You'll be camping on our Stanley lake sugarbush property. Lakefront sites have power and water - are located in a grassy clearing on the shores of Stanley Lake. ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES ON PROPERTY!! Primitive sites are amongst the maple trees of our sugarbush operation, within walking distance of the lake. These sites do not yet have water or electricity, but water is available from spigots at the lake clearing. Stanley lake is just shy of 400 acres, known for walleye and bass. It is an all sports lake with no limited wake hours. Feel free to roam our woods - you will notice the blue maple lines come to an end at our east and west property lines, as well as a no trespassing sign on the lake clearing to the west line. Deer here are plentiful, and you can often get them to eat from your hand, provided you have apples. Iron county has a tremendous ORV/snowmobile trail system. You can drive your machine right from our property to the trails. There are two golf courses in the area, as well as a vast bicycle trail system. It is recommended you park up on top and walk the short distance down. ATV/UTV are fine going down to the creek campsite. Weekend Trip to River View Get Away

Kathy was amazing! We decided to take a chance and tent camp in late October. The site is very peaceful and she built firewood up for our first fire upon arrival. We left many things behind on the days we traveled to fish or hike with no worries. The river and woods are peaceful. Appreciate the water she leaves to clean hands and cookware! Great location and bring your mountain bikes! Joni and Phil were very welcoming. The sights were private and spacious. We were in our camper van and had plenty of room next to a fire pit and picnic table. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. What we didn’t know about was all the wonderful bike trails adjacent to the property. We did have our mountain bike and took advantage of.

Weekend Trip to Da Sugarbush on Stanley Lake

Silver Maple tent site has abundant room including two picnic tables. Surroundings offered a flat tent space, lovely tall trees to hear the wind’s rustle leaves and look up at the canopy above with mesh ceiling. Near a pit outhouse, bonus. Just a brief gravel road to beautiful wood showers and more amenities like an outdoor sink with faucet, Starlink internet and dock at lakeside for stargazing or other fun. Welcoming hosts, just look for gravel road turn by handful mailboxes before/after Wicklund (don’t turn there). You’ll know the entry point from seeing blue property lines. Look forward to a return trip!!

Fairway Field was a great spot at Heritage Hills farm. It was large, level and very private. Phil met us as we arrived and showed us exactly where to park. Despite rain all day the grassy site was not soft and we were able to pull out in the morning without any problems.

Yvonne’s campsite was wonderful! The bathrooms were clean the spot was spacious with a fire ring and picnic table, as well as the electric ports. We were able to buy plenty of wood for cheap for our campfires. We had a great time. We went fishing in the lake and even though we didn’t catch anything it was still cool even walking in the water and seeing how clear and beautiful it was. A great spot to stargaze at night. The owners were wonderful and seem to be passionate about using their time at Vagabond to give people wonderful memories.
