We currently have a one-room, wood stove warmed, cozy sleeping loft for one or two - with two benches below on either side of room - for two sleeping bags; plus, a separate 22 foot Sioux tipi with two cots. There are two chairs in the tipi, which if removed at night, make floor room for four other sleeping bags. 'Forest Bathing' for miles! If you're a larger group booking Salamander Hollow main camp with its Sleeping Library, Tipi & Slovenian Beehive House, you might consider renting this additional Tiny Cabin want to entertain all in glamping style, utilizing its amenities; as well, providing another bathroom/shower and guest bedroom for those who prefer being indoors while in the great outdoors. For those interested in the glamping side of camping, you will enjoy a remote rustic experience with a few creature comforts to keep you well read, clean and fed. Here is where we envision a great touch-point area for those leading groups to be for a base-camp by day or night, where eventually a multi-use tenting platform/performance stage will be constructed for outdoor entertainment, creating an authentic 'stadium style' seating on the hill. You will see on your way up to Salamander Hollow main clearing - the Kula Bata Tiny Kabin on the left of the dirt road- now available to rent with its small guest room for two, infrared sauna, hot shower, kitchenette, dishwasher and laundry.

Follow us on Instagram @shitefootfarms As always we are excited and can't wait to share our place with you! We are a small farmette with goats, chickens, ducks, fruits, veggies, and Irish Wolfhounds. The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site. Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species. The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent. Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!! We are a 48-acre historic, conservation fiber farm smack in the middle of Rhode Island-in an area that was once all farmland. We are a bit of a holdover-and we take our stewardship role of this farming legacy quite seriously. Despite our glorious natural setting, we are actually very close to all the places people want to visit in RI-including Providence (15 minutes), Newport (30 minutes) beaches (15-40 depending on which one you chose) and a bunch of parks and hiking areas (15-45 minutes max). We are also near Ct and Mass-so a good home base for all kinds of exploring! Stays are limited to three nights.

Weekend Trip to Winimusett Farm

A friend and I stayed here over the weekend in mid-November. We enjoyed our trip, the cabin is cozy, and Misty was very communicative and helpful! The directions were thorough, and we had no problem using the cabin. Outside temperature was ~28-45°F, but the wood stove was very effective and the cabin became very toasty. One thing to note is that the solar-powered battery banks had little charge. The string lights only worked for 20 minutes on our first night, and their battery banks did not recharge the next day. The large solar-powered battery bank that powered the lamp in the corner had only about 6 hours of charge. We're guessing that the weak fall sun, combined with cloudy conditions, meant these battery banks didn't fully charge. This might be something to consider when packing for a fall/winter trip. We're glad we brought flashlights, a rechargeable lamp, and some pillar candles. We also brought our own kitchen supplies; not sure what to expect, but there were plenty of utensils, cookware, etc., even if we hadn't brought our own. The floor needed a little sweep when we arrived, but everything else was clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Jody and Keith’s site was beautiful. The stove in the tent kept it cozy throughout the autumn night. They provided a garden cart to transport our things which was helpful. The air mattress was as comfortable as an air mattress can be. Jody and Keith recommended that we bring lights, since we were arriving after sunset, but we foolishly overestimated the power of our phone flashlights. So definitely bring a few lanterns. I would definitely stay again. It was beautiful by the river.

Awesome place, 10/10. My friend and I had a great night at the cabin. Huge property. Cabin is up on the hill. Well out-fitted. Great big open space down below. The hill is non-trivial, but Eric helped us bring up some of our gear in his tractor. Eric was very friendly, and Misty (with whom I communicated with messaging) was also very friendly and responsive. This was my first experience with HipCamp and it was excellent. Highly recomment.

Beautiful, tucked away cabin in a quiet and romantic area! It was absolutely stunning (especially with the New England fall leaves!). We loved the wood-burning stove and super comfy couch and bed for a weekend away! Misty has everything you might need — just prepare for a bit of a short hike to the top of the hill for the cabin. I had to switch into my hiking boots, as the hill is steep. We didn’t have a chance to explore the trails, but we would love to return for another visit and magical weekend!

This was a beautiful spot! Nice fields with some level areas and a good spot for a fire pit. The pond with doc was nice as well. The host was very nice and helpful. Only thing is the hill climb to the cabin was much steeper than we expected.

beautiful, restful, only bring what u can carry down a bumpy, rocky, hilly half mile, bring water, wood, lights. my dog and i were very content. the heater wood stove was hard to figure out, glad it wasn't colder. the latrine situation was also confusing. i was not prepared to pack out my trash, sadly. I'll be better prepared when we come again, maybe for a few days next time. The tent, bed, platform, site were clean, comfy and inviting. would still be comfy w more people. the full moon on the brook at night was intoxicating ♡ thanks for letting me reserve so late and last minute!! k n maya

If you're looking for a place of rest and peace, this is it! I traveled to Mary's property with my husband, two children (11 and 9), and two large dogs (Newfies). We had plenty of space, lots of privacy, and such a comfortable stay. Each of us wished we could have spent more time here! We rented the beehive cabin, library, and tipi. The cabin was plenty spacious for my whole crew and was so cozy and comfy. We slept very well, even on a futon! The library was the kids' favorite hangout. The outdoor kitchen was awesome, and even though our wood-fired pizzas looked terrible (don't forget flour!), they were fun to make and tasted great. Our pups appreciated being able to be off lead for the first time on our New England road trip. We made the most of every square inch of Mary's space. From a yoga workout on the meditation platform, to s'mores around the fire pit, there's something for everyone here!

If you’re looking for a place of peace and rest, this is it! I traveled to Mary’s property with my husband, children (11 and 9), and two large dogs (Newfies). The cabin was plenty spacious for all of us, providing us great sleep, even on a futon! The library was the kids’ favorite place to relax and kick back. The outdoor kitchen was awesome, and even though our wood-fired pizzas looked awful (don’t forget flour to prevent sticking! 😅), they were fun to make and tasted great. We used just about every inch of the camp. I got in a morning yoga session on the meditation platform, and we roasted s’mores by the fire pit at night. Amenities and activities were close by, too! We hiked the Tully Mountain Loop Trail, and the views were beautiful! If you’re considering a visit, don’t hesitate! Both Mary and her property are one of a kind.

This site is a dream. Jae will send you a list of nearby attractions to visit but you will not at all want to leave the magic of the A-frame. The spot is perfectly secluded, simultaneously buried in the woods and full of sunlight, quiet and clean — it was the most rejuvenating weekend escape from the city (my partner and I both slept better than we have in a long time!) The citronella torches kept the mosquitos away, the toilet was easy and clean, and Jae gives you everything you might need (toilet paper, camp stove, water for drinking, water for washing, etc). Will be recommending this site to all of my friends!! Thank you Jae!

Our stay was the perfect reset and refresh we needed! The A frame was super cozy and had all the essentials and then some. It was the perfect mix of peaceful seclusion while still being just a short walk or drive from anything we needed. Jae was a great host, giving us complete privacy but remaining reachable if anything came up. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot.
