2 nights at Atland Artist Residency

Beautiful property. Quiet and peaceful. We stayed two nights in the tent, which was comfortable and all set up for us with clean bedding and flashlights. We enjoyed the hot outdoor shower, the very cold and drinkable water at the sink area. The best part (since we stayed during a heatwave) was the river at the end of their driveway which was so cool and peaceful. We enjoyed visiting Williamsburg and Northampton, which were not far. We loved staying here and love supporting their space for artists.

This is a nice little place to spend the night if you’re going through the area. This little spot is private, has a nice clear pond, full of frogs and ducks and red wing blackbirds. Also has a nice little stream running behind it. You can take a little bit of a walk on a short trail. There’s a little bit of shade and a little bit of sun, depending on where you park. You may want to bring mosquito repellent once the mosquitoes are active. I stayed at the spot mid May and there were no mosquitoes. I also stayed at it at the end of June and there were plenty of them! It’s a nice quiet spot. Gus answered all my questions and was very easy to work with.

Weekend Trip to Secluded Stays At Quill Nook Farm

I absolutely loved my tent camping stay at Alison and Tristons Riverwalk campsite !! They were more than accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed, checked in on the first and last day of my stay, and also gave me some trails and swimming spots while staying on the property! The site itself was beautiful, clean, shaded toward the end of the day, and perfectly accessible ( as a solo camper in a smaller vehicle) The trail that leads down to the river with the swing is enchanting and breathtaking. Truly a beautiful spot to relax and explore. The community bathroom was clean and actually pretty cozy ( with the single wall, floor to ceiling, mini library) It was nice having a sanitary place to use the bathroom, accessible running water, a spigot to fill water jugs, and a place to charge things while there. You can tell Alison and Triston have put so much time into their land, working hard to make it a beautiful, relaxing, getaway kind of place to be. There’s so much to do and explore on their 200 acres and they are more than happy to share it! They are great people with a true gem of property and I’m so grateful they share it with all of us! I will 1000% be back to stay and explore some more !! Also Oliver, their farm dog, is an awesome dude ! 3 nights at Hickory Ridge

We had an amazing camping experience here! Willis was super welcoming and gave us some great recs for bike paths in the area. The shaded area was perfect, and the walking trails on the property were a lovely bonus. We felt safe and private the whole time. One tip: bring a thermacell! It was a total lifesaver when it came to bugs, they're inevitable outdoors, but it made a huge difference. We also appreciated the large sink for washing dishes. Overall, we'd definitely recommend this spot!

We have stayed at Maple Ridge for the second year in a row for our organization's annual bike camping trip. Anthony is such an accommodating and welcoming host, and the property has everything we need for a great camping experience! The Field View site offers a great communal feel for a large group with plenty of spots to still tuck your tent away and find some privacy.

We had a wonderful time here. The campsite we were in was private and quiet. There were various trails to explore on site. It is central to many fun activities like hiking Mt Greylock, waterfalls, the bike path as well as close to Adams and North Adams. Great experience!

We had a wonderful experience at this site. Roxanne could not have been more informative and helpful. The site is conveniently located near South Deerfield where we enjoyed some delicious breakfasts at Leo's Table. The site was perfect for our large family tent and it was nice to have access to a toilet, sink, and shower. The views of the mountains and farm fields were stunning and I'm convinced the corn grew several inches over the three days we were there. Great site; great host; great location.

2 nights at Secluded Stays At Quill Nook Farm

Had a really great time during this trip! The land is really beautiful with fun exploration options. There were multiple people staying on the property when we were there and it had a great community feel. Also plenty of space to do solitary activities if that is your preference. We also got a great little homesteading tour. Definitely hope to go back!

Weekend Trip to Secluded Stays At Quill Nook Farm

Tristan was very kind and available and made sure we knew that we could let him know if we needed anything at anytime! The pond campsite was private, however, not extremely secluded (not that it claimed to be, but just to give you a sense of the experience) From the site, nothing (the bathroom/parking spots/other campsites) is visible except for part of the house, but you are not actually that far away from any of those things. So, there’s a sense of privacy but also a sense that you are not too secluded from the other campers and the host’s family. The bathroom was clean and easy to access, and was a great showcase of awesome moths from the outside light! In the pond, there are tons of newts, peepers, bullfrogs, and dragonflies, so it delightfully was not super buggy- would definitely still be prepared with bug spray but the standing water didn’t add to the bugginess as we were worried it might. Oliver (their dog) was very well behaved and was not a bother. He visited the site once in the morning but pretty much minded his own business. We did play with him for a bit but we are both not dog people so we appreciated that he wasn’t super “in your face.” All in all great experience and would recommend!

