Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock. The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Thank you for a great 2025 season, as our 6th season closes, we still maintain a few sites for late Fall/early Winter (tent & van/camper sites)! Enjoy the Vermont Countryside year round. Our farm is nestled along a country road between several other farms, mostly horses and a special needs/therapy farm, we are hobby farmers/homesteaders. The Guilford Fairgrounds is less than 1/4 mile away and has many hiking and biking trails. The land was originally part of a colonial Glebe Trust with the Church of England and divided up, the original 100+ year farmhouse and barn can be seen from many of the campsites. Guilford, Vermont is located in the southeast of Windham County, resting along the Massachusetts border to the south and New Hampshire not far to the east. A community with a long and interesting history, Guilford was actually Vermont’s largest town as long ago as 1790. Now, with a population of about 2,100, its by no means considered a large community yet with its beautiful old covered bridges, churches, and one-room schoolhouse, Guilford maintains an unmistakable sense of history while at the same time having a reputation as one of the truly unique small communities in southern Vermont. Guilford has some of the most quintessential small town landmarks in all of Vermont. Sites like the Christ Church, Broad Brook House, and Guilford Center Meeting House were all built in the early 19th Century and are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven. There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Hardwick also has a winery- Hardwick Vineyard and Winery, they have all kinds of events, (find them on facebook) and, check out Lost Towns brewery- the name is a throwback to the 4 towns that were submerged to create the Quabbin Reservoir! Medicine River Pow Wow is in August here in Gilbertville, on River Run Rd. The East Quabbin Land Trust has birdwatching and fabulous views, and the Mass Central Rail Trail entrance is located here. Bike it or hike it! Quabbin Reservoir is close by for boating and fishing. There are free concerts in Grenville Park in Ware, (check for dates). Ware also has Janine’s Frostee ice cream and fast foods- and live music on weekend nights! Also check out these on line: Ragged Hill orchard and Rock House Reservation in West Brookfield, and Carter and Stevens farm in Barre. The Leicester, and Mendon movie drive-in’s. Old Sturbridge village is 30 minutes away. Lake Lashaway has a swimming area in East Brookfield, right off of Rte 9. It’s about 20 minutes from here. Lake Siog in Holland has a lovely picnic area and beach for swimming. (30 mins South from here) Is this area great or what?!

We had a great time at the pond view campsite! Anthony was so kind and helped us bring all of our gear up and brought firewood up to us several times. The pond view was a little less dramatic than we were expecting but it was still a beautiful area and very private. Another note is that it was just us two single girls this weekend and we felt very safe. It was nice to know there was a family nearby if we needed them. All in all, we definitely recommend this site and would come back!

Weekend Trip to Heaven Sent Barn!

We overnighted here for my sons birthday fishing trip. 3x 13 year olds and dad. Jocelyn was an amazing host. Super friendly and approachable. The barn is a great place for cold nights and rain. It’s a great way to plan a camping trip without worrying about rain or weather. If you are into trout/small mouth fishing the Natchaug is right across the street and there are many many walks all around. Great location will definitely be back again!

This place was amazing, very private site super quiet at night and the animals were a bonus. Really wish we had more time but were only in town for a wedding, can’t say anything bad about this place. The surrounding area has lots of trails and looked very nice. Definitely would stay again if we are in the area.

We stayed at the hilltop site with our campervan and family joined us with their RV as well. The four of us and our two dogs had a very pleasant time. It was nice to have a fire pit and picnic bench available to use, and our neighbors were a fair distance away for a bit of privacy. Very quiet and peaceful there, and conveniently located if you’re planning to go to apple fest at wachusett mountain.

We really enjoyed camping on Robert’s land. The spot is stunning! We’d highly recommend this site. Please be aware that the site is hilly (which is a part of its appeal) so you may need to spend a little time leveling your camper. Well worth the time.

Really nice thick grass to pitch the tents. The duck eggs were really good, highly recommend them. The outhouse was nice and clean and had automatic lighting at night. The goats and chickens came by in the mornings to feed and check us out. A really friendly, well behaved dog came by at night and loved attention. Everyone on the trip wanted to camp there again.

The tent camping area was really cool. Could hear a wide array of wildlife at night. A fire pit was set up with stump seats that we loved winding down the night at. Stayed here for quality access to Farley Ledges and wasn’t disappointed.

Our night spent at Quentin’s treehouse was beyond phenomenal. Pictures don’t do the treehouse and the view justice and Quentin truly went above and beyond as a host! From helping us start a fire to coffee in the morning, to the thoughtfully available items such as an extra sleeping bag and cookware on site, I can’t recommend this Hipcamp enough. Without a doubt my favorite I’ve ever stayed at!
