Jug Bay wetlands, wineries, fun little waterfront towns and Bay front restaurants all within easy reach.

The 3,510 acre forest was once the winter camping ground of the Piscataway Tribe because of the mild climate and abundance of game. Legend claims that there is a Native American burial ground within the forest... but it has yet to be found. Spooky! We offer Primitive Camping for both People and Horses. We are family run business speciallizing in Gypsy Vanner Horses, Equestrian Camping and trail riding. The 3,510 acre forest was once the winter camping ground of the Piscataway Tribe because of the mild climate and abundance of game. Legend claims that there is a Native American burial ground within the forest... but it has yet to be found. Spooky! Equestrian, family and youth group campsites are available for your overnight stay. 19.5 miles of horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking trails weave through the forest. They pass a number of historical features, including the loblolly pine plantations that were planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's, by a charcoal kiln, and through farm areas whose springs and streams were used to make moonshine!

This camp is a very quiet rural location (45 minutes to Lewes and Cape May Ferry) and has a great list of amenities. The camp hosts are welcoming and very helpful. Shout-out to Dave for assisting us on arrival. The animals are cool and mostly friendly. The pool looked nice as did the meadery- didn't have time to try these. The nature walk was really nice and easy to follow. Now to the sites themselves - if you're looking at a full hook-up site, you will need to bring plenty of waste line and water line as the utility layout is challenging. Our recommendation is to call ahead and ask about site layout. Upon departure we ended up dumping our full grey and black tanks at Killen Pond State Park about 9 miles away. For those with 30-Amp rigs, do have a 50-amp converter in your electric box for flexibility in site selection. Overall, a nice long weekend stay with friendly hosts.

What a great find in Anne Arundel County. This is a beautiful and well maintained property and only 40 minutes from my front door. Site 1 was spacious and had room for two trucks and tents. Communication was great and Randy provided easy to follow directions. We will be back for sure!

The camping site was so beautiful. A picnic table was provided and I was able to purchase some fire wood that the owner dropped off at our site. Plenty of room for the 6 people I camped with, two tents and two cars. Plenty of places to walk around and explore and so fun to see the horses walk by! There was some confusion checking in and finding the spot as there are a few spots around the acres. I would love to come back someday!

We arrived later in the evening than we had initially planned due to heavy traffic and construction on the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Craigs spot was just what we needed. They were very accommodating for us, & turns out closer to our work in the area. We did have a blackout with the 30amp (had the adapter), but within 20 minutes they had it fixed & he surprised us with an update to a 50amp the very next day! highly recommend! loved the feeling of seclusion & their ponies/donkey!

This is my first time using hipcamp and honestly the experience was perfect. everything looks just like the pictures. it is a very quiet safe neighborhood. I had stuff on top of my car that was untouched and safe in the morning. Bring your own Camp toilet and you're good to go. To be this close to everything. And so much cheaper than a hotel. Would absolutely recommend this place.

The campsite was wonderful! They had cleared debris for our tents before we arrived and left us plenty of firewood to last us our stay. The view was fantastic and we saw/heard lots of beautiful wildlife. 9/10 would visit again! Only gripe was the distance from the only toilet (though we were told upfront about that before booking, so they were at least clear and upfront about it).

We had a great two-night stay in our 13 foot travel trailer here. We were at site #1 and chose the spot furthest back and it was perfect for us. I’m not an expert with the trailer but was able to position on a flat spot at Randy’s recommendation that gave us a nice view of the cornfields. It was very peaceful, we put the fire pits to use, and had a wonderful stay. It’s pretty local for us and we definitely would stay again.
