the cabin is in winter mode and has limit water, please bring all the water you need. if you forget or need more the can supply water when we are available to do so. Our cabin is an off grid (very limited power, now way to charge or plug in AC devices) post and beam structure that we built 8 years ago. It's has a full kitchen, wood stove, and screened porch. There are jugs provided for doing dishes etc and a large (150 gallon) tank outside for refills. There are a generous supply of lanterns (both battery and inflatable solar) flashlights and string lights for lighting. This is a small two story timber frame cabin off grid and secluded deep in the woods. It has a separate outhouse as well as shower stall to use the solar shower bags in. The cabin has a king sized bed in the loft with a child size fold down bunk above it; there is also a pull out couch on the first floor. As well as a kitchen, screened in porch and fire pit. Linen, dishes and utensils are not included please bring all that you need. There is a propane 4 burner stove with oven and solar shower bags. Trash and campfire wood is included. We are very busy with kids and work, we try our best to clean and re-supply between guests but it is not always possible, please let us know if something needs attention!

In the winter we have a ski tuning room. We are also only 2 miles south of the town of Stratton-Eustis and Flagstaff Lake. The Campground has (9) tent sites with a parking spot and fire ring and a picnic table, (4) Van sites with a parking spot and fire ring and a picnic table, and (4) cabins with a parking spot and fire ring and a picnic table. There is a lounge with full kitchen, couches, tv, and games. The lounge area is also where you will find 4 toilets and 2 coin operated showers. The sites are nestled amongst the trees for a woodsy feeling. For people who love all the outdoor sports; hunting, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, boating and hiking and mountain biking.

Michelle's cabin was a great spot to stay overnight, she was communicative and clear with directions and always easy to get in touch with. The cabin was quaint, cosy and fit 3 people without a problem, the outhouse and shower were clean and super helpful, too - definitely would stay again!

Weekend Trip to 100 Mile Wilderness Cabin

This was our second visit to Paul's cabin and did not disappoint again. Paul made sure there was enough water and wood to last our stay. There is now a flushing toilet outside which was a nice treat. There are many fantastic walking trails close by including the Appalachian Trail. This time round we spent time at North Pond and Juniper Knee Pond and hiked 4ish hour to Little Wilson Falls (there and back and time at the falls).

This is the best hipcamp site I've seen so far. We have stayed here 4 or 5 times and will definitely return. My son asked to spend his birthday here this year. There is a wood stove, comfortable beds and even a little electricity for lights. It is very private and quiet. It is well kept and tidy. Dogs are welcome.

Weekend Trip to Trees of Life Retreat (ToLR)

My pup and I had a great time at ToLR. We had a hilarious greeting of turkeys and hens and then about 100 yards then to the right and we were there! The happy birds were a highlight each morning, the nuthatches were busy. The trails behind the woodshed were lovely and quiet. The cabin was so clean and so thoughtfully done. We didn’t want to leave and will for sure be back. Such a lovely and peaceful place.

I had the BEST two nights staying at the Bird’s Nest! It was so beautiful and cozy. The weather held out long enough to enjoy walking through the trails on the property, and building a fire in the wood stove was perfect for the rainy and chilly evening. Lisa is a wonderful host and put so much thought into everything one might need while staying here. I hope to be back again soon!

The hosts were not intrusive, but were quick to respond to my questions. There's generous amounts of firewood on the property and the bench near the fire pit is at the perfect slant for stargazing. I really loved my stay here! It’s a great spot to relax and unwind. The coin operated showers were actually really nice. The cabin had a cozy, rustic vibe that made the stay memorable. Just a couple things for future guests. The cabin I stayed in had a screened entry instead of a solid door, so it got a little chilly at night. Also with it being so close to other cabins, we had to hang a blanket on the door. Being close to the road means you’ll hear some traffic, and the dogs from the nearby house barked a bit here and there. The game hall and kitchen area are a little dated, but they were clean and worked just fine.

What an awesome spot! The Birds Nest doesn’t disappoint. The Nest sits on the same property as the owner but it’s far enough away that you can’t even see anything. Such a magical little cabin with an awesome wood stove that will keep you more than cozy. Everything was nice and clean/tidy….the outhouse was the same. Amazing location for hiking. World class fly fishing in the Carrabassett River not far away. Me and the ole girl and I can’t wait to come back!!

Loved everything about this cabin. Perfect peaceful getaway to celebrate my good friends birthday. Wood stove heats cabin very well. Screened in porch is a nice added touch. Beds are all very comfy and it was nice having lights the worked! I would come back here again and again as it is just far enough away from civilization but also close if you needed to run somewhere for food or coffee! Also loved the amount of privacy the host gives you. I did not see the host at all during our stay but knew if we needed anything they were a call away.
