The Haven camp site and wedding venue began in 2022, with a slow start; but as we jumped into the 2023 season, we made quite a bit of changes and ended the year with great success by: meeting new people and having many people come back for their second and third times! We strive to share the property that God has graciously blessed us with. The Haven is 3 acres of beautiful land on the St Joseph River. Our property setting is a hidden gem that opens to the most beautiful natural setting. The land offers a gorgeous view of the river and numerous shady sites nestled underneath a giant array of oak beach and walnut trees. Here at The Haven, the property has ample space for parking, room for various size camping tents and small pop-up tents small RV's, A dock for fishing, and access for kayaking. Fire pits and grill area for cooking and a complimentary bucket with some goodies to start you off. This setting is perfect for camping in a private nestled nook on the river. We have more than one area on the property to choose from. You can choose any site you would like: From the River’s edge, Beach Area (site 1) Small RV and tent site, or on the River under The Canopy of trees (site2) small RV and tent site. You also can stay at the Cozy corner (Site 3) by the woods and river in our new addition: Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents as well, Or The Cove by the woods, small camper, and tent (site 4).
Come Stargaze or hangout at the “spot” (dock) comfortably and lounge with views on the water or sit by the campfire at “The Pit.”
Every site is first come first serve. Book earlier to get your desired spot!
Bring your toys and play in the great outdoors! We have corn hole toss, horseshoe toss, but if you have toys you can use them here, throw the football or play some volleyball or Tether ball whichever and soon we will have Frisbee Golf! Or rent some of our Kayaks and really enjoy the river! Don’t miss out book now!
-If smoking or drugs are discovered on the property the whole group will be asked to leave with NO REFUND. NO EXCEPTIONS. Alcohol will be at the owner’s discretion upon arrival. Home Sweet Home, tucked in the heart of agriculture and lake life, Angola is a wonderful small town in the north east corner of Indiana. Songdog Meadows is our little piece of joy, from morning swims in the pond, long walks with our retrievers and sunsets to take your breath away, it is truly and deeply a treasure we cherish. The property host a variety of apple trees, open grass land, and a large cluster of trees surrounding a 3/4 acre pond, while being surrounded by wood lots on three sides and open fields to the west. It is truly a peaceful haven in a rural country area. Learn more about this land:Hang your hammock or pitch a tent just outside our 3/4 acre pond. There are two basins with a channel and a peaceful tree filled grass area between. The pond is in the corner of the 10 acre lot where we live at the end of a dirt road with only a small amount of traffic. The camp site is walk in on mowed pathways, with the driveway and parking area less than 200 yards away. There is a security light so you will never be in complete darkness. A stone fire pit and picnic table sit just off shore of the swimming area of the pond. There are several wide mowed pathways surrounded by prairie grasses, shaded by large trees. The area can easily handle several tents, hammocks and small RVs. The area is rural farm land with a handful of houses on the short dirt road. But this property is surrounded by wood lots and open fields. Two neighbors houses are visible but separated by trees. Our house is visible from the pond and camping area.

This fun property is just under 7 acres - butted up to another 12 acres of public land (and boat launch) with trails, boardwalk and a dock on 51 acre Lake Eleven.
The property is shared by (2) full-hook up RV sites and a cabin. If available, the cabin and sites may be rented together however the owners, Jim and Maria, use the cabin much of the summer leaving just the RV sites available.
The property is at mile market 13 of the Kal-Haven Trail - the midpoint. The Kal-Haven Trail is a biking, cross-country skiing, walking, running, snowmobiling - you name it, the trail that goes 34 miles from Kalamazoo to South Haven. Literally steps from the property and you are on the trail.
But you may not need to leave the property, with 6.3 acres of woods and field, with trail cut through PLUS the added public lands butted up to Tincan's property line, giving almost 20 acres to roam.
Each RV site - far enough apart to be separate, close enough if you and friends/family want to camp together, has a fire pit and fireplace. Each RV site offers water, 30|50AMP electrical and septic.
The dock may have availability for keeping you boat - please inquire. There are kayaks and some bikes (mostly teen and adult size) that may be used. These are shared amenities for the cabin and campsite guests and offered on a first come, first serve basis.
There are surprises galore around the property; big foots to be found tucked around the property, games, and overall just a fun place to be.
This was a run-down fishing cabin Jim and Maria lovingly brough back to life as a second home and they delight in sharing it. Jim often referred to it as "The Tincan" while working on it as it was - indeed, a tin shack and the name stuck.
Kate, your booking coordinator, helps Jim and Maria tend to the administrative side of getting the property booked and keeping the details in order. Once booked you'll get contact info for Kate, who will take care of most communications and logistics, and Jim/Maria who will also be available to help as needed.

With Amish farms and families all around. The Mirror Lake Bunkhouse has all amenities. You are welcome to cook over an open fire, use the grill or the small kitchen accessories provided. don’t forget the option is always available to go out to dinner with a restaurant only 4 miles away. Although we are located in the middle of the country. You can wake up to beautiful sunrises or take in breath taking sunset in the evening. The lake is a private lake owned by three property owners. Our Cabin # 2 “Old Phil” Is located on the west side of the lake in a 15 acre woods. About 1-1/2 miles away is Our cabin # 1 “Little Elk” Is located near the little Elkhart River. Nestled in its own 10 acre woods. Both of these properties are primitive ( no running water in an out house for a bathroom). Firewood is provided and there are trails in the woods to walk. The Mirror lake property has been a family farm for over 185 years. There is a family cemetery that dates to 1832. If you want to be around a lot of people in the fast track this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, tranquil, social distance but still enjoyed this is the place for you!

The property was originally owned by a family name Nichols (thus the name of the lake). It was handed down to the sons who each owned half the property. The driveway down the middle of property that leads to the lake was originally a fence line that divided the two pieces of property. The brothers did not get along and their are several stories of their warring on how to maintain the property.My parents bought this piece of property in 1964 and created a camp called "Lakeside Farm Camp", a small all boys camp. The camp has gone through several changes since then but has always been owned by the Edwards family. In 1984 the name was changed to "Cedar Lodge" a coed camp that specializes in English horseback riding and offering high level general camp activities. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our totally private fresh water lake. Take your boat out for a day of fishing or just chill next to the fire. Sites are approximately 50 feet from each other.