7 nights at Private campsites miles of trails!

This was my second visit to Christian's Hipcamp and I hope to be back again! The site is very private and quiet and has everything you need, plus we love getting to visit the horses. The grocery store is only 5 minutes away when you need to stock up and there are tons of hiking trails and outdoor activities around - plus a beautiful view of Mt. Greylock right from the farm. We look forward to many return trips!

Seclusion at Sunder Falls

After moving here in late 2017, I knew I found a place that I wanted to share with others. This is the manifestation of that desire, and I hope you’ll love it as much as I do! If you think you’d enjoy camping with panoramic privacy and a small private waterfall, Camp Sunder falls couldn’t be more perfect. This brand new campsite is only a few hundred feet from the house along a mulched path, yet feels as though you’ve stepped into a storybook. There is a second secluded camping area in the forest here called Camp Boulderwood, which is very beautiful, and has a 10x16 tenting area, but has no waterfall. We are located at the very edge of the small city of Keene, New Hampshire, yet nestled in 368 acres of continuous protected forest. When you book Camp SUNDER FALLS (Site 1) it includes two tenting areas. Both can accommodate tents of about 7x8’ comfortably, with one being about 20’ from the falls, and the other close by, nestled in gigantic boulders, and adjacent to some baby falls, with a dish-washing area with potable water. The fire area is about a minute walk uphill, and has seating for 5, as well as about 10 tiki torches to help keep the bugs at bay. Fuel is available for purchase. Enjoy a glampish rain and bug-free experience 15 feet from Sunder Falls in a PROVIDED 9x9’ bug tent! Mood lighting and a petite picnic table with comfortable chairs complete this serene setting. REMOVABLE Wind/rain panels offer additional protection from the elements, should inclement weather occur. Camp BOULDERWOOD, (Forested site 2) has a partially sunny 10x16’ tent site about a 1/5 mile trek into the forest, with a fire pit, chairs, water for drinking/dishes, bathroom, and tiki torches, and nothing but forest all around you. You will have access to almost a mile of private meandering paths leading through quintessential New England landscape. Enjoy a walking meditation alongside a rocky stream before ascending to the edge of an evergreen forest. See if you can spot the trail-side jumbo quartz embedded in the earth. You’ll find a trailhead to Robinhood park 1/4 mile from the house, which connects to a 4+ mile trail network. Robinhood has a lovely pond, picnic areas, tennis, and a playground. Across the street from this trailhead is an entrance to the Northfield cemetery. This 78 acre sanctuary includes many acres of protected wetlands, ancient trees, the best sunsets in town, and lovely streams. Tour the town’s murals, hike up Mt. Maple Ridge Farm

