5 minute drive NW. The Cabin sits at the end of a long 1/4 mile driveway in the middle of the 160 acre plot of trees. You need to cross Anderson Creek, and drive past another hunting camp near the front entrance. This front 40 acre camp (Anderson Creek Camp) is another more rustic option then Norm's Log Cabin. The road leading to this driveway off of Highway 69 is near the village of Hardwood. Along Highway 69 is a snowmobile/ORV trail managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and can be easily reached via the gravel road to/from camp. That specific trail is designated as A, and runs the length of Highway 69 and intersects ORV trail AG which would bring you into Escanaba. There is many and frequent ORV activity on this trail, and there are many stopping points for refreshments along the way. Hardwood Impoundment Pond is the closest body of water to Norm's Log Cabin, and can be reached by car or ATV. This impoundment pond is really the back waters of a local dam in the area, and can be fished from the bank or off the bridge that goes across the area. Very easily reachable. Again this is just a place to get away from it all and take in the outdoors. We can supply some ideas of places to visit . . .

It is only 8 minute drive from Norway, MI, and a 15 minute drive from Niagara, WI and a 20 minute drive from Iron Mountain, MI. Snowmobile and ATV trails are around the corner. Fishing, Hiking, skiing, and golfing are just a short drive away. Public boat launch on the Menominee river 5 miles away. Enjoy a secluded week or weekend of relaxation full of activities. Newer 3-bedroom, 2 bath home located on a private lane close to Niagara, WI and Norway, MI. Fully furnished and decorated. Open concept kitchen and living room. Living room has a wood fireplace (wood provided on deck). Cathedral ceilings with tongue and grove knotty pine, central air, and large deck with a cover and outdoor sitting. Enjoy outdoor cooking with a propane grill and wind down at night around the campfire in the yard (wood provided) or on the deck with a propane fire pit. We are available via phone, txt or email for your convenience. Enjoy the local towns of Norway, Mi, Niagara, WI, Pembine, WI and Iron Mountain, MI. Golf courses, waterfalls, fishing lakes, beaches, parks, and kayaking are 5 to 20 minutes away. For winter fun, skiing at Norway Moutain is only an 8 minute drive, while Pine Mountain is a 20 min drive. You can snowshoe, CC ski and hike onsite or on public land nearby. ATV & Snowmobiling trail access is 3 mins away. Our group had an amazing time camping on Matt’s land! He was extremely accommodating and was kind enough to show us around the property to ensure our event would work out on his property. There was plenty of firewood for us to purchase and use throughout the weekend, and Matt was very responsive and helpful when we needed to reach out. I highly recommended Maple Creek Farms for your stay—it is beautiful, private, and spacious!

Yvonne’s campsite was wonderful! The bathrooms were clean the spot was spacious with a fire ring and picnic table, as well as the electric ports. We were able to buy plenty of wood for cheap for our campfires. We had a great time. We went fishing in the lake and even though we didn’t catch anything it was still cool even walking in the water and seeing how clear and beautiful it was. A great spot to stargaze at night. The owners were wonderful and seem to be passionate about using their time at Vagabond to give people wonderful memories.

Sporley lake was beautiful and the hosts parents Ann & Tony made the trip unforgettable! We arrived in the rain and they were kind enough to invite us into their home to ride out the storm. They gave us a lot of good information about the area and places to visit during our stay. They were also just a lot of fun to hangout with and talk to. 10/10 will be going back next year!

Beautiful secluded area. We saw and heard deer and bear driving in and during our stay. Cabin was roomy with a divider wall and two sleeping areas. Full kitchen well supplied. Large bathroom with shower. Nice firepit area. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Highly recommend.

For the LADIES this campground has clean bathrooms and showers, THAT’s the reason why I came to this campground. Has real potential and you can see the owner is working on projects. It was fine for making a night as we cruise through the area. It wasn't clear what we had access to, but it was late and chilly. There was no phone service or phone wifi here. Made for a nice night listening to nature. Luvkily the owner kept lots of cleaning supplies in the bathroom....
