We are a Nature Retreat bordering Nature Conservancy land along a tributary and up and down the Rappahannock River. You can hike along the stream down to the river and up and down the river. You can fish and float the river. There are no trails so a moderate level of fitness and comfort in the forest is needed.
You can follow the water ways but it is wilderness. Camping there is primitive but available or you can camp or glamp at Earthwalk Ways Retreat. We are also adjacent to a 50 acre farm on the other side of the creek that is available for hiking. There is a reservoir nearby as well.
We are in the midst of the suburbs not far from Fredericksburg, which has some great historic and community places of interest.
Our facilities are private and we only rent to one or 2 guests at a time. You can glamp in a trailer, or car camp in a nice campground with power and water or you can go primitive and pack in. All spaces include access to our classical 11 circuit labyrinth and backyard gardens where you can enjoy zen rock garden and other contemplative nature crafts. There are some great extra's here as well including an outdoor jacuzzi and indoor infrared sauna and massage chair. These spa features are another great way to get your zen on here. I offer Forest Bathing and individual retreat support sessions, an quarterly sweat lodge and also vision quest support if people would like to experience a solo nature immersion feast.

I stayed at Conus SKY Farm (now known as Camp Comus) multiple times in my RV. I love the farm animals, the Camp Hosts, the solitude, and the feel of the forest. 20, 30, and 50 amp electric, bathroom, and central water source is available. I will definitely be back next year.

My husband, myself, our kids and grandkids all met up at this amazing farm just overnight for a wonderful and rare campfire get together, but wished we had stayed longer. The grandkids loved all the animals but especially Zeus, the big, super sweet dog of the property!
The expansive property accommodates RVs well with plenty of space to be private yet camp amongst the animals. Our camp host greeted us, got us set up with power, and told us all about the workings of the farm and all that was available to us on the property. These extras that you don’t normally get at most Hipcamp properties was really cool! A barn with a restroom and gathering area where chili was available the night we were there along with many homemade and local goodies like shortbread cookies, honey, dried lavender sachets and produce for purchase. We happily donated a small amount toward taking care of the rescued animals on the farm.
A couple of our kids and their families live in the area so we will definitely be back! Thanks Juanita it was a pleasure!!

Beautiful, peaceful location with an incredibly friendly and responsive host! Getting to say hi to the very friendly dogs and kitten was a definite plus. Plenty of room to set up camp while still being a stone's throw away from the barn with a restroom & running water. All in all a tremendous experience!

Juanita's horse farm has plenty of room for RV and tent campers. I enjoyed the quiet country feel, the animals (her sweet dogs, the ducks and geese and the neighbors horse), and the solitude of walking her trails surrounded by autumn trees. The camp hosts are absolutely fantastic. Friendly, accommodating, and generous. They made me feel like family.
The Comus Inn restaurant is a hidden jewel. There are lots of nearby areas to explore, breweries and wineries to sample, and the trails of Sugarloaf mountain are worth your time. I plan to return next year at this time.

Darlene's land was a perfect hip camp. Usually my dogs and I hit the hay at nightfall, but Darlene's camp has an electric pole with a light, a screened tent with a table and chair, and an extra electric plug (recharge phones) - it was private and serene - plus Darlene was a FANTASTIC communicator, who meets you there to show you how the compostable toilet works, where to get firewood, etc. - then leaves you your privacy. Only a small disclaimer for travelers with dogs, IF you have a reactive dog (as one of mine is) there is quite a bit of wildlife noise in the woods. Highly recommend this hipcamp.

I had a beautiful experience here. Darlene was so generous with her flexibility and understanding of my circumstances. I came here looking for a bit of healing and quiet. I stayed under the gazebo and enjoyed the spa twice! The property is so lovely and magical. I felt held by the trees and Darlene even helped guide me through some of the strong emotions I was experiencing. Such a beautiful experience. I will be back soon.

Loved the farm so much it was hard to leave. I had to keep extending my stay to check out more of the area. It was very peaceful and everyone was incredibly nice. Hate to let people know because im sure it will be full up when I try to come back, but it is a great place to go.

I had electricity and was able to easily fill my talk. The hosts (Josh and Katie) are VERY welcoming. Juanita is delightful and very accommodating. The geese and ducks are great reminders you are on a farm and the horse next door is very friendly. I saw a deer most evenings. It was quiet and comfortable. Will return soon and next year at this same time.

It was a tranquil setting, with lots of old growth trees and trails. The pavilion, with hammocks and a swing, was so much fun for the kids and made a wet day go by quickly. The chickens and ducks were right near the pavilion, as was a beautiful veggie garden. The camp hosts were so attentive and educational to our child in the garden. We sprung for the English breakfast, and our kid kept talking about it! We wish we could have stayed longer, but we'll go again for a close by camping trip!

When I arrived after dark, I was greeted by the campground host, Katie. She kindly guided me to a good place for my camper van. The farm is beautiful and the camping areas are clean and pleasant. I spent a little extra to have the use of the "sniff-spot" off leash area for my dogs; this is an important feature for me. I would happily stay again.

This was our second trip here and we’re already planning another. There are options for hookups or to boondock and the camp hosts are fantastic, we got the most incredible tomatoes from their garden and we had a wonderful afternoon at a winery nearby. I almost don’t want to share this gem.

Only stayed one night as we were traveling through for a baseball game in Baltimore but we would 100% stay again, we had a nice quiet spot near the back of camp with plenty of room as tent campers. Bathrooms/showers were only a few steps away. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and made us feel safe and right at home. ☺️

I’M COMING BACK! I went for a spontaneous solo trip with my dog on a Saturday and stayed 24 hours and LOVED every minute of it. Love that I could check in at 2p and leave by 3p (instead of being rushed out at noon).
The creek was low (Sept) but it didn’t stop me from getting wet and exploring the unique little pools of aquatic life and sun bathing on the rocks. Sooooo much to explore and take in! I had ENTIRE campsite to myself and it was AMAAAAZING! You could feel the love and good energy of this place. It’s nature pristine and untouched. PLEASE if you visit, let’s keep it this way! If you love raw forest nature then this is for you! It’s shocking that this place exists 1.5 miles from where I live and be so peaceful and secluded. The little trails leading to gazebo and around it are so well maintained that I walked barefoot the entire time. Bring good boulder climbing shoes to explore creek😉 and be smart and bring your first aid when you go because you will be pretty off road and if you have T-Mobile like me (no network service😂).
There is electric in gazebo with a fan and lights. There is also a smokeless firepit for inside gazebo at night which was GREAT!! Your in forest with large canopy so you’ll see sun but it’s cooler so keep in mind when packing. Slept great in the hammock and Darlene does have netting up on the sides (winner!). Hardly ANY mosquitos (and they love me and I came prepared!) but bugs in general are minimal considering where you are. LOVED IT! 😍
