Randall Farm, field of dreams

10 sites ¡ RVs, Tents100 acres ¡ Newport, ME
We are third generation Randalls to own this 100 acre farm. We love the property and we are creating an event venue space. On the farmhouse side we have an original 1800s barn. We are building a large pavilion for events. Behind this area there is a rolling hill which overlooks Dixmont mountains. Across the road, is a large, flat field with small farm pond with tree swing, rustic arbor and historic farm equipment. We are just a few miles off I-95 both north and south bound. The farm is just a few miles away from Plymouth Pond, Etna Pond and just about 10 miles away from Newport with ATV trails, Sebasticook Lake and main direction to enter the lakes/Appalachian Mountain region. Stay to visit nature or stay for easy access to the Bangor Waterfront, Cross Insurance Center or the Children's Discovery Museum.

Soul Retrieve-Hill LLC

12 sites ¡ Lodging, Tents10 acres ¡ Sebec, ME
My husband and I bought this property in January of 2020. The main house was just a shell but, we had a vision for it. We were so excited about the history of the home and land. Bill Irwin, his family, and his dog “Orient” owned the property and stayed in the “camp house” located below while building the main house. Bill was legally blind and Orient was his guide dog. Bill and orient hiked the Appalachian trail and received awards as well as a book written called "Blind Courage.” Bill passed away before he could finish the home. We felt it would be nice to fix up the house below and make it a tribute to Bill and Orient being we had been left quite a few artifacts of theirs. Unfortunately after looking into fixing it up, it was suggested to tear it down. Then we made the decision to clean up the land for campers. We hope people can come enjoy the peacefulness that we have so much enjoyed for the past 3 years. We have fiber wifi access throughout the property and a full community kitchen, shower room, and sitting area that is close to all of our cabins and tent sites.

Camps of the Pioneers

Our property has a history detailed in the arrowheads and other Wabanaki artifacts found around the property. We use our 6 acre property to focus on producing organically grown herbs, fruit, vegetables for local markets. We're finally making available the properties scenic brooks, forests and meadows to folks seeking to experience a truly unforgettable, countryside retreat. We’re just off the beaten path in an agricultural and fishing community on the Union River, 20 minutes drive from Acadia National Park and Mt. Desert Island. See what our other guests have had to say about their stays-“It’s an experience I would repeat with pleasure. Difficult to be short about my highlights: hearing the loon at night certainly, waking up with the quarter moon over my head, seeing the progression in changing colors of the leaves, the views from Mount Cadillac, and Beech Wood trail, Jordan Pond and the Bubbles,so many things really.” - Christine from Montpelier, France, Sept 2021."We were so at peace when we got here we just spent the rest of the day hanging at the yurt enjoying the peace and quiet today we are heading to the ocean!"- Jody from New Hampshire, July 2021."We could not have found a more idyllic place, plus it was our first experience in a yurt. We found your notes about Acadia super helpful and the yurt was just so beautiful and cozy. Having a hot bath and a little fire in the wood stove after a day of biking the Carriage Roads and swimming at Sand Beach could not have been more perfect. So glad we were at the yurt to enjoy the area and Acadia. We had an incredible stay and are hoping to come back next summer."- Jenn & Neil, August 2020.

Back Forty Camping at its best

1 site ¡ RV, Tent75 acres ¡ Corinna, ME
The land our farm is on has been in my family for generations.   It was originally part of my Great Grand Fathers dairy farm.   We took over this section of the land to create our own farm several years ago.  We raise beef, pork, chicken, and goats to sell.   We also have several horses on the farm.    The camping spot has been used by our family for years hosting “back forty” parties and weekend getaways.  The pond was dug by my grandfather over 40 years ago for irrigation.    It is no longer used for that and has become a wonderful frog pond that is stocked with trout.    Over the last few years, we upgraded the camping area with a shed, outhouse, fire pit and granite bench, and a bean hole bean pit.  The shed is used for firewood storage and other camp items.     We have direct access to the ATV/Multi use trail system that can take you all over Central Maine.   We have mowed waking trails around the property and acres of woods to explore.