Welcome 2025, this is our 6th season hosting campers! Enjoy all Summer has to offer in the Vermont Countryside yet closer than you think. Our farm is nestled along a country road between several other farms, mostly horses and a special needs/therapy farm, we are hobby farmers/homesteaders. We have three sites open anytime, during camping season (May thru October), they’re all three tent camping sites but after that closes down for the season (November 1st) we open up for camper vans and small trailers (also in early Spring). The Guilford Fairgrounds is less than 1/4 mile away and has many hiking and biking trails. The land was originally part of a colonial Glebe Trust with the Church of England and divided up, the original 100+ year farmhouse and barn can be seen from many of the campsites. Guilford, Vermont is located in the southeast of Windham County, resting along the Massachusetts border to the south and New Hampshire not far to the east. A community with a long and interesting history, Guilford was actually Vermont’s largest town as long ago as 1790. Now, with a population of about 2,100, Guilford is by no means considered a large community. Yet with its beautiful old covered bridges, churches, and one-room schoolhouse, Guilford maintains an unmistakable sense of history while at the same time having a reputation as one of the truly unique small communities in southern Vermont. Guilford has some of the most quintessential small town landmarks in all of Vermont. Sites like the Christ Church, Broad Brook House, and Guilford Center Meeting House were all built in the early 19th Century and are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. These buildings are found in what is considered the historic Guilford Center; shop for great local products at the Guilford Country Store, visit the charming Guilford Free Library, or even see some of the exhibits at the Guilford Historical Society Museum to learn more about the area and its history. Fox Farm is located on 8 magical acres in eclectic Brattleboro, VT. Pitch your tent in a sacred private white pine forest or closer to the trail-head with access to a charcoal grill, a huge fire circle and a picnic table. If you prefer a roof over your head, check Fox Farm Cottage @ Fox Farm. Located ideally on a trail-head that leads to the West River Trail (a 36-mile scenic trail through the West River Valley – eventually linking Brattleboro, Dummerston, Newfane, Townshend, Jamaica and South Londonderry) and the West River, offering opportunities to hike, fish, swim, ski, snow shoe and bike. The Marina Bar and Restaurant is a 2 mile hike or bike ride from the camp site (via the West River Trail) and is a fun way to see the beauty of Vermont and partake in some excellent indoor/outdoor dining with views of the water. Currently there are two areas available to campers; The Pine Forest and the Council of the Elders. The Pine Forest is a shaded circular area that is very spiritual and quiet. There are currently 3 camp sites in the Pine Forest. The Council of the Elders is a more open (again circular) area that abuts The Pine Forest and has a large fire pit as it's centerpiece, surrounded by the Elder Pine trees. I have had up to 2 campers and an occasional van/camper at the Council of the Elders. I have most recently had requests to book the entire Pine Forest for guests who are traveling together and want privacy- and Ido my best to work with people to accommodate any needs. Please bring your own firewood if you intend to have a fire. I offered wood to guests in the past when I was able but found that tricky to manage as there are times I myself am out of wood. There is plenty of felled wood all around as the property is surrounded by a dense forest and guests are welcome to gather that to supplement fire making. In my experience as a host, I have noted that folks come together and build mini-communities, share food, fires and is generally a positive vibe. Some come for privacy and solitude, which has not been an issue thus far. All in all the energy is upbeat and folks make friends along the way- me too! Brattleboro is a funky, hipster town with many excellent restaurants and much to see and do. For winter enthusiasts Mount Snow is a 30 minute drive and folks can cross country ski and snowshoe right from their camp sites to the 36 mile trail. The Hipcamper can expect privacy yet easy accessibility to the homeowner for tips and ideas to support a positive experience. Campers may be greeted and visited my friendly Bernese Mountain Dog's, Loki Bear and Levi!

With the main house built in 1860 this property has seen many uses such as a farm, retail Christmas store, church, rental cabins, and a gravel quarry among other things. I now try to keep the back acreage by the brook and pond as natural as possible for habitat, as well as you the campers! Learn more about this land: I have 3 well spaced out RV sites on the property. They fit different sized rigs so please read the descriptions. Most will have cell service at the sites or there is a free public Wi-Fi in Wilmington center. Private yet convenient to Downtown Wilmington, VT. Located between the Harriman reservoir and Lake Raponda, both great for boating, fishing and swimming. As well as the Deerfield River across the street, which runs through town. There is a public hiking trail that goes through the property. It goes from the Fairview ave. boat launch in Wilmington, all the way up to West Dover. You can access this at the back of the site. The sites are only a minutes drive from downtown Wilmington, or you can hike/bike there on the trail (approx 15 min). In Wilmington there is plenty of shopping, gifts, coffee, restaurants, gas, liquor store. I also have dry, split firewood available for $10 on site. Please don't bring your own unless it is prepackaged from shaws or bought from one of the local sellers right around me. Transportation of out of state firewood can bring invasive beetles to our forests...

Where horses and wagons would stop to off load part of their load to continue up the hill. They would return to pick up the rest and continue on. Since inheriting the farm, we have moved towards sustainable farming. We follow grass fed measures while raising our sheep the poultry free ranges to control the flea and tick population on the farm. Our vegetables are grown organically. We harvest only what is needed to heat our home from the forest leaving under growth alone. Last fall almost a hundred acres, of our farm, went into land conservation protecting it from urban sprawl.

It is the perfect basecamp for day hikes, wildlife spotting, and stargazing. Trails wind down into lush forests or up to even higher viewpoints for the daring explorer. Hike to a breathtaking swimming hole with all natural running water and waterfalls, then grab a bite to eat at the Guilford Country Deli with organic handmade sandwiches and desserts. Guests are welcome to relax by the pond and grab eggs from the chicken coop. Many breweries and restaurants in the area as well as berry picking farms and apple orchards. Guest can also enjoy renting a canoe and spending the day on the Connecticut river or attending local events in Brattleboro like first Friday (a monthly gathering of local craft makers, food trucks, and music). We are only 5 minutes from I-91 and the Massachusetts border. As the sun sets, golden light spills across the rocks and wildflowers, and the sky deepens to hues of lavender and ember. At night, stars emerge in dazzling clarity, unobscured by city lights or canopy, with the Milky Way streaking overhead like a celestial river. It’s a place where time slows down, and the world below feels very far away.
