Weekend Trip to Winimusett Farm

We took our fireworks sensitive dog with us to this site over the holiday weekend and it was the perfect getaway. Quiet, private, but cozy and comfortable, we had a lovely getaway.

Weekend Trip to Red Maple Farm Riverside Cabin

What a gem of a site! So thoughtfully put together with a great blend of camping feel with great amenities, including a high quality indoor space, a screened in pop-up with table, great quality outhouse, outdoor shower and sink, etc. We were stocked with wood, bug torches, a great propane grill (bring your camping pans!) and even a great two-person inflatable floatie for the water. The privacy was awesome, though Denise was just a quick text away. The nearby town is precious, with a great coffee shop and breakfast/lunch joint.

I had magical experience at this little cabin. It was my first solo trip and it was refreshing. I loved learning about the history of the farm and the cabin. The landscape was breathtaking, the cabin was cozy, and I had everything I needed. I particularly liked the couch in the cabin. I saw so many stars at night, saw lightning bugs and bats, and heard an owl. I could go on and on. Long story short, I highly recommend this cabin.

2 nights at Red Maple Farm Riverside Cabin

This is an excellent site with many nice amenities. We enjoyed fishing and swimming in the river, sitting by a campfire and a few nice nature walks just a short drive down the road. The Cabin is appointed very nicely with comfortable beds and kept the bugs at bay. Denise was wonderful and very responsive, thank you again!

Weekend Trip to Woodland's Edge Glamping & Hot Tubs

The Mossy Glen Bell Tent is one of three beautiful campsites here. The area is gorgeous and magical, with fairy-lighted paths leading to the campsites. This was "glamping" in the sense that we did not have to set up our own tent and Andrea set up a double-size cot, an air mattress, and a big bean bag with blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags. I am glad we also brought our own sleeping bags and pillows to add to the bedding options and make it even more comfy. The bell tent itself is like a big army-style tent with a zippered door. We were a group of 3 and had plenty of space. The first night it rained a lot, but we stayed cozy and dry in the tent. The floor is not very even (it's set up on pallets to keep the floor dry and elevated) so be careful walking around. The campsite also featured a covered kitchen structure with counter space and a place to lock up food and trash. Andrea provided a cast iron pan, 3 tin cups, a cutting board, and a glass growler full of water, which she refilled once for us. Bring your own water too. Attached to the kitchen structure is a composting toilet (for poop only, you should pee in the woods). There's also a table, 2 plastic chairs, a bench, and a fire pit. Andrea provided one bin of firewood for free, and we bought a second bin for $8. This kept our fire going all day! There is a huge expanse of beautiful, magical forest right behind this site that we explored for hours. This place is amazing; highly recommend! Andrea is a great host!

Sunset hill Pat's place was so beautiful and peaceful. The people who served ys were incredible. Super friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend. I will definitely book again!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was very secluded and private while having access to the lovely grounds and hikes. The electric battery and propane stove made cooking very easy and we had cozy nights by the wood stove. The farm grounds are beautiful and we loved exploring the ponds and brook.

We loved our stay at Misty's cabin! She was so kind in driving us up to the cabin in the rain and ensuring we had everything we needed. The cabin was perfectly cozy - we loved the wood stove, the outhouse, the loft and comfy couch. Misty left detailed instructions and was easy to contact.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin! Comfortable couch, cozy fire place, and lots of privacy. The bed in the upstairs nook stayed warm on a cold night. We hope to return!

We currently have a one-room, wood stove warmed, cozy sleeping loft for one or two - with two benches below on either side of room - for two sleeping bags; plus, a separate 22 foot Sioux tipi with two cots. There are two chairs in the tipi, which if removed at night, make floor room for four other sleeping bags. 'Forest Bathing' for miles! If you're a larger group booking Salamander Hollow main camp with its Sleeping Library, Tipi & Slovenian Beehive House, you might consider renting this additional Tiny Cabin want to entertain all in glamping style, utilizing its amenities; as well, providing another bathroom/shower and guest bedroom for those who prefer being indoors while in the great outdoors. Note that Kula Bata Tiny Cabin abuts the wheelchair accessible larger bathroom/shower which is available to those at the Salamander Hollow main camp, yet you are secluded with your own private entry points and private bathroom. A ten minute drive takes you to the parking area to hike up Tully Mountain. There is a grill, wood fired pizza oven, two fire pits and a hygienic Incinolet electric toilet on the property for night convenience, with small camp sinks for washing & teeth brushing. Take a short hike off the property to organic Chase Hill Farm for milk, eggs, seasonal veggies, grass fed meat and other goodies. Say hello to their cows, chickens, pigs, goats, pups and kids. Nestled across the road from Salamander Hollow is Timber Haven Farm, where you can schedule your pickup of bacon and eggs, while loading up on delicious Owl Energy Bars for your adventurous excursions. For those interested in the glamping side of camping, you will enjoy a remote rustic experience with a few creature comforts to keep you well read, clean and fed. Please bring your own bedding - pillows, sleeping bags, comforter, teddy bears.There is a wall mounted blue tooth car radio/CD player in Sleeping Library, so bring your pre-digital favorites. Classical CDs to listen to. Lots of eclectic books to peruse.Walkie talkies, a set of 4, are available upon request. Chess & poker sets, too. Electric 2-burner stovetop and griddle upon request. Bring fire-starters/newspaper for tinder. We suggest if you are staying more than a night or two in winter, you bring supplemental wood or we can direct you to a nearby stand. Next season, our own cut and split wood will be seasoned and available on site. We ask that you carry out trash and recyclables. An established Western facing four point sacred Medicine Wheel site being established on Askari Ridge - our name for the slope starting with the two fire pits - 'Askari' being Swahili for night guard. Here is where we envision a great touch-point area for those leading groups to be for a base-camp by day or night, where eventually a multi-use tenting platform/performance stage will be constructed for outdoor entertainment, creating an authentic 'stadium style' seating on the hill. You will see on your way up to Salamander Hollow main clearing - the Kula Bata Tiny Kabin on the left of the dirt road- now available to rent with its small guest room for two, infrared sauna, hot shower, kitchenette, dishwasher and laundry.

Our extra large tent can hold a family/friend group of up to 8 comfortably, but is also cozy enough for a couple's getaway. Your private campsite is on the edge of a mixed-wood forest. Deer roam free and you will surely hear the call of coyotes and owls at night. Centrally located within 10 minutes of downtown Amherst, 15 minutes to downtown Northampton, this tent is the perfect base camp to access all that this region has to offer. Flea markets and farmers markets on the weekends, malls, museums and numerous restaurants in the area should you decide to venture out for a bite to eat. Holland Glen, a popular hiking spot with waterfalls and swimming holes is a quick 3-minute drive to the trail head. It is an easy 1-mile ride to the start of the Norwotuck Rail Trail a paved bike path through wetlands and rolling farmland. Or simply stay put, unplug, and relax in one of the hammocks or enjoy our one of a kind wood-fired hot tubs! The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site. Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species. The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent. Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!!
